I was at John's Pizzeria on a Sunday with Scott's Pizza Tours. We were pretty much the only ones there. We got to try the Sicilian. This place is the epitome of New York neighborhood pizza place. The décor is straight out of the 1960s when they probably opened. They probably own the building. It's a mother and daughter hand rolling the dough and doing absolutely everything. Cute place. It’s been there since 1976 although my understanding is they were originally a few blocks away from 65-76. Pizza was good. My issue with the place is the daughter’s attitude is gruff and not friendly. When taking my order I’m at the far right of the counter and she walks all the way to the left and grabs a paper and pen. All time favorite pizzeria. I’ve been coming here since I started walking. Family run business (mom and daughter). The place has not changed since I was 4. I enjoy the crispy thin crust, sweet and tangy sauce, and perfect amount of cheese. Best pizza in the
