“I highly recommend!! Great food!! I was there for breakfast, I can't wait to try lunch! It was clean, and neat (very important to me!!), great service, and friendly staff...also a must! One thing that stood out, is the "Fallen Soldier Table", a table set to honor our fallen soldiers. Since my son and husband are Veterans, this table has special meaning.“
“This was my go to place in Flushing. I knew all the staff here , It was a place in Flushing, Queens with american menu that stayed open late and had reasonable prices plus parking. However, the prices had gone up so much that I have stopped coming. I visited again for my daughter breakfast bday, for all times “
“Perfect experience of a typical diner!Super generous portions, tasty dishes and a warm welcome!I tried the garnished salmon fillet: I've never had such a large quantity on my plates + a super good split pea soup!If I didn't live 6000km away, I would make this place my canteen!“
“A perfect establishment—solid breakfast food, kind servers, and a vibe that reminds me of going to breakfast with my dad as a kid. Other diners in the city are at least twice as expensive and don’t provide half the warmth or charm of this place. Thank you thank you Mike’s!!!“
“We stumbled upon this diner on a quick overnight trip to NYC. It’s everything we were looking for, delicious food made quick with excellent service. The owner at the front was greeting everyone like old friends and you could just feel the sense of community. He seemed to know most people by name. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT sandwich for lunch. They were both excellent. Would definitely recommend. 10/10!“
“Excellent service and great atmosphere! Everyone is so attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and affordable. Their happy hour is really good. The drinks are well made and they are not cheap with the liquor.Well done guys, we will be back soon!!“
“Awesome brunch. Wait is really long on the weekend however and they only do walk-ins. Food came out slow and service left something to be desired but food mostly made up for it. I'd definitely try and come here more often if I lived closer and it wasn't as busy!“
“Mama Jo is just an amazing human being. The breakfast hits right on the spot. Coffee is even more amazing. If you work near or around GC or are taking the train from/to GC around peak time morning’s - you need to stop by!Vegetarian options: Veggies can get the Greek Spinach Pie or Olive Bread“
“Breakfast Burrito and Red Flannel Hash with chunks of real corned beef, not has out of a can, and low sodium) and cubed sweet potatoes and beets! Generous portions, very tasty food. Friendly service, innovative menu. And if you are staying in the very nearby Club Wyndham Midtown 45) you get a free 10% discount (after showing your room key).“
“Great local diner. Good service and good food. They made sure to accommodate our requests for no pork items( got turkey bacon and chicken sausage). Good coffee as well. Close to a little strip mall and other shops and on the way to JFK. Come here for breakfast often. Only complaint is that the parking lot gets packed sometimes as place is often busy and it’s kind of difficult at times to pull out of the place as it’s small.“
“It's a diner and exactly what you would expect only no greasy spoons! It's clear the the owner hires cooks who love the food they prepare and the servers like being there.I didn't use the bathrooms but everything else seemed clean. We got the Reuben sandwich and Impossible burger with fries and onion rings.Fresh and hot with swift service and great portion sizes! The fries were hot but with lots of fry nuggets (underachieving bits smaller than my little finger). The onion rings were perfect as were the sandwiches. I added Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. We would definitely come back!Vegetarian options: Impossible burger“
“This was a happy accident for me. I booked this not realizing that it was a Vegan restaurant. Never having eaten vegan food before I was a bit apprehensive on whether I would enjoy....well I'm happy to say I not only enjoyed but LOVED the experience. How the heck you make a vegan bacon egg and cheese is beyond me but whatever magic they use is working. Delicious! Very cool vibe and decor and very friendly staff as a bonus.“
“AMAZING SERVICE!!!! Denise, our waitress was so nice and very attentive to our table! Food came out fresh, hot and delicious! 10/10 experience here today thanks to Denise’s help!! Loved the special birthday song that came with the ice cream!“
“This place has always had great food I have been eating here 20 plus years the weekend get super busy so be prepared to wait for a table they have the best lemonade around but if you're not in to sweet stuff like my wife don't get it or ask for less “
“I didn't get to take any photos but this was a great find for a late night meal. Have cash or Venmo app ready. We ordered tacos and burritos. Everything came out fresh and fast. Their chili sauce is fire and have just the right amount of heat. They ran out of horchata for me but I'll come back and try again!“
“we were very happy with our breakfast sandwiches! I had a few questions regarding coffee grinds. the man was knowledgeable and happy to share information! overall 10/10 :) Nice Latin American decor - also, very clean, organized and spacious cafe!“
“This is a traditional NY style Greek diner, huge menu, coffee all day, porcelain booths, the works. Lots of seating including sides with fishbowl views of Westchester and Buhre Avenues ... If that is your thing. Such a place is a comfort for many, as it is for me.“
“Stopped in for a quick breakfast (and also to get out of the rain). Had a booth to myself just before the early lunch crowd started arriving. Went with a 3-egg turkey bacon omelette. Chose home fries and rye toast to accompany it. Also, ordered an orange juice as I had had my morning coffee already. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Not a bad diner if you are in the area...“
“Coming off a 13 hour flight from Hawai'i, this place was PERFECT and felt almost like home. Homemade food, welcoming service and reasonable prices! Actually very low prices. I noticed everyone knew the patrons names, greeting them by first name as they walked in. This place is a golden gem. Everyone is welcome here! Mahalo !“
“I guarantee you aren't going to find a more diverse and amazing menu. So many choices and everything was so good. I got the Ruben served open face with your choice of pastrami or corned beef. I got the corned beef and the wife got pastrami. So good! The sweet potato fries, OMG. I don't know how they make them so good but I've never had better. Just trust me on this one, stop once and you'll go back.Parking: Easy to park when we went and it was free.“
“Always satisfied at this diner. Irish breakfast is a large serving, good for 2 people really- has black and white pudding, beans, ham with cooked tomatoes. Breakfast specials come with a small glass of juice, good prices. Mykonos omelette had chunks of feta with tomatoes. 2 eggs with meat is perfect serving size. The place is clean, clean restrooms. Food came out quickly. Service, during our most recent visit, is friendler than the last one. Meter parking in the area charges $0.25 for 1/2 hr.“
“It’s an oasis in Canarsie Brooklyn. Much sweet or unsweetened juices and salads. Thank you Mellissa original, Mellisa’s sister number one and number two. You are all efficient business women and fine young ladies. This is the best American diner in the middle of hard working New Yorkers.“
“Homey diner spot in the neighborhood and it’s a real gem. Kinda hard to notice from the store front but inside is a bustling and welcoming family-owned diner. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to serve. Their coffee is delicious and I have yet to find a dish that I wasn’t satisfied with. Tried the corned hash with eggs and it was yum :) The chicken salad triple decker sandwich was also delicious. The food is always made fresh and super filling! Will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu! Thanks for the great service!“
“Great, expansive menu. Nice location with a great interior. There is really something for everyone. The food was simple, but high quality which is exactly what a diner should be. Fresh ingredients and flavor simplicity goes a long way! Would return if in the area!“
“Argentine-run restaurant almost hidden on 37th Av. in Long Island City. We got there with google maps. Very warm and friendly welcome in a typical American spacious environment. The proposal is very rich as well as tasty and plentiful for a light or more substantial breakfast suitable for a day on tour in New York. Lower than average prices. Advised.“
“Small homey diner with good food and good coffee. They have a wide variety of menu items including health conscious options and a natural smoothie bar. The customer service was excellent. The staff was attentive, warm, and kind. The inside is small but cozy. A great spot for a coffee date, friend date, or solo date.“
“I love everything about this place. They deliver to my house when I’m lazy on Sundays and I brought two of my kids there and they’re very picky and they love it. Also, the quality of the food you would think that the prices would be way more than they are. This place is a hidden gem. I don’t understand why it’s not packed all the time.“
“From the moment I enter this coffee shop I felt welcomed. The owner greeted me and asked my request. My favorite breakfast is oatmeal made with water and I was thrilled that was how it was made. The waitress came and introduced herself and made me feel like a found a new place for my Breakfast. I’m used to another diner but my hairdresser moved across from this coffee shop. Coffee and a buttered roll for my husband and a special I hope you come back. The oatmeal was delicious and made to perfection and the experience brightened my day. I’ll be back. Fran Lewis just reviews/ MJ network blog talk radio“
“I have been coming to George's for many years now whether it is for dine-in or take-out. I have always gotten fantastic service and great food. The staff is warm, welcoming and treat every customer with the utmost respect. The restaurant itself is very clean, even before our current COVID situation. They take this pandemic very seriously and they make sure that they follow all the protocols suggested by the CDC and our State Government. They have been in business for over 60 years and I hope that this institution will be around for another 60+ years. #supportlocal“
“My wife and I, wanted to experience a different place to eat from. After searching Google search, she decided to go to this diner after reading their reviews. This was our first time visiting "The Classic Diner." When we arrived to the location there was a small parking lot. I looked at my wife like," Where the h--- you bought me to! She payed no attention to my expression. She went to the back of the car and pulled out my wheelchair, then we proceeded to the Diner. We was greeted by the owner who directed us to our table. That's where all the fun began. Our waiter who goes by the name Tino, was very professional wrapped in a sense of humor made our dining experience that much enjoyable. As we sat and talked, our meals came, it was more than we expected. Half fry chicken, cooked to perfection alongside large French toast, coffee and juice. Couldn't eat all the chicken, so we got a to-go plate. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to The Classic Diner. We will be back!“
“20240220::i love these small local diners. i got the burger(ok, premade), and pankakes(i love pankakes as much as i love burgers). an order of pasta and alfredo, it wasn't bad(took a while cause they had to make the pasta midday. at least its fresh. need to try their omlettes and home “
“Customers praise our friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to make dining at Allen's Restaurant a truly memorable experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic dinner, or simply craving a delicious meal,“
“I've only ever ordered delivery here and I'll continue to do that. This is one of the best places in the Bronx for breakfast. It's affordable good food. And whoever decided to start wrapping up the drinks to protect your whole order when customers use the delivery services, God Bless You! This is one of the only places I order from where I get to drink all of my coffee and not find half of it flooding the paper bag. I really appreciate that.“
“Fantastic!!! This place is AWESOME. Food is delicious. Staff are super friendly. Seating is comfortable. Atmosphere is great. The manager is a genius for making people feel welcome: me; my friends; the other customers too. You can see it. It’s not just because I’m so cool. :^] It’s very very nice to come to a restaurant where there is so much quality and also so much in the way of personality. Top picks for me: -Romanian Steak (well worth the price) -Pancakes (incredible) Did I mention that the staff here is wonderful? Outgoing. Attentive. Yay!!“
“Ok so I first discovered Sal's in 1992, went to high school around the corner{Clara Barton). When I tell you I stopped every morning to get a BLTfor breakfast and a $2 dollar hero for lunch. Over the year I continued to support and they have yet to “
“Went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Fortunately we didn't wait long for a table. We ordered a basic breakfast platter, eggs, bacon, potatoes, a pastrami sammy and french toast. All the food was delicious, well cooked with care. Service was very friendly but a bit slow but understandable seeing how busy it was inside. No complaints in that regard, tbh. Will be going more regularly!Parking: The restaurant has maybe 7/8 spots at most. There was street parking available close by.“
“I love ❤ my Pete's Diner,Great tasting breakfast,I'm always ordering my home fries n bacon,Today I ate inside the restaurant with my best friend, the service was good, and of course the best waitress Veronica.it is nice and clean n great atmosphere.“
“Ever since I was little, I would go to this restaurant so many times. I have so many fond memories. Even eating it today, it brings back memories of when my mom would take me and my siblings to eat there for dinner. At the time, they would close much later than they do now. Thankfully, I'm already walking home by 2 pm, and since I live close by, the delivery was nice and fast. The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.“
“The food is alway delicious but unfortunately with everything else, it's way too expensive... I ordered a Leo omelette with avocados and a bagel, nothing to drink and was close to $30. that will have to be my last time. I'll miss it but it's not worth that price.“
“This Diner has a lot of options on their menu Food is deliciously prepared the helpings are more than generous from Huevos Rancheros to Crepes all delicious. You're met right away by friendly and attentive waitstaff that never lets you see the bottom of your cup. Place is great for any size group we were 8 in our party and had plenty of room. Friendly and inviting atmosphere.“
“Perfect local spot for some good strong coffee & breakfast. Omelettes, home fries, french toast all are delicious. Applaud the hostess for letting us know that it was not fresh blueberries but rather a jam that is topped on french toast. It was tasty as well, but preferred without the topping. Def would come back“
“Walking into Jimbo’s Hamburger Place is less liking walking into a place than it is like walking into a hamburger. You inhale hamburger steam. You see through hamburger vapor. You are having a hamburger sauna. You’re engulfed by the greasy haze of decades of hamburger. You believe you’re getting a film. If you’re a fairly antiseptic person you will tell yourself to flee. But since you want a really good hamburger, you will tell yourself to sit. You will allow yourself to drift back into fifties luncheonette culture. You will be rewarded with “The Best Chopmeat Money Can Buy.”“
“You check in with the host just like a regular restaurant. When you go in it looks like a small cafeteria turned restaurant. You could see the chefs in the kitchen with the front of staff being students as well. My first course was a chickpea, onion, and peach tart. I have never had anything like it and loved it. Would totally order again. The salmon was served over a lemon sauce which was great. The salmon could have used a minute longer but that's personal preference as I like it cooked a bit more. Lastly I had their take on a Boston crème doughnut. It was a round chocolate mousse cake with crème filling around the outside. For $30'i highly recommend coming.“
“I am so impressed with this local gem! I love retro diners and this one is perfect! Always remember to get Challah french toast! My friend (Thanks, Ben L.!) and I met here for weekend breakfast. I got the hot cup of coffee which is a classic. We ordered the following dishes to share: Jackson House Breakfast and the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries! Both of these dishes were perfect and I had no bad remarks! Jackson House Breakfast, we got scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, home fries, challah french toast, and toast with butter on the side. Everything on this plate was so delicious especially the challah french toast - this was my favorite part! The challah french toast was so fluffy and flavorful in the middle and probably my favorite french toast ever! The breakfast sausage was very unique, it's the fat sausages. It has a nice crisp on the outside and meaty inside. Bacon Cheeseburger, this was a delicious burger! The burger patty had nice grilled marks on it and I loved the charred flavor. Fries on the side was crispy and not oily at all! How did they do this? I can't wait to come back!“
“Service was great at the New York Luncheonette. The menu is mostly standard diner fare, and the food is as you'd expect. Seating is close, so any loud group makes it a loud experience for everyone else. Definitely stop in if you're looking for a nice diner meal, especially for breakfast.“
“If you're looking for a classic diner, look no further. Me and my lady LOVED three decker. She got the buffalo chicken wrap - to die! I had a mighty fine omelette (the departed). We had the best anniversary ever. Waitress good too, -1 star for bathroom cleanliness. Xoxo, RT“
“Omg this place was delicious!! Such great service and Mario was an excellent waiter. He was patient and helped me find foods on the menu that were gluten free for my dietary restrictions. The food was quick and efficient. I appreciate this place so much! Please come and enjoy their fresh food! ❤️??I will be back again!!“

“Excellent service however to the owners please put a lock on the ladies bathroom as it is only meant for one lady to use at a time. The bathroom stall has a big opening where if anyone enters into the bathroom you are exposed. Your every private part and what you are wiping is exposed. Unacceptable. Do something about this. The woman who work there why haven’t you complained! I see you use it also?“
“Going to Steve's is always a great time. With this past Sunday for brunch being no exception! We ordered 3 different omelettes and french toast. Everything cooked to perfection. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, easy going staff that always has a smile. Walked away happy and will be going again. Highly recommend!!!“
