Went to the Cafe. There are many items on their menu for $7.99. I ordered Pork loin. It was very good although a bit salty. Very busy restaurant on a Saturday afternoon.

So far, I have been to tamarack casino two times since moving back to reno. I left in 2012. And came back in October of 2023. The cocktail staff leaves a little bit to be desired with the exception of one of the male cocktail servers, I don't know his name but he is always been very friendly and asks personally if you would like something to drink. I can't figure out the rhyme or reason of the stations, and the cocktail servers are not sure whether their customers have been served or not. Based on being a previous cocktail server myself at the peppermill the Atlantis and Jonas coggins nugget, I would recommend if a customer does not have a drink or a beverage, ask them if they would like one. I spent over $140 before asking if I would like something to drink. Otherwise, so far, after visiting twice, I do like the games that the tamarack has to offer they have a lot of the old game Kings not a lot of the U1 games are a lot more straightforward, much more of what I feel like putting my money into. Overall this is a great small casino with a very nice atmosphere. I would definitely give extra kudos to the mail cocktail server I believe his name was Alejandro or ricardo. But the bartender could not confirm that.

Very Clean Place! Restrooms are very clean as well. The restaurant is definitely not into big portions, more on the smaller side my second time around there. Cold salmon dinner. Not impressed.

Went to the DC Café, for late lunch on Friday and came back on Sunday.Food is excellent service top notch, the 2 service people I had were exceptional, like service used to be back in the day.DC Café, has a $7.99 menu and you can't beat the value. The portion is worth double for what you get. This casino restaurant is what casino restaurants used to be like, where you get a good meal for a lower than average price.I hope I don't jinx it because the value is other worldly.On Sunday I came back for the corned beef and cabbage special, for St Patrick's day. Our server, Robert was busy but still attentive, arriving at the restaurant at 1:25 pm, it was very full, but there wasn't a wait, to sit down.When my meal came it my plate was actually arranged with the potatoes arranged in a pinwheel with the carrots, a wedge of cabbage in the center and the portion of corned beef fanned out as if somebody actually cared about it. I was impressed.I'm not one to photograph my food, so there's not a picture.My meal was very good, so good, I'd win the clean plate club award.I had a piece of chocolate cake for dessert, but I had a special request, (I like my Chico cake in a bowl with milk) & Robert, was more than happy to accommodate my request.I definitely will be back, & the DC Café, may become one of my favorite places.I'm not a gambler, so I can't say anything about the gaming at the casino, but I could do without having to negotiate the cigarette smoke while making my way to the café.The casino has a steakhouse, and that menu looks really good, but I'd have to go to their later in the day, I think it opens at 5pm.Every staff member I've interacted with were very nice and professional, almost like they enjoyed their jobs.
