Today, my husband picked up dinner for two, and we were dissatisfied with the taste of the food. The Cuban sandwich was not an authentic sandwich, it had pulled pork instead of sliced and my shrimp Mofongo was very stale and hard as a rock. He spent $90 for the take out meal for the two of us But it was probably worth no more than $40 because of the quality of the food. The food we ordered included rice and beans, which were good, empanadas also good, wings, and flan.We had not eaten the food here in a few years and the last time we had an issue with the food and so we probably will never try their food again unless we go and have it in person which makes it easy to send back if it’s unsatisfactory.

I met my best friend for a long anticipated brunch outing,.The food and service were below average and the server was pressed to close out our tab because his shift was over but he said we can stay and order with the new server. The new server was rude and told us we could not order anything else due to a long line of reservations. There was NO ONE waiting. We were told we could no longer be served so we left very disappointed. Needless to say I will never come back. Awful service.

I wish I could say this was good but when you eat a dinner and it's cold it's a huge disappointment. The meat was hot but everything else was cold and the waiter was sent back for some fresh warm beans. That he took care of but his professionalism was one star and a waiter like that you don't want to ask for much. Also blasting music on a Tuesday that was so unnecessary. No more for me

The place is beautiful..I've been coming here for years(10+) never had a problem but I incurred one today..So I decided to eat something lite,to go, and went for the black bean soup with steak, which is extra-$12..I get home and open my dinner and discovered black bean puree and 5pcs of finger-like steak(literally 3in.long) SKINNY FINGERS (check the photo) ALL..FOR $23.A RIP OFF AT IT'S FINEST...COME ONHAVANAS!!!!...AND this is a "BOWL"!!???NEVER AGAIN!!.Ps...PUREE!!?..WHERE are ALL the ingredients from the menu??????..as I saidNEVER AGAIN...FOH!!.

It's a nice community restaurant food & service is great. I've been in this neighborhood 25 yrs and whatever restaurant was in the property never made it past 2 years. Havana's cafe Is so good been there approximately8 yrs or more. Prices are decent for this time and age. So enjoy
The best atmosphere and food. You just have to book in advance from Thursday to Sunday, otherwise you will have to wait up to 45 minutes standing still. But then it's excellent.

I consider Havana Cafe a neighborhood gem because they have four excellent characteristics. Which are good fresh food, great drinks, polite, professional service and an excellent vibe. I am warmly welcomed to the cafe and seated courteously. Someone comes over with water as soon as Im seated. Shortly after, about 5 minutes later your server comes to your table and introduces themselves as my wait person. I asks about the drinks and they give their opinion and so far all recommendations have been on point. I don't think the wait time for drinks is too long. Of course when all tables are occupied it might take a little longer but the wait is not noticeable. I often read menus before I go out to eat so I'm not taking too long to decide what I'm going to eat. However Havana Cafe offerings are many and very delicious so I struggle a bit with what I'm going to eat. I like the name Havana Cafe. It helps me to feel like I'm in a cafe with good drinks, good food, cool people and great vibes.

We were a party of 7 that visited to celebrate a coworkers birthday - the highlight of our dining experience was the service: they were able to receive our cake and balloons prior to partys arrival and hold it for us until the end of our lunch... service was pretty fast and efficient and we had multiple servers pass by our table frequently to assist with any requestsThe reason why our overall experience was negative is because as soon as we started receiving the food we caught a strong and very unpleasant smell - like rancid meat to be specific - and couldnt quite well figure out which plate was the one smelling like that (which caused for some of us to start getting skeptical and hesitant about the food right away)... we eventually realized the plate of the birthday boy was the one smelling weird and we immediately informed the waitress even before touching any of the plates... but she claimed it was the smell of the grill and assured the steak had that strong smell... our coworker ended leaving the steak because honestly, the smell was aweful and a couple of us couldnt even finish our plates (in my particular case I felt disgusted every time I took a bite of my steak thinking it could taste funny or that the meat could be damaged as well)... by the end of lunch when another waiter passed by to collect our plates and napkins I mentioned to him again about the smell of the steak left on our coworkers plate and asked him to check it out in the kitchen if anything because we still felt like there was something wrong with it... but they never came back to say anything about it ? they never offered to bring him another steak in exchange of the steak he didnt have... they didnt offer a refund for his plate... they just didnt say anything about it and got us the bill. So, thats a never again for me ?...
