Recently moved to Williamsburg, and as a vegetarian, I’ve been so excited to try a variety of restaurants. We made a reservation and when we arrive, there was about a five minute wait. We had absolutely no problem with that as typically there are weights at restaurants, even with a reservation, but a man who I believe was the manager brought us water and an appetizer to snack on while we waited and apologized more times than necessary. Service is the star of the show at this buzzing Indian eatery in Williamsburg. Atithi translates to “Guest” in Hindi and they do take that seriously with warm, attentive hospitality even on a busy weekend night. The food is great too. Samosas are mind blowing. Bombay bhel needs improvement. Paneer makhani has generous pieces of paneer and a sweet-spicy flavor.
