This reminded me of the Chinese food restaurants that my friends and I would go to when I was a teenager. I took my daughter and her friend for an impromptu Chinese dinner after an event that was close by. The food was good, the service was good, and the girls really enjoyed their outing. This is not a five-star restaurant, and it doesn't pretend to be. It is just fun with typical Chinese food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I love this place because it is old-school Halifax! The interior is cozy and feels like your stepping into another era! They can accommodate large groups as they have larger tables in their dining room. The food is always fresh and tasty and the owners are kind and welcoming. They do pick- up and delivery, too. I highly recommend The Silver Dragon as a long-time pillar in Halifax's north end!

Have been ordering from Silver Dragon for years, they have an extensive menu and the food is very good. The Almond Gai Ding, Chicken Chow Mein and the Egg Rolls are my favorite and the Won Ton Soup is really good. Decent prices and good portions.
