I'm writing this because the ratio of rice to meat is horrendous. It was my first time purchasing from this location in Kew Gardens, around the area of the City Clerk's Office. I can count eight pieces of meat (chicken & lamb) over rice. These are tiny miniature pieces, of course. The rest was just rice. There wasn't a lot of salad either, even though he advertises the extra/more salad, etc. The food was okay. I was in and out, so service was quick, which I liked.

I lived in KG for about a year, and this was a must anytime I passed by. It is in a convenient location near the Union Turnpike Subway Station. I moved out of NYC at the end of 2019, but I do find myself in the area from time to time. I always make a point to come visit this cart whenever possible, even if it involves a 40 minute ride on the Q10. Yes, it's that good. I like to get the platter combo with half chicken, half lamb, extra white sauce, light hot sauce. Pita on the side....read full review

After a dental implant I needed to find a "soft" lunch that would taste ok lukewarm since I wasn't able to have anything hot. So I gave this place a chance. Combination platter consisted of lots of rice, shredded chicken, tender lamb, a small amount of salad, a choice of sauces (the proprietor recommended white being the mildest) and a can of soda. Delicious food and a hearty portion all for $8.00 including the soda.
