Authentic family-run restaurant serving delicious Ethiopian food in Yellowknife. There's usually a decent amount of seating available for dining-in and all foods are prepared fresh. The "yetsom beyayantu" is a tasty vegetarian dish consisting of cabbage, carrots, potato, green beans, lentils, misir, shiro, spinach cooked with spices and served with injera - the classic Ethiopian flatbread. Surprisingly delicious! I loved this quaint and traditional Ethiopian restaurant, definitely an unexpected pleasant surprise to find in the small town of Yellowknife. We went for lunch during the week in January, and two other groups came in whilst we were dining.I recommend the mahiberawi combination with extra injera (the spongey bread the food is served on). This is a platter of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, so you get to taste a little bit of many traditional dishes....read full review

This was the first time I tried Ethiopian cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. Since it was my first time eating and my friends who were traveling with us do not eat beef or sheep, the waiter carefully recommended which dish we should try.We ordered the meat combo and curry chicken, and I highly recommend Ethiopia Coffee?
