This gem of a restaurant is like coming back home. You will be fed, you will be nourished, you will be welcome, and hailed upon your return by the owners and their long-time wait staff.
L'Isola D'Oro has been a gem for Sicilian and Southern Italian food for years. We just stopped in and found out that they are in the process of selling. I don't begrudge them selling, but the loss of such a gem will certainly impact the area.
UPDATE: had dinner there last night. Again this small cozy restaurant with a quaint atmosphere served us a well prepared satisfying dinner. Companion had a seafood fra diavolo medley of calamari, scallops, mussels, clams over linguine. HUGE portion. Pasta, linguine, was cooked al dente. I had scallops fra diavolo over a thinner pasta, lots of scallops.
