This local family-run restaurant serves up both Chinese and Canadian cuisine. The menu is very broad and there is a wide variety of options to suit all palates and dietary preferences. The pan-fried whitefish was prepared fresh-to-order and was very tasty. There's usually ample seating available inside and takeout is a popular option here as well. The staff are very friendly and happy to make suggestions for the menu, and service is generally quick and efficient as well. The Gold Range is one of Yellowknife’s oldest establishments and the bistro serves the best Canadian Chinese food in town, the atmosphere likely hasn't changed since the first coat of paint was applied and that's really what gives you the feel of a true greasy spoon Gem. There is even a menu for the Asian palett only for the Asian or foe those who can understand Madarin. This is a must go if you're in the area.
They served Chinese and western food and I had want an noodle and it was decent. They do delivery services as well, note that there is no UberEats or DoorDash in Yellowknife.

Don’t let the outside fool you. We’ve been here working all summer and come for breakfast everyday. Been here for supper (Chinese food) several times as well. The food is very good. Better than the food are the gracious people who work here and truly appreciate your business.
