“Not sure what all of the bad reviews are about, because when I went here it was not bad at all. I got the udon, and it wasn't the best, but it was definitely very good for a typical Asian fast food place. The food was ready in about 6 minutes, so great service. Atmosphere wasn't the best because it was in an airport.“
“Food was delicious. Spicy, but not in a bad way. I enjoyed my meal. Many people got the soup and they all said it was delicious. Service was quick and nice. Atmosphere was calm. They have a full bar. It felt a bit expensive for what you got.“
“I brought my friend after I found this place from a friend. We enjoyed everything … and talking about service, i can’t brag more about Amanis … She’s just the best. Aside from the delicious offerings, She will give you all to have you enjoy and have the best experience in their restaurant ??“
“What an incredible find! I love Thai food and this is hands-down the best Thai restaurant in NYC. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating and took great care to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Even the chef came out to greet us and make sure he got the spicy levels right for each of our dishes. I had the Pad See Ew with vegetarian duck, which was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend!!!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian duck (in the pad see ew) is the best I have ever had!!“
“This just might be our favorite Thai spot in Queens. It's a tight fit both inside out, and would recommend calling ahead to get a reservation, but we were able to be squeezed in quickly with the help of their super friendly servers. Splurging on the super-cheap cocktails is a must, and both of our duck entrées were to die for. That soup broth still sticks with you for a long time. Portions are large so plan appropriately, but it's hard not to get everything on the menu.“
“Went here last weekend to have lunch with our daughter who goes to St. Johns. Parked right on the corner (Metered ) no parking lot for those wanting to know. Mostly college crowd. Service was quick and good. Photos from others are the same as ours so i won't post. We would definitely go back again.“
“As you enter the restaurant, it has a more cozier and relaxed eating experience. The food took some time but it’s worth the wait. This is going to be a go to spot if I want Thai food in a relaxed setting. I highly recommend the Roti Dipp. The peanut dipping sauce is so savory.“
“Very nice Thai restaurant! Had the lunch special the other day and it was super good value. Their lunch special might be a dollar or two more expensive than some others, but the ingredients are definitely more superior. Well worth the money. Excellent!“
“Went to Pata Cafe for lunch in Elmhurst, Queens, NY. Looking for authentic Thai? You'll find dishes here that are hard to find in the ??. NY Times and Michelin recommended for casual authentic Thai fare.Had Thai Lychee tea and Yum Woon Sen. Sweet and complex flavor for the tea. Spicy, tangy, earthy, and herby flavors for the dish. Too full for dessert! The wife had the beef soup.Only seats 12 people max. Cash or Venmo only. Lots of free street parking on a Saturday. Can't wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: Most dishes dairy freeParking: Found parking right in front immediately on a Saturday for lunch“
“The best Thai food in NYC, and I’m NOT JOKING! Service is amazing, provided by servers who are upbeat and willing to make a conversation and advise. Food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Please do yourself a favor and order fish and som tum Thai! It is the best salad you’ll have, spicy and crispy ♥️?? p.s. Thai tea is an absolute DREAM ✨“
“No frill place. You choose your entrees over rice. 2 meats $15.50 3 meats $16. Just a great deal especially since the food is made fresh daily. So by the evening time the most popular dishes are sold out. I believe they switch up some of the meats monthly. Garlic pork and spicy ground pork are my go to’s. The space is clean and very cute during warmer weather. And the workers are always welcoming.“
“No matter where you live on Long Island, Siam Emerald is worth the trip !! This restaurant is beautifully decorated- from the greenery on the ceilings to the gorgeous bathrooms. Siam Emerald definitely knows the importance of great service : The wait staff was amazingly attentive! The cuisine was truly outstanding. Every appetizer, entree and dessert that we ordered didn't disappoint. Absolutely everything we tried was sooo delicious AAND...we were wowed with the unique and creative presentation of every dish. This place was packed but not too loud. It was just a completely enjoyable evening! Needless to say , we highly recommend!!!!! Thanks Siam Emerald ! We had a great time and we'll be back soon!“
“Calamari was good. Drunken noodles were super flavorful. Vegetarian green curry was also very flavorful and delicious but not spicy like requested. Knocking a star because the Thai iced tea was wayyy tooooo sweet to the point where it didn’t taste like Thai iced tea anymore. We asked if it was possible to make it less sweet and they added more milk. But we still couldn’t drink it. I’d skip the Thai iced tea here and get the food. Food is really yummy. Servers are all attentive. This place is cash only which is a little inconvenient. They have an ATM inside but still, who wants ATM and bank fees just to eat at a cash only restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian menu“
“I have been craving nam khao tod since living in Europe where SE Asian food is fairly basic. This did not disappoint! They made it spicy as I requested and gave me more herbs/lettuce for free when I'd run out! Note it's cash only.“
“We were in the mood for some good drunken noodles. My wife found this place through Muslim foodie review. The ambiance, and atmosphere of the restaurant are pretty decent. We had a friendly young lady who approached us as soon as we entered the place. We knew what we wanted- drunken noodles and fried fish with papaya salad. However, our server told us the fried fish may take a minimum of 15-20 minutes to cook, with two kids with us, we didn't want to wait that long, so I ended up ordering the orange chicken. Both of our dishes were good and flavorful. Their price is also relatively reasonable. I also like the fact that they designated a small space for prayer. I would recommend this place.“
“Great price for what you get. I don't live around this area, and was just here to get the original chicken combo; but the fried chicken (see picture) looked really good, and I think it might be worth another trip back to try! The combo came with salad and soup as well that are not pictured - all very good.“
“This is my favorite restaurant in Astoria. Vibe is relaxed and the food is AMAZING.I'm a huge fan of the sukhothai noodles, fried pork strips, and the goi neur (warning, they were NOT kidding about the spice).Love this place, I'm tempted to stop inside anytime I'm in the area!“
“We have had dinner at this restaurant several times. The environment is very tasteful, the service is very good, and the various dishes are very exquisite in workmanship. We highly recommend this place and will stay here again if we come back to New York.“
“Found my new favorite Thai restaurant. This is hands down the best Thai food ever! We ordered the Tofu Pad Thai, Tom Kha Soup, Chicken Satay, Snapper, Crabmeat Fried Rice and Thai Iced Tea. So delicious! Not only was the food amazing but the service was also amazing. Our server Jack was very attentive. We definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be returning soon to try other dishes!“
“Update: prices have increased. Menu changed a little. The vegetable dish I ordered had very little sauce. I wasn't pleased with the mixed broccoli.?I love the crab ragoon! So good.?thai ice tea is amazingMy favorite thai restaurant. Great ambiance & atmosphere. The owner is amazing, and the staff are attentive. Always a great time here and always leave this place very satisfied. I highly recommend the chive pancakes! The soups are delicious. The garlic pepper chicken entree is so delicious.I recommend everyone to come here for a true thai authentic food experience. The prices are reasonable. Street/ residential parking is easy to find around here as well.Love both dining inside & outside. Great music is playing in the background. I also love doing take outs here as well. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Options availableDietary restrictions: Options availableKid-friendliness: Kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: On ground floor. Inside and outside dining available“
“Party at home isn't bad idea at all after ordering out from Ayada Thai. Everyone is happy with deep fried fish with mango salad on the side. We order 2 kind of sausage and both of them are delicious. Grilled beef we wanted medium rare but we got kind of rare, so we had to cooked more by ourselves. Papaya salad is just ok and a bit salty. I was disappointed on Ka Nom Jeen noodle (side dish) the noodles were too hard and too big, not like Thai style Ka Nom Jeen. My favorite dish was Koong char nam pra (row shrimp with spicy fish sauce) Overall, they did a good job.“
“Very satisfied with the taste and portion size of Thai takeout from Thonglor, which may have gotten a new owner or chef since the old Red Basil? Green curry is tasty and includes nice large chunks of eggplant and bamboo shoots. Noodle dishes like pad kee mao and pad see ew have generous portion of noodles. We normally order from Pochana but have a new favorite in Thonglor, which costs slightly more but you definitely get a larger portion and good quality in return.“
“Such a great place. The food was amazing, the restaurant is nice and cozy, and the staff are great. The Massaman Short Ribs are a must try, and the Blue Rain is so refreshing.Special shout out to our server Darrow! He made the night very enjoyable for us.“
“The food here is fresh and delicious. Great portions without being overwhelming. The service was spot on. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and quant. I never write reviews but they were so impressive! Finally a spot that offers it all!“
“If you want to look for a new experience that will not disappoint you, it is to come eat Thai. We ordered chicken fried rice and pad Thai. In addition to appetizers, we ordered some chicken dumplins. The restaurant is small but the time we were here we saw many delivery people coming out visiting the store to enjoy the food. The price plus the quality and taste of food is worth it. The portion of their dishes seems great to share between two people and try each dish. It is worth highlighting that they have a very unique decoration with their chandeliers. and the waitress was always very attentive. This restaurant is a 10/10. If you are from the Sunnyside community or its surroundings you should come to this restaurant.“
“Excellent food and served with lot of warmth by the server Boom. We had Tofu Soup liked it a lot. We also loved the Curry Chicken Puffs and Green Thai Curry. Wrapped with a lovely Hot Lava Vanilla ice cream dessert.Vegetarian options: Lots of options of vegetarians“
“Somtum was so delicious. Somtum usually has a strong fish sauce flavor but this one was most lemony and light. The chili powder is a perfect addition to spice it up.The pad kee mao was amazing. The chicken was soft and flavorful and there was the perfect mix of vegetables. We also got the ribs and it was pretty decent but it is meat on the bone so a bit more of a hassle to eat.“
“2nd time coming to this place. Leaving with satisfied tummy. They really deliver on the spice and their food always comes out tasty and hot.The location is small and nothing flashy, but love a yummy, quiet and affordable dinner. My go to Thai place in the neighborhood.“
“I went there for my friends birthday dinner and it was an incredible experience. The look of the restaurant is very chic and modern. The food and drinks were amazing and my servers Yuliza and Sahana were the sweetest people. Would definitely be back!“
“Fantastic hidden gem of a thai restaurant!Extremely well-lit, clean, and orderly appearing the moment you walk in. This probably isn't the ideal setting if you're looking for a "restaurant style experience", but there are several small tables you can sit down to eat at. It seems the majority of the business is take-out.I have ordered several times in recent weeks. And the food was delicious! I tend to order the spring rolls, as an appetizer, and my favorite dish, Kee Mao with Chicken (this is often known as "Drunken Noodles") as my main course. I have also tried the Pad Thai, and a few other items on the menu.Absolutely tasty, hits the spot, reasonable pricing, and super-quick.One other thing.. and this is the most important; outstanding, incredibly pleasant customer service. I was greeted warmly upon entering, and was thanked very sincerely as I received my order....with a smile. This means alot to me, and helps me decide where to spend my money. They deserve it here.If you're used to ordering Chinese Take-out all the time, and want a real change of pace, make the switch! Give Thai Tai a try!“
“Woooowwwwww…….!!!!!!!Such an amazing place and wonderful staff … and talking about the food which reminds me of the home food and it’s didn’t disappoint at all .. I loved the food so much that we almost ended up ordering so much of food and got full but overall great place and I can say I found a place I can trust around my place to be at.Thank you so much.“
“I’ve tried my fair share of ayce bbq, and this is easily the BEST. From the meat selection to the dessert bar, it’s so clear how much thought was put into the curation of this restaurant. The service was, also, just exceptional. We came right before the last seating time, and the staff made it known that we shouldn’t rush ourselves. They guided us through what to try, what tastes best etc. Left here incredibly stuffed with not just food, but also the love of the welcoming staff - will definitely be back! Could not recommend more.“
“I've gotten food from here four or five times (mostly ordered out but dined in once) and have loved it every time! Really flavorful meals, generous portions, and friendly staff. They're really efficient with preparation time. Cute interior and a welcoming vibe. One of my new restaurant recommendations!“
“Come visit New York. I want to eat mixed fermented pork. Someone just recommended this shop. So I ordered several menus. I have to admit that the fermented fermented pork at the restaurant is very delicious and the Thai salted egg salad has a perfectly mellow taste, but.. the papaya salad with crab and fermented fish and the Tam Mua are a bit too salty. Reducing the saltiness would be very good. But overall it's okay.“
“We were very excited to come here based off of recommendations and knowing the connections to the other establishments (the attic, tavern157).My recommendations would be to order a bunch of the shared plates because it’s barely enough for two people. The sampler platter was a good introduction to the food ( the moneybag dumplings was my favorite of the night). On a Monday night it’s not busy, which surprised me when I had to order a side of rice (not warm) that didn’t come with the shared plates. The atmosphere is nice, it’s Instagram ready, the staff are people pleasing, street meter parking was available and it’s a quick walk down a flight of stairs to the restaurant.Bathroom is clean and the food is decent. Maybe the food sat in the window a little too long, I felt the food could’ve come out warmer.I would come back.“
“I had to redo my review and I did give it five stars at first and the food was good . However when I went back the food was so soggy and nasty I wonder if it was another cook there . My first time eating here was delicious and everything was outstanding . But my money went down the drain . I guess it depends on who “
“This is my go to place for all things Thai. The food and taste is authentic, always hot and fresh when served and the staff is incredible. My go to:Shrimp pad see ewChicken pineapple fried riceChicken massaman curryChicken satayChive dumplingsWingsShrimp sa ba thongSpicy eggplantDuck saladMandi stick rice dessert“
“Dropped by for lunch on break from work. WOW. What a slam dunk in design aesthetic and continuity throughout materials, service, food, and value. Decrease ? volume and increase soup heat and it was the perfect visit. I actually look forward to returning for a drink and dinner sometime. Lovely ??“
“My friend and I had wonderful dinner at Na RATH Thai restaurant. We shared everything as Thai family styleDecoration is colorful, vibrant flowers and bustling. Surprisingly the ambient sound wasn't to loudDelish, authentic and flavorful Thai food. You can't go wrong with Thai food at this restaurant. Also, I love all decorative and garnishes all dishes with flowers. So creative and beautiful !The service was friendly, had excellent service minded and fastOverall everything we ordered was great. We finished the dinner with a piece of coconut chiffon cake and a piece green tea crape cakeI would suggest anyone when people ask me a good Thai restaurant in Queens“
“This place serves variations of one chicken dish. The chicken was moist, and the ginger rice was also tasty. The broth was light but flavorful. What makes this place stand out is the sauces. They have a spicy lemongrass paste (?), ginger paste, garlic paste, sweet soy sauce (?), and chilis which really elevate the chicken. Seating inside is limited.“
“A Thai place that my friends and I visited in Queens. We ordered Thai Fried Rice, Green Curry, Pad See Ew, and Pad Kee Mao (all of them were $15 w/ chicken). This place tasted really authentic as there was so much flavor in all the dishes. Furthermore, they adjusted the spice level very well according to our requests. The service was a bit slow in the beginning, but got better near the end. The only downside is the mandatory 20% gratuity for parties of 5+. Other than that, $15 for an entree is value. Overall, I would rate this place a 9/10 - amazing food for amazing prices.“
“THE BOAT NOODLES HERE !!!! Are to die for. Next door is popular and good but Tea Cup is also amazing & better in my opinion. I’ve tried other things like BBQ / dessert and they were fine … but come here and order the boat noodles!!! So beefy, earthy, hearty. Perfect balance of flavors.“
“I had the Duck Pad See Ew now these noodles remind me of drunken noodle so if you like that then you will love this dish! The duck was succulent and crispy on the outside cooked to perfection wow! The food was tasty but not salty and greasy like other Thai places I have tried recently. The chef is top notch and knows what she is doing for real just the right balance of flavor and taste in every single bite. Next up I had the appetizer the main event the "Zaab" Spicy Chicken Wings. I've never had chicken wings with this particular flavor or seasoning before so this was new territory for me. No need to worry though as you're in good hands like All State with this chef she is no joke and has clearly put in her 10,000 hours and then some respectfully. It was a dry rub fried chicken wing with spicy chili flakes or chili powder rubbed underneath and/or on top of the wing itself which was fried and coated to perfection I was impressed thoroughly to say the least. This was the sleeper and highlight our orders. We also ordered last but not least the chicken pad Thai which was flavorful and the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place can't say it enough five stars is a minimum! By the way and oh yes please try the Thai Iced Tea and Coconut Water for good measure to wash down your meal. Run don't walk to try out this new gem in the neighborhood and tell them Blanco sent you lol! Tell a friend to tell a friend it's them again yummy!“
“Stumbled upon this amazing Michelin star spot for my husband's birthday. It's the perfect place to have a group dinner with all the family style dishes. Spice us on point, and the curries were full of flavor. I think we tried everything on the menu, and there isn't a single thing I would not get again.“
“This is a Thai run restaurant that combines a shabu shabu (hot pot) with Thai flavors. It is easy to miss as it is located on the second floor above a standard Thai restaurant. It is all you can eat and was reasonably priced at $24.99 a person. Overall, this is an interesting fusion place to try, though it is not without flaws. In terms of a shabu shabu, their selection of meats and vegetables is actually more basic than a normal one. The meats you can choose from include such standard items like beef, pork, chicken, some organ meats, and fish, squid, clam, and shrimp. The vegetables are on the side and were also relatively minimal in selection. A typical shabu shabu would have at least double the amount of items offered, but this place is much smaller. However, they are unique in that they offer Thai flavored broths for boiling. You can choose from a tom saap soup (lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves) or jaew hon (basil, shallot). We tried both soup bases and they were both very flavorful. As other reviews have mentioned, they also have an extremely delicious (though very salty) garlic fried rice, which you can help yourself to next to the vegetables and which is also unlimited.“
“Truly an excellent dining experience with a beautifully curated menu and all of the delicacies you’d expect. They make the steamed egg right in front of you and it tastes AMAZING!!! The speakeasy aspect makes it perfect for a quiet, elevated meal in a cozy setting/atmosphere. Non-pretentious, quality dining.“
“This place is just around the corner from where I live and we decided to try it. The place is very quiet, not too busy yet because this is new. We ordered like 6-7 types of dishes and we almost finish everything! The food tastes really good! The place is clean and the service is fast. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.“
“Recommended by a Thai friend for its authenticity and desserts. Was not disappointed. The food was so good I had to stop eating multiple times to enjoy the flavors. Service is amazing and it's a really cute place for lunch too. Definitely would come again.“
“Chang Pai Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with a diverse menu of authentic Asian cuisine. Manager Momotha ensures top-notch service and a welcoming atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is attentive. Whether you're craving traditional Thai dishes or exploring new flavors, Chang Pai is a must-visit dining destination.“
“Number of times I've been here: Countless of times over the years. I had lunch here today and ordered off the lunch special menu: shrimp with lobster sauce with brown rice that comes with a free egg drop soup. I liked the sauce's thickness unlike some other places where the sauce is a little watery. It had good flavor, as opposed to being bland. I like how this restaurant offers brown rice, giving me the illusion that I'm getting my daily fiber. I've ordered delivery from them many times, and their highlights include their thai menu, beef with broccoli, general tso's chicken, seafood pan fried (delicious), crab rangoon, and spring rolls (crunchy and tasty). I like the "clean" quality of their food. However, a few weeks ago, I tried their general tso's fish, and I wasn't impressed with it for being too saucy with little fish portions. The chicken version is the way to go. They offer a thai menu and it's great. Their pad thai noodles are different and I'd choose those thin and less greasy noodles, peppered with peanuts, over lo mein. The restaurant itself is dark and appears grimey, but that's how all Chinese takeout look like. At the very least, I see that A grade on the window. Just don't mind the roar of the elevated J train outside if you're dining in... or drop the fork and cover your ears. The staff are friendly and I make sure to say goodbye to them before I leave. Don't worry... you'll see me again very soon. Four stars... I really like this place. Will I return? Yes. Golden Kitchen is my go-to place for Chinese takeout.“
