“Hidden gem in Long Beach! Cash only. They care about what they put out so the chef comes up to your and asks you how your meal is going. The waitress drea is our favorite. Very attentive and does her job excellently. Food is ALWAYS out of this world. The menu changes so don't go off this post but everything in the review was amazing. They have the best stake tartare around. The wine is always top tier. Very small but not in a bad way. Very homey and cute.“
“This place has definitely become a fan favorite for my bf & I ! We’ve been coming in every Saturday after work for the past few weeks now & the staff has noticed us as the new Saturday night regulars lolThe food is amazing ? Their French onion soup & baked clams are a must !!We’ve been trying to order different entrees when we come in, so we can find our favorites but it’s so hard when you like one dish already ?We also highly recommend the delicious desserts !!We always enjoy sitting at the bar when we go out to eat & our bartender Austin is great ! He is a skilled bartender that can craft you a perfect cocktail with just the right amount of conversation lolWe’re always greeted warmly by all the staff, it feels like a tight group ??We’ve been meaning to try this place out for sometime now, so we’re happy that we finally did!“
“Just went for the first time in December, but I've been there 3 times since. Easily my new favorite diner the food is really good and the service is great as well. According to my 6 year old son, it's a 5 star restaurant because he loves the bacon! I do agree, though it's a very nice little diner. Excellent burgers and French toast, fresh black and white cookies for dessert and great milkshakes!“
“I had a very delicious French onion soup and an order of sliders, that were very filling. The service was very good. Each waitress who came by smiled and said hi ?. There was a small party in the backyard. It looks like a great venue to host an event. I would go back!“
“Overall we had a really nice time and the food was good. The waitress we had was fantastic and super attentive and nice. I was a bit disappointed in the wine selection and the fact that they didn't have any wine available on a Friday was odd.“
“Everything I've had here has been highly enjoyable and well executed, as far as mexican goes. Just one caveat is their prices have really hit some kind of next level high, compared to other places on LI I frequent. Bar is always friendly with people to chat. I would probably bring a girl here for lunch or something.“
“One of the staples of Long Beach. Real cool, retro, beachy sports bar with good food. Billy is the man and he's always around. Bartenders are always friendly. They serve food late. Big round bar with all the tv's and games on. Menu is diverse, they got tex Mex stuff, awesome wings, burgers, tidbits. They have sandwiches and quesadillas and other entrees. Great place to go catch a game and have wings and beers or just go out to eat and have a laid back quality meal.“
“Went into this inconspicuous looking restaurant to find myself in love with the place. Great music, proper tables with tablecloth, silverware and real glasses!! (I can't believe I actually need to write this as a positive instead of it being normal)We got there for the happy hour special, and the drinks and snacks were amazing. The staff was very friendly and fun and the service was excellent. Decided to go later that evening for dinner and was even happier with the full meal, which was a great size for what we paid. Received true value for everything we got!!Definitely recommend stopping by here if you're in the area!“
“A fun restaurant in Long Beach. Great food... we had the breakfast quesadilla, pesto chicken sand. and avocado toast and all were delicious. The wait staff are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly with ample parking on the avenue. It's our go to in LB.“
“I had a reservation for 5 people on a Monday evening in early November, and when we got there found out that the restaurant was going to close that day but opened up just to serve us rather than cancel. I was a little skeptical that the owner could be host, wait staff, bus staff, and cook and still get us in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time, but boy were we all impressed! The dinner went off without a hitch, we had wonderful food served up in a timely fashion, some complimentary hot apple cider on the cold evening and even some free desserts to taste in honor of the birthday of one of our party! Fantastic customer service under trying conditions, which we really appreciated, and everyone swore to come back another time! Based on the prices you might expect an upscale environment, but while it was comfortable it was pretty bare-bones inside.“
“First try was for an early breakfast delivery.. all was fresh, delicious and hot!We Liked it so much we visited in person and are super impressed with the food, staff and atmosphere. They’re more than bar food. Looking forward to more visits for beach season!“
“Kristal was our wonderful and gracious server whom we now love! The whole experience was rewarding and at the appropriate rice point. Well made drinks and a varity of wine and beer available. On a cold day, the gas fireplace creates a perfect setting for dinner. My ny strip was perfect with the additional grilled asparagus to compliment the main dish. My partner had the snapper. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and we were surprised when kristal brought over a complimentary serving of champagne for us. Roc Olive is a must for anyone and everyone!“
“Food exceptional but music is horrendous and relentless. Food is worth making a trip for, and the restaurant design is lovely, as is the lighting. With the right music, people would be arriving in limos from out of town. But this music is like average adult contemporary (think “smooth operator” with a boom-chk-boom-chk added in around the 4th measure on every song. It’s relentless, and if you’re conscious of music it’s like sitting next to an open garbage. It turns what could be a legendary restaurant into an average pub. Sorry for the chef, because he/she/they are brilliant. The management seems clueless, by contrast“
“I loved coming here with my boyfriend. He got a chicken and steak wrap and I got sopa de res. I LOVED THE SOUP. The short rib was so tender, the broth was so flavorful, and there was veggies galore. My bf and I also shared a cup of coffee - I could tell they brewed it for us because it couldn’t have been fresher. I never drink coffee without milk but it was so good I skipped the milk. The vibe was cheerful with large groups of people there to watch the soccer game (we went on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for lunch I can’t remember). It wasn’t too rowdy at all for it being a restaurant and bar. I am going to be going back frequently.“
“We only knew of this place as being a crowded, busy watering hole since the last time we were here, it was Irish Day, which is a HUGE, loud, partying event in this part of town and The Inn was wall-to-wall filled with revelers then. At this visit, we had the whole 2-floor restaurant to ourselves. Service was slow but friendly. A few people came in later & you could tell that The Inn is a comfortable, neighborhood kind of place. Our meals of Chicken parmesan and mango shrimp tacos were excellent. We are glad that The Inn has multiple personalities and we will be back for its excellent food.“
“I just recently hosted a retirement party here for my parents, and it truly could not have been a better experience. From first contact to the day of the event, Matt was so responsive and receptive to my requests. It was a seamless and stress free planning process, which made planning a surprise party so much easier. We did cocktail style passed appetizers, which were all delicious and plentiful for our about 60 person party! The wait and bar staff was so kind and helpful as well!! Everyone had a fantastic time and my parents had a retirement party to remember! Additional bonus was how convincing the host was about bringing us to our table (grabbing 6 menus and then going to check that our table was ready), my parents were clueless that there was a party for them until the second the doors opened!“
