I have been wanting to try El Torito for the 10 years we have lived in the valley. Today was the day. The business has been continuously operating since 1975 and for the Vegas area that's remarkable in itself. When you pull into the parking lot, you'll find that it's semi paved. I've been here twice. The first experience was horrible (service & food) but being local family owned we wanted to give it another chance. Second time around the service was better but the food was the same. I ordered the chicken fajitas. They are NOT fajitas. It was plain shredded chicken. I was so disappointed. I even told the server that I ordered fajitas. He said that was their fajitas. I didn't even eat one taco. I even added beans, guacamole, sour cream & cheese to the taco...read full review
I used to eat and drink here a lot and enjoy myself with friends. But the last couple of times were disappointing. The shrimp tacos and margaritas weren't what I expected. Margaritas are too sugary and barely alcohol in it. Shrimp tacos tasted so plain. I guess I'm spoiled eating at many different Mexican restaurants and expected more flavor. The staff did an awesome job though. They checked on us periodically making sure were okay. This is probably the last time I am coming here.
