There were mixed reviews on the food:Pros: the salad, chicken & pancakes, breakfast platter, apple cider mimosasCons: shrimp & grits, biscuits, bacon.I would put the food rating lower but the people I dined with enjoyed their food so much more than I did. The service was pretty good.Kid-friendliness: The have an indoor spot for strollers and have high chairs.”

The brisket was great they have you a LOT for the filling. The mile enchiladas were okay (4/5) - the mole sauce was good but the chicken inside was very chewy.”

The squid ink pasta had a nice kick and good amount of shrimp. The zuppa de pesce special had a lot of seafood with a nice tomato base. Stuffed mushrooms very tasty. The portions were plentiful. For dessert we had the warm molten chocolate cake. And the coffee - strong with a rounded flavor - delicious! I will return again and again. It gets quite loud especially when the doors/windows are closed. I'd love to come back in the summer when it's all opened up.”

We tried the nasi lemak and it was fresh, authentic, and honestly hard to match outside of Malaysia. Very well done Kesh and team. We went back 2 more times on different days to eat it. My wife and I highly recommend.”

Once we walked in and noticed that there seemed to be a lot of “regulars” that knew the staff, we knew were in a good place! The food and service is fantastic. Everything that we had was full of flavor and melted in your mouth. We started with the stuffed green plantains with shredded beef and then had the Lechon Asado con mojo criollo and Rib eye steak with a side of sweet plantains. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They were very appreciative of our compliments. The only thing we regret is not going in there sooner!side note: the skirt steak must be very good because 5/6 people next to us ordered it for their dinner!”

Their drink menu is amazing and the Lychee Martini is heavenly! Most importantly the portion great for the reasonably priced items. I would either take a cab or subway. The music is great, they have great deals on their drinks and food for happy hour. The place is very clean and very well organized. The aesthetic is amazing too super great for pictures! And if youre sitting at the bar youll meet the greatest bartender ever, Francisco!!!! Hes the best, has great energy, Makes great drinks and gives great recommendations on drinks when we’re indecisive. Francisco is the real reason we love it there so much! :) overall great place!”

Service was courteous, fast, and excellent, we were seated immediately and given refreshments. We got the family combo, and each bite was perfection. Every kebab, especially the chicken tikka and lamb shank was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Their kabuli pulao is also 10/10, some of the best I’ve had hands down! You can tell the owner takes real pride in what they do! It’s in an excellent neighborhood and I think everyone should come by and try this place. Worth every single penny spent, and I can’t stop recommending it enough. You’ve won our hearts Sami’s Kabab House, and we will definitely be back!! ❤️”

The seasonings were perfect and not overly spiced, the plate was affordable and filling, and it came out fast. The restaurant is like a banquet style setup so good for casual dinners or celebrations, it is a little bit of a smaller space though.Highly recommend this spot!”

Never got bored of their food, I've been ordering every time after I finished classes since the begining of the year.”

Their service and care about items shipped is better than anyone I have dealt with past present and probably future.My sister wanted to order a Lamington cakes for my birthday. Brian made sure I was shipped what my sister had ordered; the six individual cakes that are wrapped(I thought it was the cake). However, UPS in their divine wisdom, deemed it necessary to ship them on a scenic tour. They didn't arrive on time for my birthday but that was NO FAULT of the bakery's. I want that to be perfectly clear. I reached out to Brian and while I was disappointed that I wouldn't get them on time he was so kind and empathetic that I couldn't stay upset for long. Again, I thought it was the regular cake and not the individual ones. Brian said he would ship replacements but once I saw they were the individual ones and confirmed they were still fine to eat, I was happy, my sister was happy, all was well. But Brian wasn't having it, he was unhappy that UPS failed us both. Imagine my surprise when a few days later I received another box of the Lamington cakes! I was not expecting that. I was perfectly fine with the outcome but Brian again is an amazing person and he didn't appreciate that this was a representation of his bakery by UPS's failings. So now I have plenty of Lamington cakes and they are freezable so I put a few away so I can enjoy them later.As far as being true Lamington cake like the original in Australia, it took me right back to Adelaide where I had my very first one! Oh my goodness they're so good! And did I mention they're gluten-free?!I cannot thank Brian and Sans Bakery enough for making my Unbirthday amazing and tickling my palette enough that I sent pictures to my cousin in Melbourne Australia taunting her a little. “Grew up in Queens eating Singas Pizza from the 1980’s to 2000, then moved to the Hudson Valley. Happen to be in Queens with the family and decided to have them savor the Sjngas that I grew up eating. The personal pizzas of which they have many different topping variations has just the right thickness and crispy crust. The tomato sauce and cheese are just perfect with the crust. Every bit of flavor was just as I remembered and my family all agreed and enjoyed every bit of it. Singas has many different locations throughout NY and they all have the same consistent amazing taste. This location is inside a supermarket and it’s part of their food court so the ambience is just as you would expect from a food court.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian toppings.”

“Hi, I'm Trish,I live right up the block from Kate’s Corner Cafe. I have known her since she graced Astoria & Long Island City with delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches and omelet platters. Every time I go there, I order everything so mouthwatering that I want to order for three or four people. Very professional personalities are great there. Everyone who works there is exemplary. Kate is very down-to-earth, warmhearted, and friendly to everyone she needs. The music is great, they have great deals on their drinks and food for happy hour. The place is very clean and very well organized. The aesthetic is amazing too super great for pictures! And if youre sitting at the bar youll meet the greatest bartender ever, Francisco!!!! Hes the best, has great energy, Makes great drinks and gives great recommendations on drinks when we’re indecisive. Francisco is the real reason we love it there so much! :) overall great place!”

“OVERALL: great pizza, cute shop. Gets the job done I was in town for the weekend and craving pizza. Luckily I came across Slice and it did not disappoint. The pizzas were on display so I could see everything that was available and consider some I would have never otherwise tried. I got the green pizza (artichoke I think) and the buffalo chicken pizza. My only regret was not getting more. I would recommend they expand their canned soda selection. I was hoping for a Dr. Pepper but they only had coke and sprite!”

“Coffee was good and my wife enjoyed her cocktail. We never seen black salt on a drink. The staff was nice but they did take a little long to cut a piece of cake and banana loaf. The carrot cake was great but the banana loaf was not so much. Tasted bland and burnt but I doubt they made it to order. Needless to say I finished ever crumb of my cake and only one bite was taken out of that “loaf.” Otherwise cool place would be back to see how the evenings are”

“I went in and got carded at the door. The guy checking ID was friendly. His name I believe was Orlando. He recommended that I sit at the bar, and try a loaded hotdog. It was good. Try their mustard. I'm not really a fan of mustard, but theirs is pretty good. The beer is on tap, and all are local/craft beers. I didn't wait long to get a lane. I would recommend this place as a nice chill spot. Bring a friend, or a date. Either way you'll have fun.”

The brisket was great they have you a LOT for the filling. The mile enchiladas were okay (4/5) - the mole sauce was good but the chicken inside was very chewy.”
