Their fried chicken karaage was so juicy, tender, and perfectly fried! We enjoyed both the original and hot honey nanban flavors. The latter doesn’t really taste like hot honey but rather has a Mayo drizzle, furikake, and jalapeños, which was still delicious. We also ordered their ramen and chicken sando (it tastes just like their hot honey nanban karaage with bread and a few pickled radishes), which were both good as well.

discovered Bessou via an promotional event. tbh, i didn't realize Market 57, a food hall, existed inside Pier 57. Bessou is a casual Japanese comfort food spot--serving a small variety of karaage (Jap ế fried chicken), sandwiches, and other savory eats. ended up ordering the Bessou fried chicken club sando -- fried chicken, bacon, slaw, and pickled Daikon on a roll. the fried chicken is crunchy, seasoned subtly, and tender. bacon is thick and crunchy ftw! the slaw and daikon...read full review

This is within the market on Pier 47, and there are any number of great little food places here. But all the other places. For this right fresh and a nice pills left from the Harlem brewery was great with a meal.
