The food itself is a bit underwhelming— it’s hard to keep up when there’s so many other great French spots in NYC to compare it to. But the ambiance is super quaint and location is great.

It was a Saturday night at 8:30 when we walked in I was created very nicely. We got a seat right away by the window. The service was very attentive. My husband ordered steak Frites, and I had the codfish. Both dishes were delicious and cooked to perfection. For drinks I husband had a classic margarita was done. Well, I had A Valintini martini with cherry juice and lime. We were so happy with our experience there that we told the manager that we loved the restaurant and would be back.

Came here with the girls for galentines day. It was a bit cramped but they were so thoughtful with roses for each person and balloons. The food was amazing but the special valentines menu was under par. Main menu was much better and great food overall. Drinks were also awesome.

Ambience has a kind of rustic, old world charm. Excellent, friendly service personnel. Food was hardy and ample, simply served. Wine--Montepulciano and Riesling were our selections--was very good. Overall a nice value.

Honestly, there was just nothing particularly special about this place. The service and atmosphere were pretty good, but the food was honestly really bland for such an expensive night out. When you can get better tasting food from a fast casual place for $15-20/person, there's little reason to go here instead.

Best French Onion Soup I've ever had! Also, the Lobster Risotto was delicious. Came here on a long weekend trip and this place sounded great and definitely lived up to expectations. Even with all the food options this area has to offer, would definitely come back again!

We have been dining at Bistro Les Amis since it opened 25 years ago. Over the years we always receive a warm welcome from Roy & Debbie, Syed, Ricardo, Karla and Ben. Staff are very accommodating with any special requests you may have. Food and ambience outstanding! The Clarks from Toronto

This is by far my favorite little gem in the city. I discovered this place back in 2001 and anytime I'm back in NY I make certain to return. The food has been consistently amazing all these years! If Oliver is making your mixed drinks, they will be ?, without a doubt absolutely delicious!!!!!!!

It was our first visit to Bistro Les Amis to celebrate my son's 21st birthday and it exceeded expectations. The service by Kala was excellent and the ambience was very warm and welcoming. All mixed drinks and dishes were delightful as we enjoyed oysters, escargot, onion soup, coq au vin, quail special, chicken paillard, hanger steak, profiteroles & apple tarts tatin. The surprise birthday candle on my son's chocolate lava cake was a very sweet surprise. We look forward to another great dining experience in the near future.

Best french cuisine in lower Manhattan! The onion soup is excellent and Coq Au Vin is out of this world.

Arrogance far outweighs the quality in this restaurant. We were probably unlucky, but the meat was tough, the lobster roll (and cheese...) inedible and the foie gras indigestible. We also ordered a $20 glass of Bordeaux to find ourselves drinking something that was a cross between a tavernello and a vino de li castelli. An astronomical bill and the latent feeling of having been cheated, with after-effects of nocturnal heaviness. Among so many restaurants in the area, it was a bit of a disappointment, honestly I wouldn't recommend a friend of mine to go there.
