I think the mid tier meats were good but not worth, but the really high end expensive ones are worth the expensive single bites/.

Beautiful space and great food. Scored a super last minute reservation on Resy but it usually books out so plan ahead. The meats and sides were sooo good. We got the Butcher’s Feast and added wagyu. We also got Kimchi Wagyu “Paella” which was amazing too. Everything was soooo worth it and tasty. It was my birthday trip to NYC so the waiter brought out super yummy soft serve with caramel on top!Highly recommend checking this place out if you get the chance! I think the wait can be long (tons of people standing around when we were leaving). They do open late though so maybe it depends. This is definitely one of my favorite KBBQ places now (despite being spoiled with LA KBBQ places).

IMHO this place is too hyped. I waited so long to be able to get a reservation and while the cuts of meat weren't bad, overall the ban chan, the soups, etc is mediocre compared to other great Korean BBQ spots. Is it worth giving it a try? Sure. Will I be going back? Probably not anytime soon.

From the moment we stepped into its elegant ambiance, we knew we were in for something special. Our evening commenced with flawless service, led by Noor, the restaurant manager, and her exceptional team. Despite a minor hiccup with our seating arrangements, Noor promptly addressed it, reflecting the team's commitment to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction throughout the evening. Her unparalleled hospitality shone through, ensuring every aspect of our dining experience was meticulously attended to, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary adventure. Now, let's delve into the culinary masterpiece that is COTE. Each dish presented to us was a symphony of flavors and textures, meticulously crafted by the talented chefs. From the comforting richness of the stew to the vibrant freshness of the salad, each bite was a revelation. The appetizers, including the decadent caviar, were immaculate and left us craving for more. However, the true star of the evening was the Butcher's Feast, a carnivore's dream brought to life. The A5 Japanese wagyu, in particular, surpassed all expectations, its melt-in-your-mouth perfection a testament to the culinary excellence that defines COTE.In conclusion, our dining experience at COTE was nothing short of extraordinary. Great food, ambiance, and service! My family flew into NYC and had reservations at 9:30PM. Having two small kids, the service was top notch and accommodating. The entrance led to a bar and the server asked my kids if they wanted juice and offered me a tequila. Yes please! After being seated, we ordered some appetizers (beef tartare with beef tendon puffs, oysters with Uni) and the A5 Butcher Feast with American Wagyu. The server provided commentary on the different cuts of beef and grilled every piece to perfection! This was my daughters’ first Michelin restaurant experience and they loved the food! Thank you for making this a great experience for my family.

This place doesn’t mess around. A little pricey — but just go for the $70 dinner set and you’ll be fine and full.

I was there a year or so ago and it was better. Now there were a lot of problems. The table was not ready for half an hour after the booking time, the cocktails are all watered down (if you keep the gin and ice for a martini together for 2-3 minutes before shaking - the ice will obviously melt in the gin). The alcohol markup, in general, is very high. There was some very loud music during dinner (someone suggested that they do that to make the gusts finish dinner faster).Regarding the food - the steak omakase is not worth it compared to the butcher's feast. So avoid the omakase and get the butcher's feast with some extra meat if you want. The oysters in the omakase were old and very fishy, unpleasant to eat. We also had some oysters before and they were quite bad then too. So avoid the oysters and the seafood in general there. Just get the beef. The American Wagyu was excellent. Their signature short ribs are marinated in a sweet, fruity marinade, which i don't particularly like, compared to the other meats. The beef tartare was so-so. The noodles with anchovy broth and beef slices were excellent. The people who grill your meat are very nice. The whole thing, though, feels very much like they are trying to maximize the profits at the expense of everything else.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Big props to our grill master and server who really made the entire thing truly great. He cooked everything perfectly and even had suggestions on what temperatures to cook each variety too, and what characteristics and flavors at the various temperatures to look for. We started with the tuna appetizer, a couple of shrimp cocktail and 2 cocktails. The cocktail sauce was super good, the tartare was good but also not the best. We did the butchers feast and added wagyu. Wow! Definitely check out Cote if you haven't been.

Overall the food is great but it was a bit difficult to agree with the waiter on how cooked medium meat should be which is tragic since this meat is really expensive. Thankfully they offered a replacement but I don't remember if they charged us for it. If you receive the meat the way you want it, it is beyond delicious. The overall experience is also nice and you get a lot of food and all sides also taste nice.

When I saw Cote by my job it sounded interesting, I love Korean BBQ and I love steakhouses, but Cote just takes it to another level. My wife knew I wanted to go so she managed to book a reservation for my birthday (reservations for a normal dinner time are difficult to get, especially for two.)I'm so glad we ended up here, we ordered the butcher's feast as well as the Korean bacon (a thick cut of pork belly with pickled jalapenos and what tasted like a horseradish mayo.) We also saw they had Mr Black in the "proper" espresso martini so my wife ordered one on those and I ordered the frozen pina colada. The drinks arrived first and I easily had one of the best frozen pina coladas I've ever tasted, and the espresso martini was also delicious and served in a sort of narrower martini glass, which made it much easier to drink. The Korean bacon with pickled jalapenos came out shortly after and was great, not too fatty, it had a great crust on it and it went well with the jalapenos and sauce. The butcher's feast was easily well worth the price, the meal started with a beef broth served in a small tea cup and it was a good indicator of the quality of food that we were about to eat. When we saw the butcher block of meat come out we were worried it might not be enough food, but by the end when I was finished I couldn't eat another bite of steak. The dry aged ribeye stood out as a favorite, and the supplemental A5 Wagyu had a rich kind of "butter steak" flavor to it, I definitely couldn't eat an entire steak like that but it's something everyone should try some small cuts of once in their lives. The two stews it came with were phenomenal, and we couldn't pick a favorite between the two, it was always whichever one we last tasted. I also really loved the egg souffle, I've never had it before but it was so light and airy, with just the right amount of butter. There's also an assortment of pickled and fermented vegetables, delicious kimchi, and the meal concluded with soft serve vanilla with a soy sauce caramel. I'm not sure why I thought I'd be disappointed by it when I saw it being served, it was the best soft serve I've ever had. My wife gave me her portion (she's lactose intolerant) as I went to use the bathroom, and when I returned she had taken it back and eaten half of it. It was just so good.I look forward to coming back here again, I'll probably try the steak omakase next time, or just have a few delicious cocktails with some steak and eggs.

Wow. What can I even say about this place. We did the steak omakase and can’t recommend it enough. Each piece of steak is cooked to perfection but yet, each piece was better than the last. Laszio was our server and he gives the best recs. You have to trust the process with him - he’s a magician of his craft. Highly

This place is worth every penny. Wow. The service, the drinks (recommend the frozen pina colada)… and the meat! We had the butchers feast. Each type of meat was better than the last. I also highly recommend the tuna tartare and the bacon sides. It’s also such a good choice for a larger table, with the communal meat cooked at your table vibe. Honestly, I think most NYC restaurants are over hyped and overpriced. COTE is the opposite.
