“Antidote Restaurant totally nails the Chinese food scene! The vibes are cool – a mix of old-school and modern. The menu's like a journey through China, and everything tastes spot-on. The staff is friendly and knows their stuff, making the whole experience chill and tasty. Whether you're into casual eats or something fancier, Antidote is your go-to for legit Chinese grub.“
“Hi all! Yesterday we ordered three lagmans to take with us and were absolutely delighted!!! I've definitely never tried this before! It was truly amazing!!! The portions are large and I thought about not eating it all at once, but I couldn’t stop myself? Very nice service. We were treated to tea, and they also close at 9, but they waited for us for half an hour, thank you very much for that!? I’ll definitely be back ?“
“I saw this place on instagram and added it to my bucket list. My husband and I traveled from Atlanta just to try The Monkey King. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back. Our waiter was accommodating and made us feel like we were seating in VIP. We met the owner Mike. He was professional and was grateful for us traveling to Brooklyn New York to try his restaurant. The taste from each dish blew us away from the concocted herbs and spices. We will definitely return.“
“Mama Lee is truly one of a kind. Cooking is her passion and it comes through in the dining experience. Food was great and service was above and beyond. A home cooked meal in Brooklyn. She even packed our kids extra soup to go.Kid-friendliness: Mama Lee went out of her way for our kids with complimentary soup, chicken salad, and lemonade.“
“The best thing about the restaurant is the old lady that owns the restaurant! Absolutely! Adorable and soo sweet! The beef noodle dish was so5 stars for 5 seasons1. Owner is sweet! Sweetest old lady you’ll ever meet!2. Beef noodle dish was perfection! Super flavorful, noodle texture perfect! Beef was so tender!3. Price was amazing!4. Fast service! Super!5. Location was good! Not the best!“
“I love going to or even just ordering from Shan. Everything is fantastic (although I especially love their dan dan noodles). We usually share the Pork Dumplings in Chill Oil, the Ma-La Szechuan Wonton, Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Soup Dumpling, Crab Roe Soup Dumpling, Sweet & Spicy Udon, and Sliced pork belly w. mustard green.“
“Tonight, I ordered the fish maw chicken soup and the cold cucumber scallion salad. The latter was crunchy, refreshing, and satisfyingly well-balanced in its herby dressing with crushed peanuts. The soup was hot and rich, packed with silky fish maw, springy noodles, four kinds of mushrooms, lettuce, bouncy fried tofu, tofu skin, and tender poached chicken. Beautiful, fresh, comforting, delicious! The restaurant was basically spotless with cheerful vibes and prompt service. Other customers were either chatting happily or eating. 5 stars. I'm already planning my return to try the mala tripe soup.“
“2024 update:I take back what I said below. They updated the mapo tofu dish with soft tofu. I gave this place another chance and it’s actually an amazing restaurant with so many flavorful dishes. Still one of only TWO true Szechuan restaurants in Brooklyn.I just came here during the day for the first time yesterday, and it was such a nice vibe to sit in the restaurant with the sunlight. Very cute vibe, no loud music, and friendly attentive staff. The best way to judge a good sechuan place is by their Mapo Tofu dish. This place uses firm tofu in theirs and the sauce is very off. Very disappointing and not authentic. If I can’t get a good Mapo Tofu somewhere then it is pretty much a deal breaker for me.“
“Had a wonderful Sat. evening at Pusu, where the staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was lovely. My table enjoyed the Lavender Amethyst and Snow Fall cocktails, cucumber salad (heads up, it's spicy!), salt and pepper fried mushrooms, hot and sour soup, and the standout black truffle fried rice, among other delicacies. Our server was sweet and accommodating. I'll be back!“
“Obsessed with Bonnie’s it had such unique takes on Cantonese classics and each dish was excellent. The atmosphere is modern and fresh - would be cute for a birthday or night out with friends/family. Everyone working there is super nice and personable - great service. Great cocktails too!“
“Decent FoodIt was slightly overpriced but definitely not bad at allTheir side dishes are expensive and not that greatTheir noodles are what's goodWait-staff is alright. Some of them can be rude, but they treat you nicely for the most part“
“I remember this place before they even moved into an actual restaurant, it was just a small stall shop on 49th street with just a standing table. I cannot find this flavor anywhere else!! I love every single dish here but especially the zhajiang mi xian (no soup version), the sour spicy dumplings, and the pork intestine noodles. ? this place has to be on my list of top 10 favorite noodles.“
“Bring cash to enjoy this amazing spot.Must try the currant roll. Currant rolls are available after 3PM.If you like coconut, you'll LOVE the coconut roll. It is flaky and came warm.If you like the texture of mochi, and you like almond extract, try the cassava pone. There if usually a line out the door so check before walking in.Line moves quickly and service is very kind.“
“Liked the food a lot, it was fresh and very tasty! We ordered the sesame cold noodles, garlic Chinese eggplant, salt and pepper tofu and vegan made weeping tiger salad. Honestly each dish was better than the other, right amount of spice and was light. The atmosphere was kind of dive bar-y which was pretty nice. The prices were a bit high in my opinion though. The service wasn’t very good. Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu as we were asking her questions about it. She brought the check right after we finished our food without asking if we needed anything else which I found it very odd and sloppy! Maybe she was new…“
“It had been a long time since I'd been excited about Chinese food, but dining at Noodle Lane on a recent Sunday evening changed that completely. This is damn good food- intensely flavorful, surprising, beautifully presented. We have eaten take-out from Noodle Lane several times and always enjoyed- particularly the soup dumplings- which have to be tried to be believed- but dining in the restaurant made the food taste even more delicious. Along with dumplings and our noodle favorites- we tried two dishes that were new-to-us: Mala Dry Pot with shrimp, and Pickled Fish Sichuan Style. Mala Dry Pot was chock full of things I love- crunch from cauliflower and veg, tofu, sesame, and a delicious sauce, despite the word "dry" in the dish name. The Pickled Fish was unlike anything I've ever had- tart and spicy at the same time, but not too hot, so that the flavors shone through. We had a side of green and fresh seasonal veg and enjoyed a nice Gruner Veltliner with the meal- cooling and bright paired with the bold flavors. Throughout the evening, the service was professional and warm, though the staff was hopping with lots of tables filled and lots of take-out orders being prepared. We were near the kitchen- which has a big window to see where the magic takes place- in a cozy corner. Noodle Lane is such a great addition to the neighborhood- though also worth coming to from afar. The interior is bright and modern but also cozy; a comfortable space for a gathering of two or three friends; and also nice for families. Our kid loves the food! We enjoyed the neighborliness of the restaurant and seeing people we knew, having a short-but-sweet conversation before they left. Our experience dining at Noodle Lane came at the end of an incredibly busy period and it was so nice to simply sit back, relax, and be treated to amazing food. You should come treat yourselves, too!“
“Wow that mapo tofu with beef was so delicious!! It’s a take out spot, not sure it was once a restaurant as it looked nice inside even with it being blocked. It was very filling, it was a deep bowl filled with mapo tofu beef and some greens and sauce. With white rice. It can easily be missed, the sign they have is not really good. If you know, and if I lived very close, it would be hard not to want to come at least once a week. Amazing value in a very built up part of town. The lady who took my order and gave me my food and utensils was very pleasant.“
“Wow is all I need to say. The food is delicious and they give you a generous portion. My mom loves the string bean chicken and Wendy was able to accommodate her with less sodium. I love lo mein without veggies and that was possible too. Price for two lunch specials is like $20-$21!! The service is amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. I commute 30 minutes here and it's definitely worth it! God bless your establishment, Taste of China!“
“Menu and kiosk not same price, bathroom very clean and table booths very clean, Duck soup broth tasty but the fried tofu is awful not like pic on menu, and the clear noodles impossible to slurp and chew. Soup buns standard dipping sauce generic, pigs ear was tasty and coconut drink is in a can nothing fancy.Order and pay tipping optional“
“We had a WONDERFUL time at Mala Project this week. Our server, Kyle, was extremely helpful in recommending ‘must haves’ for our appetizers, dry pot and, of course, drinks. We planned for only a quick bite to eat, but the atmosphere was so welcoming, we ordered more drinks and hung out for a while. Highly recommend this restaurant!“
“Best Chinese food I've had in a long while. Thank you for the amazing service, food, and drinks!! Everything was cooked just right and very delicious. The bar was a great place to be, very friendly and great bartender. The tea was so good too.Parking: It wasn't hard to find parking nearby.“
“Everything we ordered was Amazing from the broccoli and bok choy to the pork soup dumplings and all the other dumplings we ordered. the shumai was the best we've ever had!!! we will for sure be coming back to Brooklyn for more soup dumplings!!!“
“at this point i’ve been to every xian in the city and they’re all consistently the best dishes at the most banging price points with a staff that hustles harder than any other food that’s this delicious but just so happens to be fast. dumplings five star. noodles next level perfect. and the lamb burger was better than i “
“My comfort food spot since high school. Highly recommending dumplings and sesame pancakes. I recently tried their scallion pancake for the first time and it was super soggy for some reasons (maybe leftovers from the previous night but idk).“
“everything was excellent! I had a tremendous lunch with my wife for $11.99 per person. When you enter you go to the buffet and take a plastic snack (there you will see them on the buffet), you can take as much as you want until the food is full and "it can close well.", then you pay and that's it! only $11.99 per (person/meal).I HOW did you hear! and I was fine! ??I fully recommend this place! It is fine and economical and you eat very tasty!“
“Overall rating: 4.5I didn’t realize this was a chain when I visited. Clean area and nice service. Not a place to sit down, but rather to go. I had the Szechuan braised beef and it is SPICY. I wasn’t prepared how spicy. On the first day, the broth just tasted like hot water. It was missing the flavor or fullness of broth. But on the second day, I added some soy and a few other Asian spices & it got so much better. Surprisingly day 2 was better than day 1. I could come back to try another, less spicy dish, if I’m in the area.Definitely more a lunch to-go spot, than anything else. Recommend giving it a try.“
“I'm not Chinese but I often see families here and I imagine this is what my friends always felt or talked about as a nostalgic time with their family eating a big pot of frogReally good tasting even tho I've only gotten the spicy frogStaff is very attentive and restaurant is just clean and nice to just sit chat and eatFeels nice and cozy to just be with friends for an hour eating a lot“
“Love this place. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area! Dumplings are on point and there's a great variety. Hand made and quite reasonable. already fresh good - a little higher in price in terms of Chinese food but you get what you pay for in quality and taste. The people are friendly and its a nice atmosphere.“
“Absolutely delicious hidden gem. Vibrant and fragrant dishes from the Xi’ang region. Lots of cumin and peppers ! I heard they were most celebrated for their cumin lamb pulled noodles which were absolutely delicious. I got “regular” spice and it was pretty spicy , but enjoyable ! There is an option to tone down the spice if you prefer but I recommend eating them how the house classically prepares them!I also got the cucumbers which were crunchy spicy and addicting.I will absolutely be returning , my food was ready quickly“
“One of my favorite hotpot places in NYC! One of my criteria for judging a hotpot place is their fish fillet. Some other places have fish fillet that’s super fishy, but this place has super tender and fresh fish. The prices and service were great!“
“On the way to another cheong fun shop, we were driving by this cart and saw the long line of Chinese aunties waiting, so we had to stop by here instead (it's practically authenticity-certified, how could you say no?). While the long was long, it goes by pretty fast considering they make each dish as it is ordered. The ladies running to shop don't speak much English, but they're pretty patient and nice. The shop (from what I remember) only takes cash, so remember to take note before stopping by. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp and beef rolls and they were so delicious. We were also offered spicy sauce and soy sauce which really enhanced the flavor. Prices here were also unbelievable for the quality and portion you're getting (a small can easily fill me up). Highly recommend supporting this small business.“
“Oh Dumplings is a casual, fast, counter service Chinese restaurant specializing in tasty morsels of dough wrapped goodness. The menu has multiple varieties of dumplings, congee, and bubble tea. There are a handful of counter stools to eat quickly and go. Perfect for a cheap, quick, and high quality meal or snack.“
“Guys u need to get the mango puddingMy biggest regret in life is not eating more of the mango pudding I should’ve eaten enough to make me so full I projectile vomit everywhere it’s the best thing I’ve ever had in my life I need it so bad I still dream about it to this day pls add it to ur Menu pls. “Called my order in for pick up. When I arrived, it was ready to go. They are always busy. I would suggest you call and order ahead of time. They give you a nice portion, and food always seasoned well . Oneofmyfavoritelocal spots.Parking: Located on the corner of two busy streets, but you may luck up and find parking.“
“This food is absolutely delicious and a great value! I always do delivery/takeout, and the food never misses. Everyone there is super friendly, they’re very quick, and the prices are great. Their $11 combo (entree, fried rice & eggroll) is amazing and usually lasts me two meals. They also have some of the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had. 10/10 for sure!“
“The food was very good and there is plenty to choose from. Very nice place. I'm glad they are back!! Nice people!!!Parking: You have the lot and rooftop parking.Kid-friendliness: Ice cream chicken and much more.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and entrance.“
“I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Grill on Lee, a kosher restaurant in Brooklyn, and my experience was nothing short of fantastic!**Pulled Beef Salad Perfection:**I opted for the pulled beef salad, and it exceeded all expectations. A definite must-try for those looking for a tasty and satisfying dish.**Swift and Seamless Delivery:**What truly stood out was the lightning-fast delivery. “Been coming here for YEARS. Never disappoints. Consistently amazing food!! Literally everything on this menu hits the spot. One of my absolute favorite places. So happy that as a vegetarian I can anything here !!Vegetarian options: One of the best places to get vegetarian Asian food!!! Enjoyed by vegetarians, vegans, and non vegetarians alike.“
“This is another hole in wall place that we found and thought was a gem. Everything was so good. Basically a hot bowl of noodles soup. They bring everything out in their own little bowl and then you put them all in the boiling soup. You can also ask them to cook everything before bringing it out. We ordered their frice rice which we very nice too. Rice was very fresh and has a nice aroma. The place is small but clean. Better get there early or plan to wait. You go up to order and they will bring to you but tip is not required.“
“10 mins for 2 orders of noodles and 1 duck dumplings. The duck dumpling dough is purple and extremely soft and squishy. Like mochi but without the extreme stickiness and without choking to death. The beef braized soup has flat chunks of beef similar to oxtail. I assume it's a meat that's normally tough but is cooked to be softer.Food is light and savory. 10/10 I reccomend this spot for anyone making a big journey to this complex.“
“This place is so good! Such a solid neighborhood staple. As a meat eater, I was pleasantly surprised at how good all the plant-based dishes are (trying to cut back on how much meat I eat). The portions are generous too, and it's a nice change from some of the greasier Chinese food I eat. The lady who works at the front counter is super sweet - always nice chatting with her. The food always comes out hot and fast! Smoothies are great too.“
“"No Pork," a Chinese restaurant, offers incredibly fresh dishes that truly stand out. Their Szechuan chicken is a must-try, perfectly seasoned with a delightful kick, paired excellently with flavorful rice. A top pick for those craving authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine.“
“You wouldn't know it from just walking by but by the time the first pork bun touches your lips you won't forget it. E noodle ! Yum yum yum the pork is done so well and the curry , wow amazing . One of my new favorite local spots . The soup dumplings are awesome , scallion pancakes delicious, can't say enough. With good prices .“
“Visited from Las Vegas and decided to visit this place recommended by a local and I am so glad we decided to go. This place is a whole vibe. They had a live DJ who knew what he was doing and made sure he had us jamming along with his tunes. He was great! Our bartended Tony was, to say the least outstanding! He immediately greeted us when we walked in the door and was engaging in conversation with us the entire night. He was friendly, in a great mood, and smiling the entire time! I would personally just visit this this place JUST for Tony.Mr. Less, the gem with no name on the building, no menu, ton of board games, good vibes, great music, and great customer service. If you’re looking with a homey spot with a vibe, I definitely recommend this place. I can feel how much pride Tony takes into caring for this joint and making sure all his customer are happy. Thank you Tony!!“
“Four stars on the basis of fairly decent food. They would do well to replace the benches with more comfortable chairs and hire a trained wait person. Maybe they were short staffed, it did snow in the AM…but I was jumping out of my skin watching the two of them running back-and-forth and whipping through the swinging kitchen door trying to handle a few takeout phone orders plus the two tables that were there!“
“This is a wonderful place to stop by for coffee, tea, dumplings and more. Fantastic service. I had vegetable dumplings that were delicious. There are both meat and vegetable offerings on the menu. I was shopping at CVS and running a few errands. Stopped there to warm up with some tea and dumplings. Very convenient location. The staff is warm and friendly!“
“I work nearby so my coworkers and I order from here often, about once a week or so. We prefer this takeout restaurant over the other ones in the area. I usually order by phone and so far, never got an incorrect order. That's always a plus! I believe that the one who answers the phone is also the main cook. Since it's often a one man show, please remember to be patient and kind. My usual go to is the Sesame Chicken Lunch Special with a side of Coke! The flavor is always consistent and delicious. My workplace ordered a tray of Fried Chicken and Lo Mein a few times over the past few years and it was just what staff needed. I did see that they also sell fresh fruits in a container (pineapple and watermelon) for about $2. The price is very cheap compared to the other Chinese takeout places that I've visited. I will continue ordering from here as long as I work nearby!“
“I've left a review on this establishment before but decided to leave another because I got photos of the delicious meals. The prices are extremely fair for such delicious and fresh food. The place is so clean and comforting to eat at. The owners are very attentive and make sure you have everything you need. I moved and still only get Chinese food from them because no place compares in my opinion. I get from them every weekend :) they also have the best hot sauce!“
“My lady and I stopped here for an early dinner a week ago. I ordered the chicken and noodles while my girlfriend ordered chicken and rice. Our meals were served piping hot; just how we like it. Our meals were flavorful and we left filled and very satisfied. We took a chance by going here and we highly recommend.“
“The best chinese food in the neighborhood. Pickup only, no delivery. There is no point in calling in an order because they dont start cooking it until you get there to pick it up. I always have to wait, and place my order again as though I never ordered it in the first place.“
“It's been a long time since I've eaten here. The change is extraordinary. I loved it before. It's even better now. The tomato pot is a little burnt because it wasn't stirred well. They helped us take it and change it. The waiter was more polite than us while we were waiting. It’s really heart-warming to worry about us being hungry. There are also many kinds of seafood. I’m bored at home and have nothing to do. Shake up the foam in the hot pot and the little brother will come to grab the work right away. Overall, it was great before and even better now!“
