Dinner last Thursday- Lovely calm atmosphere with Bollywood music of a bygone era playing softly in the background on a chilly and windy night in NYC.We ordered Pondicherry Dosa, Paper Dosa and Tamarind rice and a Chillie Paneer.They came freshly made and heated just right The food was crisp tasty and delicious. Jagdish and Vishala, owners of the restaurant (excuse the spelling) are very friendly. The service was fast and great, food was amazing as always (we got Gobi Manchurian Dosa and Spinach Masala Dosa this time). Only feedback would be the spice level could be more in the potato filling of the dosa. Chai at the restaurant or on the go is perfect too. I recommend anyone in the mood for yummy vegetarian Indian food to visit.

This place is simple and offers a homely environment. My friends and I enjoy the "Chana bhatura" as well as "Sev Dahi Batata Puri" chaat, especially, at Samudra. The owners are friendly and it's a no stress-place, which feels refreshing.
