“Mala Fish Slices Rice Noodles: Very generous portions with the perfect amount of spiciness, lots of vegetables & noodles and the soft fish fillets paired perfectly with the broth. The Taiwanese fried chicken was also a 10/10! They somehow fried the chicken flawlessly with the appropriate amount of crunchiness and seasoning. It tasted good alone and with the sauce (I think it was sweet chili?) provided as well. I wish I had a photo of it, but I stomach got to it before my camera.“
“Just tried this place earlier this week and came back again today. The food was spot on. I normally don't eat leftover Chinese food because it doesn't taste good to me once its cold, but for some reason this even tasted good cold. Very happy that I decided to try this place, I wasn't disappointed.Parking: Didn't count but my guess would be at least 15-20 parking spots.“
“This place has the best customer service and the best food. Everything I’ve tried always hit. Never miss. They are different than most Chinese places you will visit. I love the quotes they put on your order they make my day everytime. I grew up in nyc and they’re food reminds me of back home. Delicious!“
“Juliana(hope I'm spelling it right) was absolutely wonderful! Excellent service, very friendly, great prices, and super clean! Juliana helped me figure out what I wanted to eat as I was out for a stroll just getting fresh air and wasn't really planning on getting anything from anywhere and everything sounded so good! Ended up getting the boyfriend his usual (general tso's chicken) and I got the hunan chicken. Got home, tried it, loved it and it's officially one of my favorite places now! Tonight was our first time trying it and I can't say enough good things about it! Hands down THE BEST general tso's chicken I have ever had in my entire life and the hunan chicken was also amazing. I was nervous because it's always a hit or miss when you try new places and they definitely earned three new lifelong customers! The chicken was cooked perfectly, the texture was amazing and the sauce was so fresh and flavorful and everything was fresh! Normally I hate babycorn but even that was delicious and didn't have that weird dirt after taste you normally expect. And I finally found the veggie egg rolls that remind me of the place I used to go as a kid! I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu!“
“I am a very very picky eater for American Chinese and I will say that this place is the best buffet you will get in the capital region. I have tried all the Chinese food and buffets in Albany Troy etc and they ALL SUCK. But this one I give it a 4 for several reason. 1.) the food is a good balance of sweet and savory and if you have a heightened taste like me you will taste a LOT of sugar. If your a calorie counter I hope it’s you’re cheat day. The only inedible too sugary food was the general Tsos. I’ll repeat it again IT HAS A LOT OF SUGAR. The food for cost is worth it and if you want good bang for your buck for this type of Chinese food I highly recommend this place cause if you eat here you won’t regret spending money or even eating the food but you will potentially take a long nap/be hyper from all the sugar in the food. Honestly the only thing I would change is the amount of sugar in the food.Edit: This has become a 4 to a 5. Definitely less sugar.“
“From my 9 year old: This is the best place in the city, EVER. I love it so much, the food is so good and the people are so nice. It has a perfect name complimented by the water feature in the lobby. I would rate it one thousand million stars if I could. The staff is genuine and warm, just the best. I wish there were more places like this.“
“Shu Chinese Restaurant 蜀香居 is a culinary gem that brings the authentic flavors of Sichuan cuisine to life. From the moment you step in, the ambiance reflects a perfect blend of elegance and warmth. The menu showcases a delightful array of Sichuan specialties, each dish bursting with bold and aromatic spices. The attentive staff ensures a seamless dining experience, making Shu Chinese Restaurant a must-visit for those craving genuine and mouthwatering Sichuan flavors.“
“Ordered takeout on a Monday night (kudos for being open on Mondays! its so hard to find Monday restaurants!) - the portion sizes were fair for the price. My son enjoyed the yaki udon and I had the maki combo 2. I also have several food allergies and there was no issue accommodating allergen requests. We look forward to ordering again!“
“Absolutely delicious!! Our delivery was a little late but, soooo worth the wait!! ? The Pineapple rice with shrimp paired perfectly with the spicy sauteed string beans... And the scallion pancakes so crispy !! Always love the dumpling, the dough is never too chewy I'll be back !!“
“This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Albany. Each dish that I’ve tried has been delicious. We go here regularly when our family is in town because they always request to eat here. Their offerings are authentic flavored to perfection!“
“This place was a gem of a find! The dim sum (appetizers) special is worth the price! All you can eat n they have drinks n bubble teas! Great for families or a group of friends! Talking to the staff. If you call a few days ahead. You can special order any Chinese dishes that is not on there already OG Chinese dishes. We are already planning to meet up with friends after the holidays!Enjoy!“
“Beautiful restaurant with great food amazing atmosphere and great service . Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, the manager was really nice too . we highly recommend P.F. Chang’s. Great place for family and friends or if you just wanna take a quick bite.“
“I’m a truck driver passing through Albany NY. Stopped at this place and ordered Lo Mein with Chicken and Beef. The food turned out amazing. The best lo mein I have ever had. On top of that, their service was really great. Nice people. Definitely recommend this “
“This has been my go-to Chinese takeout place for a very long time, and they have never once let me down. They have never gotten an order wrong or cooked something poorly. The food is always perfect and tasty, and the person behind the counter is super nice.“
“If anybody suggests you a Chinese Restaurant in Rotterdam and doesn't say YummyYummy, then they are not from Rotterdam ?.The best places don't deliver, so you have to get up and get out to get some. This local family has been serving great food for over 20 years as a compliment to the great pride they have to serve it. All the food is fast, fresh and yup... YummyYummy! Try the Mongolian beef ? sticks, my fav. ?“
“I usually order from Chinese sit down restaurants because I've had bad experiences with some Chinese take out spots. But this place is the expectation!I was blown away by the general saus chicken, crab rangoons, and boneless spare ribs. Everything was super fresh and quality. The ideal Chinese take out spot. The classic style, at a good price, with more quality then other places. I don't even mind driving out of town for it.Kid-friendliness: YesParking: Plaza parking on the side“
“The sushi I had was delicious. The sweet n sour chicken was the best we'd ever eaten. However, my kani salad was sad. There was barely any crab at all. It was a bowl full of luttuce with barely any crab that was mixed with crunch. Kani salad should be very little lettuce with plenty of crab and crunch. I would've given 5 starts if kani salad was worth the price. Everything else was fabulous. We will definitely be going back.“
“I was visiting relatives and they ordered takeout from here. Holy moly it was delicious! General Tso's chicken was perfect and plentiful with a kick. The shrimp rolls were crispy and fresh. There was a shrimp dish with veggies and sauce. It was piping hot with brown sauce. The shrimp were a nice meaty size. So good! I didn't try the fried rice or the beef dish they got but it looked really good, fresh ingredients, huge portions. I hope they deliver to me or I will have to make a trip!!“
“They don’t have a lot of things that are on their menu. Also, the say they deliver on their website but they don’t. Other than that, wonderful sweet and sour chicken and other stuff.Parking: Find the right place at the right time if you're lucky.“
“I’ve been living in Troy for a year now and have been trying to find a good Chinese spot. I have yet to find one to my liking! I was also craving a tuna roll so thought I would give this spot a whirl since they also delievered. We were NOT disappointed. The Chinese combo, the sushi, the ramen everything was amazingly good and this will definitely be my go to spot from now on!!“
“Since i moved back to NY they've been my go-to for chinese food :) this restaurant is family owned and operated. Very clean establishment, and fast! I've been going to them for 2-3 years now, and its the only place ill goto for chinese food :)“
“It's takeout Chinese, nothing fancy, but the egg rolls are always crispy and I am impressed that they seem to use fresh vegetables in their dishes. I got the cashew shrimp recently and it was loaded with fresh chopped zucchini and carrots, versus other places where it's just a handful of celery and pre-frozen diced carrots.“
“Love it, ordered sweet and sour chxn, crab Rangoons, and chxn and brocccoli, $23 and me and my S/O are more than pleased I even got the wrong rice but turns out I like pork fried rice better than white rice so thanks for that too. Great food for a great value??“
“I hardly ever feel the need to review, but i loved coming here today, i was dying for some chicken curry and boy did i get just what i needed from here, by far the best chicken curry i could have asked for. And the owner was awesome the store was extremely clean which is amazing because its been there since i was a little “
“My favorite place to order take out when I’m feeling lazy. Food is always piping hot and well seasoned. Super affordable too. Best Chinese take out in the capital district hands down!!! My only suggestion is that the crab rangoons could use a little more filling.“
“Yuki (not sure if spelled right!). She is amazing. The personal attention she gives our family when we come in, whether a week night or weekend...she always is the staff we ask for. She is amazing! She knows exactly what we want (we go weekly, sometime 2x a week!). She ALWAYS gives our family personal attention, even when we are not in her section. This weekend, she came over and hugged many in our party! She is one of the best employees there! She deserves a raise, and for this to be given to her as a Kudos from several customers! We keep going there because of her... and the great food!!!!!“
“Amazing authentic Chinese food with great efficient service with a smile. This is one of our favorite spots. Their soup dumplings and pork buns are great but also try their black sesame ice cream for dessert!Parking: Huge parking lot with easy access“
“This Chinese Northern Eastern style restaurant is generally rated 4.5 stars, and being in Albany bumps it up to 5 stars.Must-try: five-color Chinese salad (五彩大拉皮)Recommendation: fried eggplant with minced pork (肉沫茄子) and the stir-fried taro with sugar coat (翻沙芋头).Food: I've visited twice and tried the five-color Chinese salad, fried eggplant with minced pork, stir-fried taro with sugar coat, stewed baby chicken with Chinese mushrooms (小鸡炖蘑菇), and stewed pork bones with bean sauce (酱大骨). The five color salad is a delightful mix of mung bean noodles, vegetables, and a standout sauce. The "mino" (a traditional Chinese raincoat makes out of straw) eggplant dish showcases the chef's skill, with the eggplant sliced thinly and connected. The sugar-coated taro was surprisingly good, tastier than the candied version. While the stewed pork bones with bean sauce and stewed baby chicken were decent, the pork bones are not leg bones and the chicken portion in the soup was small.Note: They offer a discount for cash payments.Parking: free parking in the plaza parking lot.“
“This is a takeout place that has quick service and reasonable prices. I love that they go easy on the oil and dont skimp on the meat. I give it 5 stars because it is exactly what it is supposed to be.Vegetarian options: They offer many vegetarian options.Parking: In a plaza.“
“Simple the best place to get Chinese cuisine in the Schenectady NY area. Each time I order the sweet and sour chicken, it is fresh and hot and so tasty. Without fail. Clean restaurant and fast, friendly staff. Their rice is well cooked and chicken is white and fried in clean oil. Highly recommend them!“
“This is where my partner and I went on our first date and where we just went for Valentine's Day. It is a great place with excellent food and service. And very reasonably priced. We will keep coming back to celebrate special occasions. The rose was a nice touch.“
“The food is excellent in this restaurant!!! If you're looking for reasonably priced, delicious Asian cuisine, try this place. They have been in business for 32 years and they certainly deserve support from our community. The atmosphere is relaxing and they do not rush you. What a wonderful change when most restaurants hurry you along . The folks at Tai Pan know the value of a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you!!!“
“Love my delivery, it's quick and hot. This is my favorite take out delivery. I usually order the sesame chicken combo, and it's decently crispy, also love the general favored apps like fried wontons, dumplings, and crab rangoons.I've had several different dishes and all are as expected, I have never ever been disappointed!“
“I've been coming to them for years! Food is always delicious and crispy. They look like a typical hole in the wall. But they're truly a gem. As it stands they will have our business indefinitely.Kid-friendliness: They're a family run business with their kids helping when they can. They're pleasant people who are very sweet with children who are in their shop.“
“This place is great, best Chinese takeout in the area, probably the cap region. Its pricier, but the quality is there, you can taste the difference. Their food is real, not fakey msg frozen tasting. There is nothing to compare it to in the area. Everyone please try it out, I want it to last! Try the chicken anything, and you will see/taste the difference, its real sliced chicken, like you would make yourself!“
“Not only is this the best Chinese food in the area, but they actually listened. You have no idea how many times I have gone in to a Chinese place and asked for extra spicy. Not spicy for mayo, loving individuals, but actually spicy. They delivered! Not only was it delicious, but the heat built over time, and I actually needed a drink to cool down! This place made me so happy!“
“This is the best Chinese food that I've had in a long time. The lady and man cook every thing right when u order it and it's not already half cooked sitting there like most places. Cooked perfectly. Very nice people. Great place to eat.“
“Freshly prepared food (you can see them coming straight from chef's window) decently priced (under $10) with large portions (satisfies my enormous post-workout appetite!) to keep you fed. This is the local go-to place for Chinese fast food. Anna, the lady who runs the front desk, is super nice and friendly. Service is fast and efficient. A heartening food stop!“
“This restaurant has been around for a long time. They always have the best quality and best portions when it comes to Chinese food up here in Albany. Service is always very quick unless it's a holiday and they get really busy. They will usually give you a a time frame of when the food will be ready for pick up. My favorite is their general Tso's chicken and cheese wontons. Prices are insanely cheap for today's economy. I can't even go to McDonald's without spending $50 on my family of four. At double dragon, $50 goes a very long way! Cash only!! Great customer service by the family who runs the whole restaurant.“
“Pick this one!! Wow! Every single thing I’ve gotten here has been so flavorful, fresh, hot, and just so delicious! The service has been great- kind and prompt! Not the place to dine in, but I love seeing a kitchen that leaves me confident eating the food. Yum! Yum!Recommending: Pepper Steak, Beef Lo mein, General Tso!!!“
“It's hard to find good Chinese food. And I have only ever posted 1 review. This is by far, the best Chinese food I have had. I had the chicken and broccoli, my husband got the pork lo mien. They were both so flavorful, quality and quantity were awesome. I would recommend this place for take out. There was no a/c, so it was hot inside. They definitely have the Best Cook.“
“Excellent food! Everything tasted great. The only minor disappointment was the size of the shrimp toast. Usually these are a fair bit larger, but the pricing is fair for these; they're just crispier than typical.Everything else we tried was very good. Our order was ready quickly and staff friendly.“
“New to Albany and wanted a Chinese soup and dinner. After a few reviews picked on Peral of the Orient hot and sour soup and Szechuan chicken were to the point. Slightly different seasoning but none the less both the hot soup and the chicken hit home. May have got our go to Chinese in Albany.“
“Food is about as good as it gets for Americanized Chinese food. Store needs a facelift but don’t think that means the food isn’t great.Parking: There is always parking in this lot as there are other businesses next door that also have spots available. The entire lot is usually only about 30% full.“
“Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro is a gem! The staff were so friendly and helpful, creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxing vibe, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal. Speaking of the food – it was terrific! Authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and the portions were generous. I left feeling satisfied and happy. If you're looking for amazing Chinese food and excellent customer service, this is the place to go!“
