I've yet to have a bad meal at this place. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, everything seems to be made fresh. The place is a bit old and dated, but kept clean.I think that some of the negative reviews are written by people with very unrealistic expectations. I saw one complaining about no free chips and dip. Love this Mexican restaurant! I had a breakfast plate with chorizo that hit the spot. Their salsa is amazing & service was quick. I would love to go back and try other items on the menu.
I stopped in here yesterday after a co-worker recommended the place. He suggested getting the chile relleno. It's been years since I've had a chili relleno. The place was small. Kind of run down looking. The outside and inside was blue. Hence the name, "Playa Azul." There was no line so I was able to order immediately. Their menu was posted on the wall up front.
