We ordered the 5-6 meal and 2 appetizers. And it was Plenty for everyone. Half way thru the meal my 10yr old leans over and tells me. "This is the best night of my life." He's a foodie. “My wife's German grandma loves this place, and often treats us to the family style special. The food is good (certainly the best BBQ you can get in NYC) and the service is always excellent. It does tend to get busy and loud, sometimes louder than is comfortable, but it's always a good time. We went once for lunch, and since it wasn't as busy, that was the best experience we had there. Prices are pretty good, especially for Manhattan. Always have a great time here and love to get good BBQ even this far north!Kid-friendliness: A bit loud for kids, but they put out a coloring page with crayons. There are a few racy pictures on the wall, but they're high up in the corner and my 4 year old didn't notice. She's too focused on the excellent mac and cheese“

We started making bites with layers of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a piece of brisket w/their delicious sauce on top of their homemade tortilla chip, and to top it off, we would add a calbee hokkaido butter chip so both sides would be crunchy with savory gooey perfection in between. We ordered the regular kalbi, jidori chicken, kimchi sampler, Futago salad and stone pot garlic rice. It was a lot of food for two people so we took part of it home. It was nice because at first we were nervous about cooking the meat ourselves but our wait person said he would do it. After that, we felt able to cook the rest. The meat was very tender and tasty, the salad light and delicious, and the kimchi and rice were sensational. It really was a nice mix of Korean and Japanese. We discovered the two owners were Koreans who grew up in Japan. The service was really great- friendly and helpful without being intrusive, My daughter also ordered a lychee cocktail and said that it was very good as well.“

“Always love hotpot. Lao Jie is always great. We usually eat at the one in Brooklyn but we were in the city and wanted to try it out. They have more options on the menu as opposed to the Brooklyn locations. I always go for the shrimp paste that’s my favorite. The service is very good and helpful. If you plan on going there is a discount with cash but they do accept credit card. When we went it was lunch on a weekday so there weren’t many people. Very clean and very quiet. You wouldn’t think that you were eating in the city“

“The skewers weren't too spicy when eating them but definitely leaves a numbing feeling after. My favorite was the pork skewers. The chicken hearts imo weren't as fresh as I'd like them, but my fiance said they were good.Me and my fiance found this place on Google maps. People had posted that the couple who runs the cart opens at 5pm. We went on a Sunday and they were running a little late. They got there around 5:30pm but was able to get the cart up and running fairly quickly so we didn't have to wait long after they put the food on. It's cash only.“

“Quick and easy lunch, waited for about 5-10mins before food was ready. I had the sesame steak which was flavoured nicely, I would happily eat it without the sauce but didn’t because their sauce is great! Portion size good, value for money as there is a good amount of meat included. Staff were also friendly when served.“

“I ordered the Mushroom Adobo Bowl online with a topping of BBQ tofu and thoroughly enjoyed it.The mushrooms seem nicely sautéed along with jasmine rice steamed better than most places produce. The pickled radish and seasoned string beans are chilled and add a nice contrast in texture and temperature to the meal. The tofu was of the very soft variety with a mild flavor, which went well with the dish. It’s also worth noting that menu does include meat and fish options if you’re looking for them but I was surprised how satisfied I waswith the fish as a whole. The responsible packaging and cutlery is also a nice touch. Definitely a thoughtful place overall. The atmosphere in the shop is clean, spacious, and well-lit in a way that suggests you’re supposed to take-out instead of dine in.All in all, I plan to come back and try all they have to offer.“

“I have been coming to Pig Heaven for years. It’s one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in NYC. Everything I have had here is amazing! While I love their specialties, roast pork spare ribs and roast pork butt, their veggie dishes are equally fantastic. My go-to’s are their wonton soup, soup dumplings, prawns with broccoli, and roast pork fried rice.Service is fantastic! Mandy is “the mayor” she knows everyone and greets one with a warm welcome and attentive care. Everybody loves Mandy, she is the sweetest. Everyone who works here is kind, friendly, and helpful. You know the food is good when you eat a huge meal, but you’re also looking at everyone else’s plates for future inspiration.I’m grateful for Pig Heaven!!“

“The staff was really attentive. It's expensive but understandable because it's in korea town. Overall, I enjoyed it and had a good time.Kid-friendliness: They had a high chair for my toddler, which I always appreciate. The staff noticed my kid almost nocked the water and slowly mooved it. As a tired parent, I appreciate that.“

“This spot was amazing.! I got the pulled pork sandwich to go and I did have to assemble it myself. I personally didn’t mind the pork was really tender and juicy so if they would’ve assembled a sandwich for me, by the time I picked it up, it would be very soggy, I appreciate the thought behind the takeout. next time will have to try dirty fries“
