“Everyone was very friendly. Even the patrons were open and smiling. I love the fire pit at the table. Live music gave a cool vibe as well. My server was amazing and my food was as well. Tried the Kalua and cream coffee and the breakfast tacos. Yum!“
“Daily happy hour 2-5 PM wing deal at $0.75 per wing. Go with the spicy BBQ sauce, you won't regret it.We had a build your own platter of brisket and a tri-tip sandwich w/ the 50-50 cowboy beans and mac'n'cheese mashup. While BBQ sauces are available, if you use them, you'll miss out on all the subtle flavors imparted by the meat. The 50-50 was double comfort yumminess in a single bowl; a great option for the indecisive! For dessert, we had the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. That was a perfect fini to a fantastic meal.Throughout our visit service always included a smile and a willingness to answer questions and provide really good recommendations. If we ever make it back this way, we will definitely visit again.“
“Great place to stop and have a bite to eat. If you are driving through or taking a break from off roading this is the best place in town. Great burgers and amazing service. Gives you small town diner feel while having big time taste. If you are looking at multiple places, stop. This is the one. Come in. Grab a cold beer and enjoy a burger!“
“We always have a great time at Maxx's! Never felt unwelcome, always get friendly service from the bartenders and delicious food from the cooks. The Best Dam White Pizza is my go-to, but all the pizzas are very tasty and come with heaps of toppings. The crust is a thinner style, which we love (if you want pan-pizza this isn't the place), and there are many toppings to choose from. Sandwiches and salads are great too. They have live music and karaoke depending on the night, there's no smoking in the bar, decent selection and prices on drinks. What more do you want?“
“After a hike from Lake Mead to the Hoover Dam, we stopped in the historic downtown prior to heading back to Vegas. It was New Years Day and the place was definitely hoppin! The servers were sweet and kind. They did their best and I could not be more grateful. We ordered a couple of small bites: 1. Potato Skins: delicious and crispy. We opted for no sour cream, but it was still yummy. The only thing is that it had a bit too much cheese, but overall was able to take some of it off. 2. Corn Cob Bites: the seasoning on this was phenomenal. It was pretty spot on with a chile and lime flavor. The ranch on the side was a delicious pairing 3. Chili Cheese Fries: these weren't on the menu, but they still have them. The fries are nice and thin and crispy. The chili taste home made and the cheese was the perfect pull. Overall this bar is such a great stop whether you are heading into town or heading out.“
“All I can say is what an excellent place to visit best nachos I've ever had and I own a food establishment so I know good food. Side note to customers who order the steak nachos just order them without taking anything off I almost did and it would have been a very big mistake just take them the way they make them you won't be sorry.“
“My wife and I really enjoy coming here for breakfast and a morning cocktail, especially on an off season weekday. Just a hop skip and a jump from Boulder City and the few people who would be there on a day like that are all locals. Great views, wonderful atmosphere, tasty food and cheap drinks. I love that it feels like a hole in the wall in an otherwise busy corner of Nevada. If there's a bummer part about this place is that you need to have a National Parks Pass or day pass to get here. Otherwise, it's a great way to feel like you're getting away without actually going anywhere too far.Parking: There's plenty of parking but you do need to have or pay for a day use pass to the Lake Mead National Park to get here.“
“The Patio at Chilly Jillez is my FAVORITE place for breakfast!! Love the fire pits during cooler months and the live music. We bring our out-of-town friends and they always love it too!! It's so special!! The service is amazing, the music is perfect, the open-air feeling is great, and the food is fabulous!!! I try to describe to our guests how it changes to a very elegant romantic dinner restaurant in the evenings but it's hard to imagine the tablecloths and lighting. Wish that I liked the dinner menu more~ we'd go more often but so far, it doesn't match the deliciousness of the brunch menu. I tell everyone about The Patio!! It's the BEST!!!“
“Used to be excellent, now it’s just good. We’ve been going there for many years & stayed at their attached hotel a couple of times. We’d have rated them at 5 stars about 4 years ago, & loved their winter lamb shank specials. Their wines were reasonably good & the pours fairly generous. The cook changed, the lamb shank became a lamb stew (with 1/2 the lamb & lots of rice filler) & the waitrons became increasingly ding-dongy & inattentive. We stopped going there in 2020.Went back a couple of weeks ago & it was "ok". No more lamb, the beef short ribs were "ok" but overpriced, wine selection on the menu was minimal, the waitron was inattentive & distracted, & basically a meh experience overall.Go there for the old town ambience, but as for good food & attentive service, you could definitely do better. Too bad, because Milo's used to be excellent in both respects.“
“We were so excited to come across this place!!!! I didn't know these A&Ws were still around!!! We got the Root Beer Shake and the cheese curds! Everything tasted so good!!! We will definitely take the extra trip to come here when we visit Vegas!“
“Thank you so much to our waitress. We called to make a reservation from SoCal for after a funeral service. She called us the day of to confirm and also to tell us that she took the liberty to put some flowers on the table. Arrangements were beautiful and very thoughtful. The food was amazing, we tried the nachos, the artichokes, the bacon wrapped asparagus, pizza and wings. Everything was amazing and very well taken care of. Thank you again for making this easy on us during tough times.“
“We have been here several times in the past year and the place definitely had issues. The place wasn't clean, service wasn't that great, and the prices were too high, especially for the retirees that live in Boulder City. It really looked like the place was going to die. Recently they advertised on the menu that everything was $10 and under until 10/31 to celebrate the 1 year re-opening. We decided to give it one more try as we really want the place to do well. It appears they have fixed their staffing issues, service and are keeping the floors cleaned up. I wouldn't have recommended this place before, but with the changes made, I would definitely give it a try. Here is to many years to a successful business that we may all go to enjoy. Thank you! We will see you again soon!“
“This is definitely one of the best breakfast restaurants in Boulder City, especially if you want a good Mexican style dish or enjoy something on the sweet side. My wife and I have been coming here ever since they opened up and decided to finally write a review because we find that we always talk about how much we enjoyed it after the fact. Sure, it's not downtown but in a way, that's what makes it so nice and more of a locals joint. While they often have a lot of people dining in it, we've never found it to be overly crowded or had to wait too long for a table if at all and even on a weekend. On our last visit, I had the chilaquiles con huevos with green sauce and chicken and holy cow, it was the bomb! I absolutely loved that the chips were still crispy even though they were drenched in goodness and the chicken was simply delicious. Loved the fact that it was spicy as well. My wife had the french toast with strawberries and bananas and it was just as amazing. This is definitely someplace that I would recommend to anyone passing through town or for any local that hasn't given it a try yet.“
