Wonderful place on Hertel. It shares a space with some other kinds of products, but Blackbird is the star. I appreciate the quality of the products. The cupcakes are quite good and have a great ratio of cake to icing (some places overdo the icing). The buckeye cupcakes are great and I crave them once in awhile. My wife and I first discovered Blackbird while trying out bakeries for our wedding desserts and have been hooked ever since. We got an assortment of mini cupcakes, brownies, brookies, and sugar cookie bars for our wedding and everything was a hit amongst our guests. We have been loyal patrons ever since and have yet to have a dessert from Blackbird that was not top tier.

I need you to stop what you're doing and go to blackbird. Everything I've had from there is delicious!! The funfetti cookies, soft, chewy and flavorful. The chocolate cookies in the "build your own cookie sandwich", delicious and such a cute idea. All of their cupcake the vanilla, the blackbird, the peanut butter, the red velvet are some of the best cupcakes I've ever had in my life and I eat A LOT of cupcakes. Easily top 5 best bakeries in WNY.
