“An authentic New York pizza place. The regular slice hit the spot, but the white slice was a little heavier than I prefer (a thick layer of ricotta cheese that's delicious but extremely filling). Parking is parallel parking on a fairly busy street but there were several spots open and most people come and pick up and leave. Friendly stuff and lots of empty seats early on a Saturday evening.“

Cubano

“I love Capo's! The paninis are similar to a La Bottega but better. The bread is delicious! My favorites are the Cueno, Greco and the Pop but no cheese, add broccoli raab. You can eat in or take out. Inside is similar to most Italian restaurants, dining room is smaller but cozy. Service is always welcoming and they are quick. If you have a hankering for a panini, make sure you try it out!“

“I order frequently and the food is good yet the level of service is not at par as we expect for a local family Italian pizzeria. The person taking order is outright rude ...makes you want to order somewhere else so you don't have the attitude that comes along.“

“Cinelli's is my favorite pizza spot in NYC. I travel 20 minutes once per week to grab our favorite cheese pizza for me and my children. I even introduced my boss to there years ago after visiting others we didn't enjoy, and now he too won't eat any other pizza lol. Joey and the crew are so friendly, kind and courteous. My whole family is hooked on them, even the ones who visit me from other countries around the world. Best pizza and Italian food in New York. Period ????Parking: Free Parking available on restaurant grounds.Kid-friendliness: What can I say, the owners know my kids by name. That's friendly to me lol.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp where persons in wheelchair can access facilities and there's accessible bathroom on the main floor for such, extra bathrooms available downstairs for all others.“

Palominos Bar and Restaurant Steak House • $$
920 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square

“Formerly Palaminos, now Nunzi's is a great place to go out for a delicious meal and some cocktails. The inside was beautifully done over with great modern decor and the food is amazing. Went with my wife and some friends( a party of 5) and each one really enjoyed their meal. My wife had the wild caught Salmon, I had the grilled chicken BLT, our friends had the Lemon chicken, pear salad with chicken and my buddy had the stuffed filet of sole... the sides ranged from delicious homemade mashed potatoes, to fresh broccoli and carrots to nice crispy fries. All came out with beautiful presentation...Hopefully the place will catch on and do well since the name change... Whoever tries it will be back. I'll be back!!“

“"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step - Congratulations, to the new owners and management of Carmela's. L'Appetito Vien Mangiando (people always want more than they already have) is what rolled off my tongue at the conclusion of a beautiful evening surrounded by friends as I was thinking about the Chef's Kiss - Farfalle Antonio. Upon arrival we were greeted in Italian via benvenuto e buona serata, which was warm and welcoming! We started off with a pitcher of Sangria, which was shared amongst 3 and gave us two full glasses each. Others went with beer and a glass of two of red wine. They have a fully stocked bar and a variety of different wines offered to your liking. For antipasto the table ordered to share - Cold Antipasto Plate, Calamari Arrabbiata, Artichoke Oreganata, and Special - Portobello mushroom with mozzarella and red peppers. All were delicious, especially the Portobello. Don't forget to dip your bread in the vinaigrette! Bring on the entrees...Farfalle Antonio and Lobster Adriatica. Chef's kiss goes to Farfalle Antonio. It was very flavorful and don't be afraid to add extra sprinkles of cheese on top via waiter. Your plate will be spotless after you use the bread to wipe up your leftover sauce! This dish is by far the most requested and popular. A must every time you visit or takeout. During our next visit I'd love to try the Branzino because it looked delicious and healthy. You can request it whole or filleted. Always remember, parla come mangi. Literally "Speak the way you eat!" I/we look forward to returning and witnessing the revolution of Carmela's - Cheers!"“
