Visiting the birthplace of buffalo wings has been on my foodie bucket list, so I’m really glad I was able to visit Anchor Bar’s original location! We ordered the original flavor, medium buffalo, and it was definitely tasty! Being from Connecticut, I’ve noticed when I’ve had wings in the Buffalo area, they’re not as saucy as I’m used to. That would be my main critique, but otherwise these wings were great! The sampler platter was good, but definitely nothing crazy presentation-wise....read full review
Restaurant was highly recommended. It took a moment to be greeted and seated. Our server was very nice and attentive. It took longer than expected to get drinks from the bar to our table but the bar was crowded. The wings were good but nothing that would make them stand out from other wing restaurants. I do recommend getting the Anchor Bar dip if you love cheese with a bite. Nice bar food joint.Parking: Get ready to pay for parking!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

We stopped here for dinner on our road trip back from Niagara Falls and it was absolutely amazing! Of course they had the best wings I’ve ever had but everything else was amazing too! The garlic bread, coconut shrimp, and pizza rolls were great. The fries are the only thing that I think could have been improved but this place is well worth the stop!
