This place is a hidden gem with the locals. Great food, great staff, and great service. I will return if I'm in the area again.-Jerk Chicken: perfect amount of spicy. Fell right off the bone.-rice with beans and peas and oxtail gravy: perfect amount of sticky to soft.-vegetables: alright. Some sort of tasted like the frozen stuff at the grocery store-Plantains Great!
The food is decent, but they are over priced, understaffed, with a bad attitude. Bad combo. Guy charged me a dollar extra for two extra pieces of plantains, (Didn't know til after I paid) when you can get plaintains 3/$1 in the supermarket. Ridiculous. No longer a supporter.

Johnny's is a must for those looking to try some delicious Jamaican food in the Far Rockaway area of NYC. I stopped here to order some food for an event my friend was having. The meat choices especially the j*** chicken and salmon were delicious. I would recommend this place for those looking far and wide for good Jamaican food in NYC. Especially in this part of town. Close to the subway and hotels. Also very helpful people.
