Went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Fortunately we didn't wait long for a table. We ordered a basic breakfast platter, eggs, bacon, potatoes, a pastrami sammy and french toast. All the food was delicious, well cooked with care. Service was very friendly but a bit slow but understandable seeing how busy it was inside. No complaints in that regard, tbh. Will be going more regularly!Parking: The restaurant has maybe 7/8 spots at most. There was street parking available close by.

I'll start out by saying that this use to be a regular spot for us for a few years when we moved to the area. We hadn't been there since the 2020 shut down. My in laws decided to treat us to breakfast today and they chose here. Our server was wonderful, she really was apologetic for the following incident which really wasn't her fault. We sat down towards the windows, and after a few seconds in the table tipped over, spilling coffees, water, and juice all over. My jacket was soaked! Luckily it was over my lap otherwise I would've gotten burned. Coffee spilled all over my beige Ugg boots, my mother in laws boots too. The owner/manager came over and instead of apologizing and being concerned, he kept being accusatory saying "well someone must've kicked the piece of wood I had underneath". I know for a fact that no one did such thing, and I also know that it's dangerous to rely on a piece of wood to hold up a table. I felt that he was very rude and did not try to remedy the situation. I will say that they deducted the item that I ordered, but honestly his behavior was very off putting. I'll add again that our server was extremely apologetic and felt really bad. She kept coming over to see if I was ok. He never came back for anything. Businesses have no qualms raising prices, they should also invest in proper furniture that is safe enough to enjoy your meal.

Space was tight . It was crowded even for a Friday brunch. Food was good, service was great.

Very good food and excellent service. Wait times are not that long, and it seems to be a very popular place since it's been full the last 2 times I went.

This is one of the last diners in Riverdale. They have a vast menu with the common diner foods. A friendly staff with quick service. Prices are good. It is a very popular place now that there are so few alternatives in the area, which I think is awesome for Tibbett's. Everything tastes fresh and I enjoy the family feel to the diner. Best of luck to all in 2024!

Live in Manhattan, but well worth the short travel time up to Riverdale to visit this gem of a diner. The menu/food is basic diner fare, but tasteful and well-made. Ironically enough, sometimes that’s hard to find a New York City. I ordered the chicken/mushroom sandwich and it was delightful. The mozzarella sticks were also a wonderful appetizer. Price point is pretty much in line with what you would expect at a normal diner, as opposed to those in the city that often times, charge more than some fine dining establishments. All in all, I will be back to Tibbett, for sure. Thanks for a cozy, early evening Winter experience!
