Even on a Saturday afternoon in July, it wasn't crowded; there were plenty of people enjoying it, but it was nothing like Jones Beach on a Sunday or Coney Island on Labor Day weekend. Parts of the beach were even empty. The vibe was very chill, with lots of families. No line at the snack bar. The sand and water really weren't dirty.
