“Always a good experience! This last time I used a delivery service; they called me to ask about a substitute for a soup I ordered, but not recognizing the number I ignored it. Turns out, they sent me some complimentary soup to rectify the situation ?Vegetarian options: Various soups, salads, appetizers, etc.Parking: Large parking lotKid-friendliness: Family atmosphere, kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Entry on ground level, no need for ramps. Wheelchair parking spots.“
“My friend came in from Edmonton and I took her to Trattoria Vesso to eat after being so impressed with the restaurant during my first visit. The city was closed down due to the weather so the server and staff were able to give us a little extra attention to go along with amazing food. I will gladly be going back and taking more friends with me.“
“Hands down, the most accomodating and kind staff I have ever encountered. The main dining room was bustling and a little too loud for my partner and I. We were swept into the serene heated patio and pampered over the course of our meal. The service is impeccable and warm. The food is consistently good. A must visit.“
“I went here with my sister and our uncles, D & G, for a reunion after many years back in August 2023. The atmosphere was fantastic and the service was incredible. The waitress we had was very attentive and friendly. My sister was with us and she has a few allergies and I think that this was the most well informed experience I’ve ever seen her have. As the shared dishes came out, they made sure to tell her what possible allergens were in them and they really knew the menu and ingredients, it put our minds at ease. The food was wonderful as well as the cocktails. It was truly a fantastic evening and I can see why my uncles love your restaurant so much. Thank you all for such a great experience and evening and for being part of what was a really special evening for our family.I can’t say enough about how great the entire experience was from the food, drinks, service, all of it. Thank you!!!! Dietary restrictions: The staff are very well informed of the ingredients in the menu and what the potential allergens are. I truly think that this was the most attentive allergy experience I’ve ever seen my sister have. They continued to be well informed and to keep us all well informed on what shared dishes may contain which allergens.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is located on the ground level and the washrooms are as well.“
“Went for a dinner with a friend at 7.30 on a Friday. It was moderately crowded. Became almost full within an hour. It is a very decent place in terms quality and size of portions. I ordered the chicken valley, and I surely recommend it as a full nutritious and delicious dinner dish. The waiters were responsive and very helpful and pleasant. The vibe was beautifully vibrant and the creme brulee is definitely a must. Highly recommended!“
“Place is great and pizza is solid. However, my 5 is based off the arancini alone.I haven't found any arancini in Halifax or Toronto that hold a candle to Sapori's. So crispy, gooey, and delicious you'll probably name your firstborn child after them.“
“Wow, we had such a fantastic experience at the pizzeria! Pizza was incredibly delicious (pizza Siciliana), and we really enjoyed it. The aromas were so inviting, and the service was delightful. We'll definitely be coming back for more!“
“Service was very attentive. Food servings were generous and tasty but my lasagna wasn't hot. Prices were in line with today's norms for a nice restaurant. The dining room is cozy. There was live piano music that wasn't overpowering and added a nice touch.“
“Basically got denied service because I have kids. Went with my young kids to eat early 5pm and was told we couldn't eat there. Staff said they were fully booked, but the place was empty. I had looked online earlier in the day and the earliest booking was at 6pm, so figured they wouldn't be too busy at 5pm if we just walked in. We wouldn't have stayed long anyway (maybe an hour), but they still would not accomodate us. I didn't argue with them or make a fuss, but staff were pretty condescending and didn't make me feel great about being there. Unfortunate, because I will likely take my business elsewhere in the future.Update: Decided to go back since the response to my initial review. Have been happy with the service the last couple times. The food is always good.“
“After exploring downtown Halifax we found this gem and highly recommend you go! Our small party had pasta (kids menu spaghetti &Meatballs), salad (goat cheese fritter) and pizza (pepperoni) and all were delicious and prompt. The wait staff, atmosphere and food worth every “
“We went for the special Women's Day menu. It was a lovely gesture of the restaurant to offer a complimentary main course with the purchase of an appetizer and drink. Our server Michelle was attentive and pleasant and service was efficient. I enjoyed the arancini -a filling appetizer! The chianti was a perfect pairing.“
“**edit we just ordered delivery and omg it is the same**Probably the best pizza I've had in the 3 years I've been in NS. We were helped by Kim and Bobby Jo (I'm so sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!) Truly though, the flavour... I don't know if I can accurately describe how good it was! I thought about taking a picture after we'd finished it. (We got the New York 9")Two hours later my boyfriend turned to me and said "we should have ordered one for later, to take home!"“
“Went here on a tinder date during the height of covid - yeah I know, not my finest moment, but I was pretty desperate for human touch at this point and figured the guilt of being served pizza on a balcony by a service worker in a face shield on a humid summer day would be outweighed by the possibility of experiencing human touch for the first time in four months. I was wrong.“
“I have never written a review before but I felt the need to come on here and give this place 5 stars. Ordered the Alessandro and it was absolutely delicious. Very high quality ingredients, excellent texture and flavor. Hats off to these guys, I'll be making Rinaldo's my go to.“
“Upon visiting Halifax after two years, one of my first stops was here. The donair pizza was absolutely delicious. Despite the owner being a little grumpy, his culinary skills are undeniable. The bread, cheese, and meat were incredibly fresh, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.“
“This location is under newer ownership and the quality of food and customer service has improved exponentially. Fresh with lots of toppings, the crust was tasty and not as greasy as Pizza Hut tends to be. I had made a mistake when ordering online for pickup, so I called and they fixed it for me at no extra cost and were really friendly when I picked it up.“
“Honestly ignore any reviews under 5 stars. This place is the best fine dining place in the city. I've been to a few "fine dining" places in the city and most just pander to tourists, or are just slightly fancy pubs. This place is genuinely good. If you want to take your partner on a "knock your socks off" date, this is the spot. The place feels very high class. The atmosphere is so relaxed and romantic. The food is always immaculate as well. (I highly recommend the mussels as an appetizer) and the staff are very friendly and do their job perfectly every time. They're also very willing to accommodate dietary restrictions, in my experience. (I can't have alcohol in my food)It's right by the waterfront too. Go for a stroll on the waterfront before your reservation and it'll make for the perfect date.Dietary restrictions: I can't have alcohol (even food cooked with alcohol) and every time I've gone, they always been more than willing to accommodate and make my dish without it!Kid-friendliness: Please don't bring your kids here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and romantic. If you bring your kids here, other customers will be upset with you for ruining the vibe. (Including me)“
“Bicycle Thief is one of our favourite restaurants in Halifax. The entire experience is fun and pleasant. The food is exceptional and the staff are very attentive. Their hospitality has been consistent over the years, and we will continue to go back to celebrate our special occasions.“
