“I came here last night with two of my friends and we were very impressed with the customer service here. I've always seen this place, but never stopped in but I've been craving authentic Italian food. We made reservations for 5:30p which was clutch because after 6:15p on a Saturday this place was packed! To start the customer service was phenomenal and I was impressed with how the waiters remember all the specials because there were so many. They also checked on our table often to see if there was anything we needed. Now for the food, they have a Flatbread that comes with a red sauce to start which is very appetizing. We got the fig salad which was perfect to start along with the steamed clams. For my entree I got the Ravioli and I'm glad I did. Overall this meal was so satisfying that of course I wanted more. Happy most of all with the service. Thanks for having us and thanks for an amazing 1st time experience at your restaurant. I'll definitely come back soon.Parking: Free after 7pm, the meter is 2hr street parking but we found a park pretty easily across the street around 520p on a Saturday. Probably depends on weather and time of day.Kid-friendliness: Saw lots of families dining while we were there.“
“I came for the pizza but the dish that really caught my eye and took my heart was the Fire and Ice, stracciatella with chorizo and what I assume is a delicious homemade bread. Of course the pizza (Bee sting) was very tasty as well. The place is cool, nice atmosphere. New favorite spot in bushwick.“
“The food was amazing. I had rigatoni with broccoli and shrimp. My friend had chicken parmesan. The portions are really substantial. We started with the meatball and fried mozzarella appetizers and were full by the time the entrées arrived. The waiter was informative and the staff was on top of their game. Very attentive. Most important, we ordered drinks, I had a gin and ginger with lime and I must tell you that the bartender was not stingy.. We had a good time and I'm definitely going back.“
“Went there with my friend today. Hands down, best pizza I have had in Astoria. Order Marinara sauce on the side, trust me. Service was as good as the pizza, ladies inside were really nice. Highly recommend this place if you are a pizza lover like I am. I’ll be back for sure!“
“One of my to go spots for delicious pinza. I truly consider Montesacro to have one of the best pinzas in NY. I really enjoy the dough they use and the fresh ingredients. I’ve tried their pastas as well, they are pretty good. They also have a variety of different Negronis - which I love.“
“Stopped by last night and had a great experience. We made a reservation via Resy and were seated right away. We loved the ambiance. It gave such an intimate, close knit setting. The music is so cool and trendy - goes along well with the vibe. The menu is straight to the point with amazing options. We ordered the Caesar salad, VCR pizza, espresso pot de creme dessert and a cocktail. First of all, my cocktail (Night Rally) is soooo delish!! The Caesar salad is an extreme 10/10. I absolutely loved it! The VCR pizza… another 10/10! The sauce and pepperoni and a bit spicy for those who are sensitive to spice. Nonetheless it was phenomenal. The dessert was such a pleasant, light surprise! I asked if they have an affogato and the substitute was such a relief! We loved it. Just one downside with one of the employees there - she wasn’t too friendly. Good thing she wasn’t our server. Either way, I absolutely would return in a heartbeat!!“
“I hope no one gives this place bad reviews. They gave me great service. Had a bad day till I sat down here. I was able to get chicken Parm and penne Alla vodka as a substitute for the regular spaghetti that normally comes with it. Bon appétit. Definitely coming back.“
“I had such a wonderful experience at pan. I went here for dinner after work with two of my friends. The atmosphere was chill and the food was delicious. Our waiter Rocco was so helpful and knowledgeable with suggestions and provided excellent service. We started with the cheese plate and the olives and bread. The cheese with the truffle honey was a delight. I ordered the bucatini, one of my friends ordered the eggplant parm and the other the herb chicken. Everything was so yummy and we would definitely go back!“
“Sotto la Luna is a hidden Italian gem in Astoria. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. Open space and cute decor. The food is authentic and delicious. My favorite dish was the seafood couscous risotto, and I was told that they sometimes make it with rice. I'm definitely coming back to try the “
“A serendipitous local find after a friend’s flight was canceled and our first choice to eat didn’t work out. The pizza and service were both top notch, the specials were delicious and the pizza dough perfect. The staff was engaging and Patrick introduced himself by commenting on the joy of my sister’s Christmas sweater. We’ll be back!“
“This is absolutely the best pizza in Queens, probably America, possibly the world. It is my main request for all special occasions and they hit it out of the park when I ordered a bunch of pizzas for my birthday and requested they be cut “party style” with no further instruction or explanation of what I meant. The crust alone is like eating a fancy loaf of bread that you would pay $14 for. The vodka pie is definition perfection. Do not sleep on this pizza!“
“This and Pizza Sam's the last good pizza places in jackson heights. Pizza Sam is overpriced. This place is a bit overpriced but it's not to bad, they gotta compensate for inflation so i get it. The guy at the counter is great. If u guys read this I got a question. U deliver 10 blocks up to 93rd street? Between roosevelt and elmhurst ave? Thanks“
“Me and a good bro of mine were on the hunt for something tasty. At least I was..lol. We randomly chose this place...., so welcoming! The menu was filled with pizza! I ordered the 4 STAGIONI, and it was amazing! Woodfield pizza ( Napali style). I didn't realize we both loved it. Can't go wrong here. ? Very relaxed atmosphere.... check it out guys! Thanks a bunch Sottocasa!“
“This place was incredible…. Walked here from north Williamsburg and will be definitely be back. Had the Ragu and it was some of the best pasta I have ever had. It was so perfectly Al Dente and fresh. The chicken Milanese was probably our favorite dish but everything was amazing. We came with a vegetarian and a vegan and everyone left very satisfied! The drinks are also great.“
“A nearly perfect combination of ambiance and food. Got there at 7pm on a Saturday night and was able to snag a table for two. Ordered the ricotta, honey, and pepperoni pizza. It was close the best pizza of its kind I have ever had. Generous selection of wines and smart cocktails. Pastas are also very good. Reasonably priced. Just an overall well executed restaurant.“
“Excellent pizzeria. Has an old time look and feel, probably because it’s been around for over 50 years. A slice is actually the cost of a subway fare (within a dine, anyway), like it always used to be. Pizza is really delicious, made fresh to order. Small place with ample seating. Lots of employees, all happy and friendly and talkative. Came here from Canarsie with my grandson and we couldn’t be happier.Parking: Parking within a block“
“Omg it was so good!!! I have been passing by this place for several years now and telling myself “I must stop by” but they close relatively early since Covid so it’s a bit harder to go. I finally went in today and got the meat burek and it was heavenly. We have something similar in Moldova but I honestly like this version better. Will be stopping by to try the cheese and the spinach and cheese ones. The yogurt is excellent too. Good service!“
“This is one of the best restaurants under “Sotto” management. As the go-to spot for my wife and I, we have tried almost everything on the menu. I can confidently say there are no bad dishes here. The seafood pasta wrapped in pizza dough is not only unique but also delicious. Highly recommend!Service quality can be inconsistent when the restaurant is packed, but wine pour is always generous. It is not a problem at all when your bell is full of fresh pasta and aged wine. This place teaches you a lesson in its Italian way… slow down and enjoy the night.“
“Good place to dine,Lasagna on point, above all great food to pick from, sometimes delivery can take time depends on time and weekends, that shows they are busy and food is great that a lot of people order from this place, worth the wait ✋️“
“The pizza at Macoletta is a 10 out of 10.The dough is very well fermented, fluffy crusted and the Topping variations are more then wonderful.I highly recommend the pizza bresaola and Diablo. I love the open pizza kitchen.Waiters & cooks are very nice and helpful. Happy our beer is great too!“
“Excellent classic NY pizza and I've been all over the tri state. I came in with no expectations and gotta I say its one of the top pizza joints compared to Newpark in Rockaway, Lucias Flushing and Amores in Whitestone. Unbeatable 2 slice drink special. Funny italian guys behind the counter who know what they're doing. Places like this are relics. Get em while they last!“
“The best and most underrated pizza place in all of NYC. The slices are perfectly balanced in terms of sauce and cheese, portions good, flavor incredible. The founder comes front Lucali’s and it shows. The best kept secret for pizza in NYC!Highly recommend the grandma pepperoni and the buffalo chicken.“
“Walked in this place on a a busy Sunday afternoon, yet were welcomed cordially with a smile from all the workers. The Baked Ziti & The Penne Vodka were very delicious and well cooked. The Pizza guy, Henrique is recognized from a different place & continues to flourish while?Yigal, the owner is very courteous and made sure every table was taken care off. Prices were reasonable too. Recommended !“
“The service was immaculate. Ana did a fantastic job at giving us a great experience. It was our first time here and she was attentive, kind, and fun! At the end she let us spin the wheel to win a prize and I got a free soda, but I was a little bummed because I wanted to win a free shot, but she gave me it anyways! Not just the service, but the food was actually really good. It is a lowkey place, but with great food with great portions for a fair price. The drinks were definitely potent as well. We ordered the arepas for 2 that came with nachos, colombian hot dog, premium steak fries that came with a fire show, sangria, and a modelo. Everything was so filling that I had to take most of the food to go. I would recommend this place to everyone!!“
“I came here for a birthday in the party room on the 13th floor. The service was very good. The people attending to us were very attentive and accommodating to our needs.I went downstairs to the bar and the bartender, Renee, was super sweet. She was easy to talk to and helped me with finding a cocktail for the birthday girl. If you do get to visit while she’s there, her “Frida” and Kamikaze with cranberry juice were my personal favorites of the night.Thank you so much and I hope to visit again soon!!“
“I only wish I discovered this place sooner. I've had everything from their pizza to their pasta & the food is absolutely delicious with large servings. I mostly get delivery but when I drop in for a slice or some pasta the staff is super friendly & always accommodating. This is now my go to pizzeria. So happy to have found them.“
“Stepping into Best Pizza for the first time, you're immediately struck by the bustling, authentic Brooklyn vibe that promises an indulgent pie experience. And the promise is fulfilled; the white pie and the cheese pie, famed among the regulars for their exceptionally thin crust and rich flavor, are the stars of the show. We decided to follow the crowd's wisdom and opt for the cheese pie on our maiden voyage to this heralded spot. The first bite was a revelation - the crust crackled with the perfect level of crispness, supporting a flavorful blend of cheeses that melted harmoniously in the mouth. It's the kind of pie that commands your attention, not just for the taste but for the sheer craftsmanship.Adding to the charm of Best Pizza is the ease of transaction – they're living in the present, accepting both cash and cards, which is a welcome nod to convenience. And for those looking to pair their slice with a drink, the selection, albeit limited, is well-curated, featuring a handful of beers and wines that are the perfect accompaniments to the pies on offer. In a city where pizza joints are as ubiquitous as the yellow cabs, Best Pizza stands out for delivering on its name, offering an experience that’s both nostalgic and satisfyingly current. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or just in search of that classic New York slice, Best Pizza at 33 Havemeyer St delivers an experience that's worth savoring and revisiting.“
“this place is awesome. very cool inside all the different photographs and paintings. good music and good service. this restaurant offers name brand plant based products, some of which were new to me. Ropa Vieja was excellent as well as the cauliflowers wings. Chicken sandwich for me was very salty and saucy. The chicken was pieces and not a filet shape. it was also served on bread and not a roll, chicken sandwich didn’t do it for me, but i would really like to come back and try the other things they have to offer.Vegetarian options: this is a vegan restaurant“
“Excellent service, great food & wine. Had the lamb shank w risotto - melt in your mouth good. Love the gnocchi. If you like cured meats definitely get the pancetta - very generous portion. Servers are awesome and will handle your wine pairing if you need.“
“The Margherita pizza is made with whole diced tomatoes, it's very refreshing and not greasy at all. The pepperoni is generously portioned, and as an end to the day, I feel very satisfied. I'm glad to have such a great pizza place in Astoria.“
“This is a halal Algerian spot with very authentic food. They have sandwiches and platters and some flavorful side dishes. I had the merguez sandwich and chicken sandwich, and a couple side dishes. The Merguez was amazing, very delicious sausage type dish in a hero roll with fries inside. There's not a lot of seating space so it's a great takeout spot.“
“I love Carmine's scillian pizzaI go there above all other pizza parlors to get my pizzaBut my most recent stop in to buy a scillian pizzaWasn't the normal scillian pizzait seems as if someone new is making themand it seems as if it moved away from the traditional recipe that day for some reasonIt used to be thin a light crunch great Italian sauce and the right amount of cheeseI Asked one of the guys behind the counter and he replied that they have a new guy preparing the pizzasI asked because all the pizzas in display case were burned at the edges and that turned me off right away because that is never the case when you look into the display case at Carmines delicious pizzeriaBut I ordered my scillian slices anywayOn that occasion onlyI found that it was not made in the traditional cooked to perfectionthat I know Carmine's pizza to be known forMaybe it was a fluke maybe the guy was out sickWhom prepared the pizzas or maybe the guy who makes the pizzas simply had an emergency and wasn't there that dayI don't knowBut I know once the owner gets the feedbackHe will clear up that matter ASAPas soon as he becomes aware of that matterBecause he serves everything to perfection at Carmine's pizzaI love Carmine's pizzeria, it's the best pizza ever !!!“
“Finally got to try the viral oxtail pizza. I tried the teriyaki oxtail, the brown stew oxtail and the sweet chili. Like many others have said, I feel like the sweet chili oxtail was the best , but all of them were good. I feel like the oxtail is very overpowering (which is a good thing) but because of that you don’t really taste the cheese but you can feel the texture of it if that makes sense. I went expecting a long waiting time, but actually I was able to walk right in and only had to wait a total of like 10 minutes to order and get my food. And I went on a Saturday evening so that was surprising.“
“Old school NY pizza spot. The first time I tried to grab a slice was too late and they were closing. When I opened the door the smell knock some nostalgia gears into rotation and I was taken back to the daily after school pizza slice trip of my childhood in NYC. I had to come back and try it. When I returned I met the owner who was making the pizza and he was very welcoming and classic pizza guy. Very friendly and made me feel like a regular. Plenty of regulars arrived and they would talk like old friends. So this place is definitely a neighborhood staple. I ordered a regular slice and a pepperoni slice to get a baseline. The regular was delicious and definitely old school, great crust, no flop, and the cheese was not too oily. The pepperoni slice had a bit of flop but was delicious. The slices were a bit smaller than I expected but the price was fair. I paid $8.00 for a regular slice, pepperoni slice, and a can of Pepsi. Cash only spot! I was satisfied enough to ask for a third slice, this time opting for a mushroom slice and it was also wonderful. This place is a classic pizza spot, no new specialty style slices. So no grandma or Buffalo chicken. Which is fine because enough places already do that. The decor is dated to the 80's or even earlier. Which is also fine because this is not a date spot, it is a classic pizza spot, grab a slice and go or sit down for a few minutes and recharge. Come here if you want to walk into the past and taste old school NY pizza with a nice sauce and real cheese. Definitely visiting Eddie again and going to start ordering pies from there.“
“Went for my mother's birthday and she loved the ambiance and the food. My children both under 15 enjoyed all the food and ate it all up. I really appreciated our server who spoke both English and Spanish and really personalized the experience. The team checking in on the quality and ensuring we are ok really made it even better“
“Now I love me some pizza. It gave me an upscale dining experience of just that. I was greeted immediately and seated (made my reservation in advance). There is no parking lot, but there is meter parking and some residential blocks that you can look for parking. As a starter, I got the calamari, and it was tasty with the Chipotle sauce and marina, I preferred the Mariana. Even some garlic butter would have been a perfect pairing, in my opinion. For the main course, we ordered cheese and sweet sausage pizza and the truffle pizza, and both were cooked to perfection“
“Good pizza, but unfortunately not outstanding or phenomenal for a couple of reasons. I ordered the prosciutto pizza and the sausage pizza here, the wait here was extremely long for me, but to their credit they were extremely busy and working on what appeared to be an incredibly tiny pizza oven, no big deal since I was in no hurry that day. Pizza came and I was excited since I've only tried a prosciutto pizza in Europe. The prosciutto pizza here was eye opening, the combination of their cured meat, parma cheese, arugula and olive oil drizzle was absolutely divine, all the flavors worked in complete harmony and magic that is indescribable. The other pizza though was not as memorable and fell slightly on the more average side. Where both pizzas could have used a little work? That crispiness of the bread just wasn't there, the pizza fell flat due to the sogginess of the bread used to create it. Overall a good pizza spot with a truly great and unique item, definitely would come back to try more of their menu“
“This is an easy five star wood fired pizzeria. Every pie made fresh and with top quality ingredients. There’s not a wrong choice on their entire menu. Awesome selection of wines and beers however, I do wish they had a full bar because that will elevate Milkflower to a six star review.Staff is super cool and the vibe is next level.“
“I love how simple and small their menu is. They been here for years for a reason. Nothing like a real authentic nyc brick oven slice. I'll be honest. I didn't like it at 1st cause I would usually get it burnt. I'm not a fan, some are and that's cool but I learn to ask them for a light slice and it's a game changer. Every ingredient put into that slice is perfect. Especially after a bike ride. I also love the 80/90s vibe. CASH ONLY! KEEP IT OLD SKOOL??Parking: Just don't come during rush hr and you'll be fine.“
“Best kept secret in N.Y.Been eating everything here , in all its vast varieties for over 20 years .They make the best shrimp Parmigiano heroes in NYC .. .driving a yellow-cab , I've tried others allover NYC , and that includes Brooklyn , where they have great pizza spots ?“
“We went on valentines night & again on 2/28/24 The service at the bar by the entrance was a disaster he was rude after he gave us the wrong drink he shrugged & walked away. The service at the table was excellent on both visits. Nicely decorated restaurant & delicious “
“I've lived in NYC for over ten years and this is the best tasting pizza I've found so far. The pizza man there, Ciro makes delicious pizza every time, and, speaking from personal experience, he makes it the way it should be made. Handsome guy too. I recommend you go visit.“
“Easily my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. I moved upstate last year and go out of my way to visit Ops whenever I am in the city. My favorite pizza (gotta get the Cicero - trust), delicious small plates, and the best natural wine. The inside is cozy and intimate, great place for a date or to bring friends. Service is always perfect, the servers know their stuff and are happy to find you a wine that brings you joy. Can’t wait for my next visit!“
“The service at this pizza and bagel store was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about their offerings. They took the time to explain the different options and made recommendations based on my preferences. The orders were fulfilled quickly, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was to my liking. When I asked for a special request, they accommodated me with a smile. The team worked seamlessly together, creating a welcoming and efficient experience. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. I left feeling valued and impressed, which is a testament to their exceptional service. Kudos to the team for setting a new standard for service excellence!“
“Absolutely wonderful place with outstanding dishes. Let me clear out couple things. When you come in to dine here it feels like you just travelled to Italy. Every single item on the menu has a unique authentic flavor and you can even taste the passion and care that was put into preparing it. We are so glad we discovered this place and from now on not only us but our friends are big fans of ViaVai.It is a small place with amazing atmosphere. And if people say that food preparation takes too long, I don’t know what is too long when at the end you receive an absolute masterpiece on your plate! There is no hit or miss at ViaVai, every single dish on the menu will make you happy.Try everything and do not forget panna cotta at the end!“
“Stopped in for a quick lunch with visitors to NYC. We just had a regular cheese pizza with pepperoni. It was the best pizza I've had in a really long time - as good as the pizza I used to have when I grew up in the Bronx a million years ago. Definitely going back!“
“Incredible burger! It’s the only one on the menu and it rivals some of the best burgers I’ve eaten in New York City. I’ve been to Donovan’s, Corner Bistro, and Peter Lugers Steakhouse and this burger should be in the same group. The wings are also phenomenal and the atmosphere is great. Very homey and quaint location to get a drink and try a variety of top notch food. Will be going back for the burger.“
“Louie and Ernie's Pizza is like visiting your favorite uncle's house, who makes one of your favorite meals! Once you get there, you eat and chat, and you get so cozy that you don't realize you stayed so long? Plain and crispy, I love it! Thanks for keeping that "uncle" feeling!Vegetarian options: Plain pizza is vegetarian, that's an amazing selection!!“
“I have been coming to Yankee Pizza since 1988 and still 30 something years later this place holds a special place in my heart, memories of my youth in my favorite place to eat my favorite pizza, and I hear one of the original owners still here and so,,, Mike if you are, thank you for your years of service to us all. I'm happy to see you are still with us trough the years and good to know, you still have amazing hands, and a heart of gold! May God bless you always and I wish you many more years of God's grace!. God bless! So some on down and get a taste! “
“I’m Sagor Paul, enjoying dominos pizza always!I love the service at 188-07 Union Tnpk and onlythe technical issues was when ever I like to payby card their credit card machine take long time, because they have to put the number manually instead of tapping the card. I also like the pizza quality and brownie dessert the most.Thank you for serving us and the communityBest pizza likewise.for serving us great pizza.“
