Restaurantji's Elmont recommendations for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“Excellent food and hospitality! You get a significant amount of value for your money as the food keeps on coming. Also, there are many food options and drinks that are complementary. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant especially if you are hungry.“
“Super delicious tacos! We've been looking for an authentic taco place since we've moved to the neighborhood and so happy yo have finally found one. They are reasonably priced and their food is great. The owners are super friendly and deliver great service!“
“I don't know where are the old people who used to run thisNew people and they are slow and the lady gonna tell me to calm down. How rude . I ran to make a review . I'm a vegan and she had a problem with changing her gloves and she decided not to make my food and make me wait . After she changed her gloves she decided to work on the side for the Drive thru after looking me up and down. Don't know where these people came from . I want the old staff back .“
“I don't know whats going on with this location. Used to be ran by Spanish now it seems Haitians are running it. Marie Lisa we didn't like to much bad customer service. As a front desk person she was rude . They seem to only care about outside orders m they are rushing for Uber drivers and not actual people in store . And the young man making the food was touching meat with his gloves to make wraps and then touching everything I'm over this location . It's not safe .“
“Love the food here! Definitely worth the wait. I recommend the guacamole with mango and the strawberry lemonade. It does get pretty busy on the weekend so if you are in a rush come on a weekday instead! However if you are having a chill weekend definitely dine in and get a molcajete with the green sauce. The presentation is beautiful. Shout to the servers, cooks, and delivery guys for all their hard work.Vegetarian options: Most of their dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan. The rice and beans is animal product free!“
“Shared 4 assorted tacos (fish, lengua, birria & carnitas) with my wife for snack, craved for more. I don’t usually get Lengua (tongue) because of funky after taste from previous experience. At Mala Madre, lengua was so tender, butter and beefy. Will definitely come back for more.“
“Came to casa on a Friday night for dinner with a group of friends, love the fact they had a dj on Friday playing great music, so the night started good, all the food was great , the shrimp and garlic sauce was the winner, and they have a great drinks, thank you Isabella for taking care of my group!! Love it..“
“I was here last night around 8:30pm for the first time and my experience was 10 out of 10. I had the guava coconut margarita on the rocks and it was what I needed after working a 12 hour shift. I'll definitely be returning not because of the great food but because of how kind and pleasant the staff was!!!!!“
“Been here a couple of times, and each time the food and the service has been amazing! Has definitely become one of my favourite spots for Mexican food in all of Long Island. I can’t wait to keep trying different items on the menu until I’ve tried everything they have to offer. This place is great in every aspect, and worth every penny! The photos are from the last time I went with my boyfriend, we got the birria tacos and el burrito chingon. Portion sizes were perfect!“
“Excellent tacos. Had chicken and chorizo. The juices dripping from the chorizo onto the plate alone makes me want to go back. Great green sauce. Great service and nice atmosphere with clay pots and plants in the window letting in the late afternoon sun. I want to try their other dishes.“
