The toasted bun has a slight buttery crust filled with fresh juicy lobster. This is my kind of food but it wasn't filling enough for him.

This is a great place for a fast, but good, comfort food meal in a very casual setting. Great for children or large groups. Limited menu, but the ingredients are good. Friendly and efficient staff. Prices are fair, but not low.

We visit NYC frequently. It has been four years since I reviewed Luke’s in the Plaza. The LOBSTER ROLLS ARE SIMPLY THE BEST food item in the food court. Always a treat to return and find the quality and service remains excellent at a establishment, especially in a Food Court.

There’s a lot of joy to be had in a lobster roll. Priding themselves on the fact that they work directly with fishermen to pick out the best seafood, Luke knows a thing or two about lobster. Unable to decide at The Plaza Food Hall, I went for The Luke’s Trio – 1/2 crab, 1/2 lobster, 1/2 shrimp and preceded that with clam chowdah. All the meat are well-chilled, fresh and tender; they melt in your mouth along with the butter, which is flavorful but not overpowering It’s big on flavours and it’s huge on joy. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

My girlfriends and I just got one to share to try it. I wish I would have had one to myself! One of the best things I tried when we were there!

Luke's is located in the plaza food hall in the basement of the Plaza Hotel. The Hall itself is very inviting and filled with many choices of upscale food fast. It's location is perfect for lunch before heading into central park. I chose Luke's because,I LOVE LOBSTER ROLLS! I've had lobster rolls all over Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and now, New York. Luke's was right up there with the best. Buttery toasted roll filled to the top with delicious lobster. No added fillers just perfectly seasoned lobster. I added a cup of lobster bisque which was also wonderful and had plenty of chunk lobster in the bisque. Luke's is not fancy; your food is served in disposable containers. Don't let that dissuade you from enjoying a great roll.

I stopped in for a respite from the oppressive heat. The lounge is directly off of the lobby of the Central Park South hotel entrance. It is quintessential Ritz Carlton decor. We only ordered drinks and they were excellent. What this review is about is the service and hospitality. The waiters and bar tender were so very inviting and unpretentious (you’re already at the Ritz Carlton, so nothing to prove on their part - smooth confidence exuded). The experience was so unexpectedly pleasant, as I only stopped in for a drink and to pause from the summer heat. You will not be disappointed; this Ritz Carlton property has successfully crafted premium luxury with hospitality. See for yourself.

Located at the basement of Plaza Hotel lust cross street from southern end of the Central Park. There are multiple food vendors there. The lobster roll was good but I enjoyed the ginger beer very much. A bit pricey probably because of the lobster.

My perfect lobster roll includes no mayo or anything else to cover up the actual flavor of lobster. Lukes does the perfect job of seasoning with their very tasty spice blend, and the buttered roll is just right. Keeping it simple is what makes this sandwich so delicious. It's pricy and not filling, but I combat that with getting a crab roll as well, which is a bit less expensive. The two rolls make for a nice light meal.

The Star Lounge is being remodeled at the moment until May 2019. I was very disappointed because it was suppose to be a nice and beautiful ambiance that overlooks the Central Park. Instead, Star Lounge is temporarily located by the front entrance of the hotel which isn’t too nice. Dark, nothing romantic let alone impressive. Don’t come until the actual place is done with its remodeling. The food is pretty good but the size is a bit smaller than a bite size (see pix). Size needs improvement. Had afternoon tea at Ritz Carlton in Malaysia and wasn’t good (see my review) so I was very skeptical coming here. I love their matching teapots and cups. Beautiful!

Recently renovated the Star Lounge is even more beautiful than it was before. The perfect place to meet a special friend for a drink or light meal and especially for their afternoon tea.
