“We got the pork and shrimp spring rolls, chicken dumplings and the chicken tacos. All items were really tasty. Very quick service. And reasonable prices. Would recommend coming here again if you’re shopping in SoHo and want to eat a nice meal after all the walking. It was easy to get a table on a Friday night too! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was not bad. Want to come here again and try the banh mi sandwiches next!“
“I’m originally from a city where you can find great bánh mì shops in almost any part of town. After years of searching for even one single legitimately great and affordable bánh mì spot here in NYC, I was beginning to lose hope. I am no longer hopeless thanks to Ba Xuyên.This place makes an excellent bánh mì. The bread is crispy and chewy and the ratio of picked veg to meat was just right. I did wish my sandwich was spicier but I think maybe she just missed it when I said spicy. There is also a small selection of packaged desserts and provisions which looked good.Very quick and polite service imo.“
“Bricolage has been our family and friend go-to for special occasions. It is a magical place that is much more than a restaurant. The food and flavors are amazing. The owners and staff clearly deeply care about what they do. They are flexible, accommodating, not rushed and happy to help you pick out a terrific dining experience. The design of the interior and the simply incredible back garden immediately transport you to another place! It's a gem.“
“This is my families favorite bah mi place in Brooklyn (and we have tried a bunch)! We get the chicken bah mi. All the ingredients are fresh and perfectly seasoned, each bite is so flavorful! The bread is the right balance of crunchy and soft too, which is something I am very picky about. lmpressively, I believe they make their own pate and mayo - which is so delicious!!I also LOVE their andes mint hot chocolate!!Couldn't recommend the place enough - are excited to try more things on the menu!“
“Honestly the best boba in bay ridge with the best service. We got their signature taro root and the strawberry milk. Both was delicious.Their customer service is also top notch, replacing a drink after dropping it and exploding in the store. Their immediate response and reply was great.Atmosphere is also super fun with board games and other things to do. The space is large enough to not feel cramped and Their decor is super inviting and attractive !“
“Whoever said this place is a hidden gem was right. I went early to avoid the happy hour rush. That said you get a discount from 4-7pm so if you’re not picky on seating that’s when I recommend paying a visit. Attached is the photos of what I ordered.“
“The EM is a great little Vietnamese restaurant. You can eat very well here and the service is quick and very friendly. The EM has a small map where there is something for everyone. The special drinks/cocktails are very refreshing and also very tasty. The furnishings are very simple but still somehow cozy. Can recommend the EM“
“This food was so delicious that 6 months later I am still thinking about it once a week. The fusion was great and I am so pleased it was shown to me by a friend. The restaurant is rather small but does not feel claustrophobic. The service was fantastic, we had a very pleasant waiter. I would suggest making a reservation in advance since seating is limited.“
“Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the tofu bahn mi. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful. Solid bahn mi. I added some sriracha to give it some extra spice! There was one gender neutral restroom. The staff didn't rush me out after finishing and kindly pointed out that they have free wifi.“
“Their bao buns are superb bro specifically the pork one. The pork is just so tender and the bread so soft. They have a really nicely lit place so there’s a bit of led light vibes going on. Their bathroom is the CUTESTTTT I attached a video. I haven’t been on their patio but that’s probably cool too. I will be going back several times and already have lol.“
“Followed this place for a long time on Instagram and always looking for more local Vietnamese food businesses in NYC. Ban Be is a place that has a unique spin Vietnamese desserts for the general diners. The most difficult part of checking out this place is they're only open on the weekends from 1pm to 5pm, and their items sell out quickly if you're late to the punch. Like myself who showed up on Sunday at 4pm. Whilst I lost a chance at the big tinned box of desserts, I did get a chance at the small tin boxes. Inside contains the cookie variety flavors: Coconut Pandan, Black Sesame Ube, Tamarind Cacao Nib, and Ca Phe (Coffee) Crunch. My personal favorite was the Ca Phe Crunch as I couldn't stop eating it. All the cookies itself was delicate, buttery and crisp just like a professional desserts brand does. Outstandingly delicious. Even the stand itself was cute as it's one of those establishments you order through the shop window. A quaint dessert shop and the staff is super nice. But my takeaway is this which gets one star deduction from me. It's the limited hours and limited days this business is open that gets to me, and it is not an easy accessible location for anyone to get to unless you're a local in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood. The cookies were delicious but the amount of cookies purchased (16 - 20) for $28 in their smallest tin was pricy for me. It was a good one time experience and there are distinctions between the levels of Vietnamese food items that's under standard level and top tier. Based on observations and experience, these items were categorized within the top tier. But do try to come early to get access to more items if you plan a visit here.“
“I ordered take out for dinner we had their Pho Bo and house pork chops. I highly recommend the pork chops they were so filling and flavorful. They come with your choice of rice and a salad (w/ dressing on it). The Pho Bo on the other hand wasn’t as tasty, I felt as if the broth needs more depth and it didn’t come with the expected veggies just condiments which didn’t really add much to the broth. I would come back for the pork chops though!!“
“I picked up an order and accidentally left ny wallet there. They called and I asked to pick it up the next day. They were very nice and helpful about all of it! The food was also delicious, we over ordered because we were so excited to try everything and everything was delicious.“
“I know I can always count on Lucy's Vietnamese for delicious, fresh takeout. There's plenty of vegetarian options, everything is delicious. My favorite dish is the Bahn mi with the brisket, it's just the perfect sandwich. The Pho is incredible, too! And don't forget the Vietnamese coffee, it's the bomb ?“
“Banh Mi Place is fast, affordable, and (most importantly) ridiculously delicious. The sandwiches are my go-to for a quick lunch, the summer rolls and a bubble tea for an easy afternoon snack, and the pho is an absolute must for whenever I have a cold.“
“This was my first time ever having Vietnamese food, and they did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken pho, pork banh mi, and their coconut cream iced coffee. All sensational but I recommend the pork banh mi the most. You can really see how traditional they are with the atmosphere too, with various statues to traditional Vietnamese deities. The service was also very efficient and friendly, so tip them well! Overall, a place I hope to come back to very soon :)“
“Cute and cozy spot with pleasant service. Unfortunately the food isn’t the best. I got the sliced beef pho which tasted just fine but not great. There wasn’t much depth to its flavor, which had to be compensated for a hefty amount of hoisin and sriracha sauce. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the spot. Otherwise it’s great for a quick bite.“
“Oh. my goodness. I had the vermicelli with pork spring rolls and it was very different and extremely delicious. Their unique pickled veggie mix was yummy. I brought the vermicelli home, hotted up the rolls (in a pan) and found the food AAAAAbsolutely delicious. I’m excited to try it again, and think I will probably just keep reordering the same thing over and over. Yum. Definitely a to-go style place, though they have a bit of room for eating.“
“If you're in New York and craving Vietnamese food, head to Mekong. Their pho with beef is flavorful, the spicy chicken wings are a must-try, and the spring rolls are crispy perfection. Trust me, you'll be delighted you went – the food is absolutely delicious! ?“
“Update: I came in the next day and the manager said he processed a refund and he gave me lunch on the house. Apparently a technical glitch allowed me to order when they are closed. I appreciate them making it right. I enjoyed the food, especially the tofu and vegetables with brown rice which was served promptly and piping hot. I wasn’t as impressed by the fries but many reviewers seem to enjoy them so maybe it’s a matter of taste.Original: Ordered for pickup. Walked over with wife and kids and the restaurant is closed and there’s a church service going on inside. No one answers the phone and there’s no instant refund like Seamless. Hopefully I get my money back tomorrow.Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetables was delicious“
“Today is the day I revisited restaurants from my Elite Events that took place in Williamsburg last year or.more. I had a craving for a Bahn Mi sandwich which I haven't had since you guessed it... last year at Lucy's Bed Stuy, Brooklyn location. That was a great event! I was pleased to spend a warm spring like day in Williamsburg especially eateries that are close to Domino Park like Lucy's. I entered and could smell the freshly toasted bread. I placed my order and remembered my 10% Yelp check in discount, perks my friend, perks! I found a seat near the window that had cushions and a nice view to people watch. My Bahn Mi was served to me table side, love that! I unwrapped my sandwich and took a good look at my delicious Bahn Mi that was about to be devoured: the chicken with the lemongrass flavor, oodles of cilantro, cucumbers.. is my sandwich seeping into your consciousness yet?...carrots on that heavenly toasted bread. Yowza indeed! I was a bit more daring today and squeezed the hot chili sauce and it gave it a spicy kick. The black iced tea served as my fire extinguisher. All in all a delicious cheat! This location is much smaller than Bed Stuy but it still packs a great punch: nice service, chill vibe ( love the picnic tables and cushions) and more importantly the food is delicious. Consistency keeps me loyal.. thus if a restaurant can still wow me with their food and service, then I'm your customer for a long time. If you read my previous review of Lucy's Vietnamese Elite Event it started like this: I love Lucy and she loves me, I'm so happy with my Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi. I still love Lucy and if you haven't tried the establishment all I can say is you need a good dose of Vitavitavegamin( (for all you I Love Lucy fans!)“
“At work on a Sunday so my coworker and i tried the veggie pork and the tofu. It's cut in half so we shared. I enjoyed both, my coworker didn't like the tofu as much, because it was too spicy. Unfortunately for her, that's what I ordered lol. They both were delicious. I will definitely go back.“
“We have dined at the restaurant before in the summer - warning, no ac! More recently, we’ve ordered delivery and experience was good. The food was very flavourful and nicely labelled. The prices do seem to be on the higher end compared to other Vietnamese restaurants on delivery apps.“
“Headline news that many only be useful for a denizen of central Crown Heights: you no longer need to walk all the way to Bahnmigos for serviceable Vietnamese sandwiches. My veggie pork bahn mi was a satisfying combo of flavorful, chewy fake meat, fresh julienned vegetables and a good mayo, served on a crispy, if unexceptional, baguette. Extra points for having an array of vegetarian options, including tofu, fake chicken, and fake fish. Service was fast and friendly, though the ambiance is clean and fluorescent to the point of being a little sterile and uninviting. I suspect the owners intend to focus on doing a brisk takeout business, so I'll probably keep walking to Franklin Ave on lazy summer afternoons if I want my bahn mi as a dine in proposition. I wouldn't say this place isn't worth a trip out of the way, but I don't think that's what they're trying to be. For a solid sandwich in a hurry at a reasonable price (under $9), I'm glad Bahn Mi Cafe has come to town.“
“Hooray for hitting all the right flavor notes in a bahn mi! Boo for being so dang far when a gal needs a hit of the real deal Viet sandwich. The place was small and no frills but all you can think of was the little engine that could, and this was the little store that did. Hop on a train or call a cab, you won't be disappointed!“
“I’ve had eggrolls, fried calamari and the special spicy pho (which is like a hybrid between bun bo hue and pho). Really delicious! But the standout was the Saigon Pho—a beef extravaganza with a rich, flavorful broth. Probably one of the best I’ve had in Brooklyn. So happy this spot is my new go-to for pho!“
“Hanco's is a South Slope institution, an enduringly popular spot for local teenage crews to hang and feed their bubble tea addictions, an authentic Vietnamese joint with wholesome banh mi sandwiches and uplifting, fortifing pho soups. Consistently good fare and youthful vibe.“
“This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in NYC and Brooklyn! Moving from Seattle and couldn't find a place that sells Hu Tieu, I looked on DoorDash stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant! I ordered twice and phenomenal! The food was excellent quality, authentic, packaged nicely, and at a good price. Kudos to this restaurant and good job!“
“I ordered online and received the food in person. The lady with short hair when I walked in was fantastic very kind and . friendly. As I arrived early, I waited for a few minutes and I must say that I will visit here several times. The food was great. 5 “
“Super friendly staff. Food was GREAT and they fill it up as much as they can. I ordered rice ? broccoli ? and chicken ? and a honey dew milkshake. It was great ?? total was 17 bucks. Only bad thing is they don't have too much space for inside eating“
“Little mo is a vietnamese fusion hidden gem serving authentic viet flavors with a modern twist in brooklyn! they serve a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options including pho, rice, salads, appetizers, banh mi sandwiches, and drinks.we ordered:*summer roll $10.95*mo’s special pho $19.95*crispy cajun fish banh mi $15.95*shrimp banh mi $15.95*eggplant mushroom bowl $16.95 *vegan*thai iced tea w/ oat milk *6.50*rose lemonade $5.5we loveddd the food here. the fish and shrimp banh mis were soo yumm and filling, actually the best banh mi i’ve had in nyc and love the fusion twist with a side of fries cus who doesn’t love fries. my friend lovedd the mo’s special beef pho, rated it 9/10 one of the best in the city. the summer roll dipped in the peanut sauce was also so good. not a big fan of the marinated eggplant mushroom rice, i did not like the sauce and would choose tofu next time as my vegetarian option. drinks were great too, loved how thai tea was sweet!I highly recommend this spot to satisfy your viet food cravings! service was great and it's a chill casual spot for lunch/ dinner!“
“Very solid Thaï place. Just moved in the neighborhood and now go there often. I've always taken one of their soupy dishes (incl. Pho) and they were always delish. I must say when they say spicy, they really mean it. Price wise it's also great. Would definitely recommend.“
“My fav place for their bbq pork banh mi. Priced at $9(now, use to be $8). Very delicious.Service is bad but dont argue w mans he’ll get you right, most of the time(except he’ll sometimes forget you ordered jalapeños in your sandwich, or that your order is ready lol)“
“Delicious rib eye pho! Big bowl with very tender beef, the broth was very tasty too. The servers were so kind to me, and the restaurant atmosphere is great for friends, family or just for yourself seating in the bar and talking to the bartenders while eating. Overall I had a good experience! The prices are reasonable. I will def be back ? ?“
“Former New Yorker, current Detroiter here. I was staying around the corner for an extended work trip and this was the first place I wandered into for dinner. The staff here are so friendly and kind - they treated me as if I was a regular from day one! I loved it so much I came back several times. It’s not just the atmosphere; the food is delicious! You can’t go wrong with the pho but the vegetable curry noodles are bomb! This place offers the best combination of neighborhood bar and comfort food in a welcoming environment.“
“I’ve only had takeout banh mi, but this place is so warm and cozy inside it looks like it would be great for a lunch or dinner date. Food is yummy, people are nice, prices are reasonable, and it seems authentically Vietnamese as far as I can tell.“
“Came here with friends and enjoyed our time. It was decently empty because it was a Monday night and the service wad relagively fast. Lighting is nice, but at one point our eyes started burning, probably from something that was being cooked? It didn't take away from the meal though, which I throroughly enjoyed. I had the Money pho and we also ordered the thai basil popcorn chicken and popcorn shrimp. The drink options were quite limited, the drinks we ordered were full of ice.“
“Go to Asian Cuisine in Bay Ridge. Fast delivery. Food always hot, always fresh. I have ordered by app and phone. All employees are helpfully and cheerful. Love the wonton soup, spring rolls, General Tsao's chicken and anything with seafood.Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options with broccoli, carrots, etc“
“The Bahn Mi Epiphany at Hanco'sToday at Hanco's, I had what can only be described as a culinary epiphany. As a long-time patron, I've frequently indulged in their pho and chicken rolls, but never ventured into the realm of their bahn mi. What a revelation it was!The pork bahn mi was nothing short of perfection. The bread struck an ideal balance - crunchy on the outside, yet soft enough on the inside to prevent any dreaded mouth-roof injuries. Inside, the harmony of pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and the star of the show – juicy, flavor-packed pork – created a symphony of tastes and textures. Each bite was a delightful journey through the best of Vietnamese flavors.I reluctantly agreed to share this masterpiece with my husband, a decision I regretted with every delicious bite. The blend of flavors and the impeccable quality of ingredients made parting with even half of the sandwich a near heartbreak.Hanco's has always been a favorite, but today, they've secured a permanent spot in my culinary heart. This bahn mi isn't just a dish; it's a must-have, a non-negotiable addition to my regular food rotation. If you haven't tried it yet, prepare yourself for a sandwich that might just change your life.“
“It’s been a long time since I last visit them due to distance. Came here for a quick bite for 2. Ordered their #1 beef noodle soup and a grilled beef entree.I have to say, Dang! That’s the biggest combination beef noodle soup I ever had for $12.95!!!! The broth was a bit on the salty side but over all, it’s good, the beef quality was good. The grilled beef was tender and a very nice amount, if they would have more charred flavor and a bit more seasoning, I’ve give 5 stars for overall experience for food vs. price. Haven’t had a dine out experience for a long period of time where we do not feel ripped off and should’ve just stay home to cooked. And this spot’s atmosphere is def a winner compare to other two pho spots on Ave U.Would def return, soon.“
“This is a very nice spot on 8 ave for pho! There is a lot of space between the tables so you don't feel crowded. The servers were nice, welcoming, and efficient. The food was good. I got the pho dac biet and I wish there was a bit more meat. The meat didn't seem super fresh when I came in this time. Their summer rolls are on the smaller side and the fillings are more simple but still good. The spring rolls were crispy and tasty. Overall look forward to coming back!“
“After a long walk on 8th ave (the mid-autumn parade) on a rainy day, we decided to get some pho. It's been a very long time since we came to Gia Lam (was one of our favorite restaurant back in the day). We ordered some pho and a large order of spring rolls. Perfectly hot and crisp spring rolls, drizzled with Sriracha + Hoisin sauce and wrapped in romain lettuce and then dunked in fish sauce dipping sauce- just yum. Our pho was fine- just the same, but it hit the spot on this cold rainy day.“
“I appreciate the serving size here, as I was looking to get my protein fix after an intensive workout session.I have had my fair share of Vietnamese food, but never had the scallions hit the way it did on top of the rice here. It added a pop of flavor that was pleasantly unexpected. Pickled veggies were done right, chicken seasoned well, and the lettuce was quite refreshing. And the hot Thai iced tea got me feeling some type of way…“
“Surprisingly the sandwich ? Are delicious and for a restaurant and it is good priced.I also try the Bourch soup... remind me of the Russian soup, but sweet and No meat. The chicken wings Proce good but not the best I ever Had.Overall good place to try for a local restaurant“
“I must say that this brisket pho truly exceeded all expectations. like mine precision in combat, every aspect of this dish was executed flawlessly. The tender brisket slices, perfectly cooked noodles, and aromatic broth combined to create a symphony of flavors that even Baba Yaga himself would appreciate. Each spoonful felt like a calculated strike, leaving me both satisfied and yearning for more.“
“Reasonably priced, solid quality and very veggie friendly! I've been here a couple times since my friend lives nearby. I appreciate that I can customize the sweetness of my boba and I've enjoyed the food I've tried. It's not a given that a Vietnamese place would have mock duck, and I appreciated that extra variety as a vegetarian and I thought it was very tasty. This is a good spot for tasty, pretty quick takeout when you're in the area!“
“Been here twice. Got there and was seated right away. Food came out quite quickly. Spring rolls were good, just that the dipping sauce was not generous enough. Ordered the cold noodles and had to ask for more sauces, total of 2cups of sauces for each cold noodles. The beef cubes were good and tender. Very efficient staff in cleaning up our table.“
“I love everything about this place. The food is a bomb and the staff are all great.I personally think all the pho in NYC is so mid. For NY standards, the pho is pretty good. But what Di An Di does really well is the rest of the menu. So good. Please just turn the music down!!! It’s so loud.“
