“My partner and I came after a tough workout recently on a Saturday afternoon, as Revelie had been on our radar for a few months! The wait wasn't terribly long at 3:30 (we waited about 30 min outside, though it was cold). The food was tasty and good quality, I liked the chopped cheese the most. Fun diner feel too! There was a minor holdup to actually get the food, but definitely worth it once we actually got to try it. Would recommend!“
“Amazing, uncomplicated food that's tasty and really good value. The challah bread is particularly good, and I love the potato soup. It's also a very welcoming place to eat if you're on your own - just take a seat at the counter!“
“Such a brilliant idea seeing your waiters and waitresses take turns to sing amazing songs to the patrons whilst they eat their meals. A very good concept that also helps the artists too by raising money to support anyone struggling financially so they can pursue their dream of making it in the Big Apple. We made a special effort to go and queue up hoping to get a table and relieved the queue wasn't too bad. Enjoyed the whole thing very much. Thank you for the experience. Hope to see you next time I'm in New York from the UK.“
“We stumbled upon this diner on a quick overnight trip to NYC. It’s everything we were looking for, delicious food made quick with excellent service. The owner at the front was greeting everyone like old friends and you could just feel the sense of community. He seemed to know most people by name. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT sandwich for lunch. They were both excellent. Would definitely recommend. 10/10!“
“Discovered yet another gem of a diner in NY, and it's safe to say it's quickly become one of my favorites. The Apple Caramel Crumb Tart and toast were beyond words, simply legit and delicious. It's one of those places that keeps pulling you back in, making you fall in love with it a little more each visit. But the real surprise was the Egg Cream, served up in a delightful vanilla flavor. Contrary to what I initially thought it might taste like (somewhere close to eggnog?), it was wonderfully creamy with a light, velvety, and slightly fizzy texture. The vanilla was hearty and present, making the drink resemble a toned-down milkshake. Absolutely loved it and it's apparently a must-try NY diner classic. The service was attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Although a bit more explanation about the Egg Cream would have been appreciated (it seemed so normal here that our server was a bit stuck on how to describe it), it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Definitely a spot worth checking out for anyone looking to enjoy some true diner delights in New York.Vegetarian options: There are some food items that doesn’t involve meatsDietary restrictions: I see those with difficulty with gluten will struggle hereKid-friendliness: Yes, kids will love the most of their offeringsWheelchair accessibility: It’s pretty special place the wheelchair shouldn’t be a problem“
“I got to sit as the “bar” of an old school diner! I loved every second of it.The atmosphere was great, it was busy but had this buzz of everyone chatting and having a good time. The food was exactly what I expected. I had the classic eggs Benny with Canadian bacon and was not disappointed.Highly recommend!Oh and the pies and cakes look amazing.“
“It's a cool old real NYC diner you can get full and not have to spend alot of money. The menu is huge. The place has some serious history you can feel it when you're inside lol and for that they get 5 stars from me❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️This is what'd you call a greasy spoon.Nice friendly staff. Always Happy to see it around??“
“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“
“Breakfast Burrito and Red Flannel Hash with chunks of real corned beef, not has out of a can, and low sodium) and cubed sweet potatoes and beets! Generous portions, very tasty food. Friendly service, innovative menu. And if you are staying in the very nearby Club Wyndham Midtown 45) you get a free 10% discount (after showing your room key).“
“Mama Jo is just an amazing human being. The breakfast hits right on the spot. Coffee is even more amazing. If you work near or around GC or are taking the train from/to GC around peak time morning’s - you need to stop by!Vegetarian options: Veggies can get the Greek Spinach Pie or Olive Bread“
“It's a diner and exactly what you would expect only no greasy spoons! It's clear the the owner hires cooks who love the food they prepare and the servers like being there.I didn't use the bathrooms but everything else seemed clean. We got the Reuben sandwich and Impossible burger with fries and onion rings.Fresh and hot with swift service and great portion sizes! The fries were hot but with lots of fry nuggets (underachieving bits smaller than my little finger). The onion rings were perfect as were the sandwiches. I added Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. We would definitely come back!Vegetarian options: Impossible burger“
“Had our breakfast here every day during our recent 5 day stay in NYC. Worth the wait some mornings. Friendly staff, especially Josie - beautiful, smiley, friendly and welcoming. Tasty, filling, great value for money breakfasts - set us up for the day.“
“A classic no frills diner, they had seating for my group of 5 immediately for 11 AM on a Saturday and was a really good price! I got the Spanish egg white omelette (which I still don't know what exactly was in it other than mushrooms and onions). It came with toast and home fries and although was a little on the oily side, was good and cheap! Quick service and hits the diner food itch.“
“Start your day right at "Sunrise Bites" in New York! This charming morning spot serves up a delightful breakfast experience with a side of positivity. From the warm greetings at the door to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, every detail is designed to kickstart your day with a smile. Their menu boasts delicious options ranging from fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets, all prepared with care. Friendly staff and cozy ambiance make Sunrise Bites a must-visit for a delightful morning in the city!“
“We were looking for an original diner in this area.We went in not sure the expert as going to be worth the price of seating for lunch in NYC.We were welcomed and served so professionally and nicely by Fernando & Luis much beyond our expectations. Food was fresh, served generously and with great care. The Cobb salad was judge and excellent (only missing some blue cheese to be perfect!), I finished it the day after.Dietary restrictions: Parler au chef cuisinier, très adaptable !“
“I go here with friends who live nearby; it's a staple. We all usually end up ordering the Souvlaki platter; they are a Greek diner, after all. It's always tasty, and the atmosphere is a typical diner; it's bright, clean, and busy. They trimmed their menu down a bit after COVID, but there is still something for everyone here, including picky eaters.“
“We had lunch here, and sat outside on a lovely fall day. Service was a bit funky -- not bad at all, but somewhat forgetful -- but the staff was friendly, apologetic when appropriate, and enjoyable. The food was very good. Classic old-style diner with a broad-ranging menu. Everything we had was well-prepared, tasty, and served hot. I'll go back. A little gem.“
“Top notch! I was skeptical of the high ratings since many of the places we've been to in Manhattan have been higher rated than I would give them but ZAZA'S has earned it. The turkey bacon was the best I've ever had and the French toast was divine. My husband also said it was 4.5 stars for him, the highest rating he voiced for any place we visited this trip.“
“First breakfast of our trip brought us to this diner afew blocks from our hotel. We were seated immediately and served straight away. We opted for the Sunday brunch which is available from 10am and at $22 per person, was value for money.Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting and in the area“
“The check in was a tad chaotic, even with a reservation, but it was a Sunday morning after all. However the Carnegie overcame my initial skeptical impression by offering excellent service with vast portions of food for a fair price in an expensive city. I would definitely return in the future.“
“Est. 1995Layout/atmosphere*Orange painted walls/yellow painted windows; mostly booths; bar in back with coffee station, wine bottles & cakes (no seating); enclosed outdoor dining area in front of entrance on sidewalk; tables out on sidewalk on Bethune StService*SolidFood/drink*Sunny Side Eggs on Focaccia (two eggs, turkey, avocado & arugula) - good; solid bread, runny egg, crunch of the arugula*Blueberry muffin - really good; came out still warm; soft but still some texture in each bite; no add-ons needed“
“What a fantastic diner. Super authentic with warm welcoming staff. All the things on the menu that you would hope and expect to be there. We ate waffles and pancakes with litres of maple syrup and crispy bacon- all washed down with chocolate milkshake and coffee. Definitely worth a trip!!! Walk off the calories with a leisurely walk to the Met museum or Central Park!!! Well done ME diner, you smashed it:)“
“Tucked away old school diner.Had breakfast 4 times.Service was super nice on the first two days.On the other two days also nice but a bit taciturn...The food was delicious, fresh and the portion size was completely OK.Pancakes were super tasty, as were the omelettes.Price ok for Manhattan. For 4 people, expect to pay $75-80 with tip.“
“The place was packed, the menu incredibly diverse and breakfast no matter what time. The portions were huge and the food was great. The wait staff was polite and covered up busy, the seating host moved like a commanding officer, very pleasant and found us a six top in no time. Iconic, classic place, well worth the visit.“
“I recently visited Tira Bakery Cafe and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a modern and clean decor that made me feel right at home. But the real star of the show was the food - I ordered the NYPD Burger and it was great. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and was juicy and full of flavor. The toppings were generously portioned and expertly balanced. The fries were cooked to a perfect golden brown, with just the right amount of crunch. The coffee was delicious. It was clear that the owners and staff at Tira Bakery Cafe take pride in their business, from the food to the service. The woman at the front greeted me warmly and made sure I had everything I needed, while the waiter was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back and try more of their delicious food. Enjoy!“
“Fantastic!!! This place is AWESOME. Food is delicious. Staff are super friendly. Seating is comfortable. Atmosphere is great. The manager is a genius for making people feel welcome: me; my friends; the other customers too. You can see it. It’s not just because I’m so cool. :^] It’s very very nice to come to a restaurant where there is so much quality and also so much in the way of personality. Top picks for me: -Romanian Steak (well worth the price) -Pancakes (incredible) Did I mention that the staff here is wonderful? Outgoing. Attentive. Yay!!“
“Sarge’s Delicatessen is one of my go-to spots in NYC. As a loyal customer, I can confidently attest to the exceptional quality of their pastrami, corned beef, and the matzo ball soup with noodles that always hits the spot. The portions at Sarges are incredibly generous and they consistently deliver on freshness and flavor. Whether dining in or opting for delivery, the food never fails to impress.A standout feature of Sarges Delicatessen is the outstanding service provided by Melissa, an employee who truly goes above and beyond. “Very pleasant diner experience, with good food and excellent service. Reasonable prices and all-day food items make this place an excellent option for dining in this area and a great value - There is something to eat for everyone.Vegetarian options: Lots of salads, cold items and pasta dishes. They also offer a veggie burger.“
“Walking into Jimbo’s Hamburger Place is less liking walking into a place than it is like walking into a hamburger. You inhale hamburger steam. You see through hamburger vapor. You are having a hamburger sauna. You’re engulfed by the greasy haze of decades of hamburger. You believe you’re getting a film. If you’re a fairly antiseptic person you will tell yourself to flee. But since you want a really good hamburger, you will tell yourself to sit. You will allow yourself to drift back into fifties luncheonette culture. You will be rewarded with “The Best Chopmeat Money Can Buy.”“
“Great neighborhood spot with standard fare. Definitely a spot worth checking out for breakfast/brunch. They are currently renovating/expanding part of their dining area so ESPRESSO DRINKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I would call ahead to see if they're back on the menu if it's a deal breaker for you. Good variety of food and super quick service no matter how packed it may be. They are also fairly accommodating if you need to adjust/remove an item from a dish or two.“
“Service was great at the New York Luncheonette. The menu is mostly standard diner fare, and the food is as you'd expect. Seating is close, so any loud group makes it a loud experience for everyone else. Definitely stop in if you're looking for a nice diner meal, especially for breakfast.“
“Omg this place was delicious!! Such great service and Mario was an excellent waiter. He was patient and helped me find foods on the menu that were gluten free for my dietary restrictions. The food was quick and efficient. I appreciate this place so much! Please come and enjoy their fresh food! ❤️??I will be back again!!“

“My friend and I were visiting New York City in the medical district and found your place for lunch. We enjoyed it immensely .... the Panini's and onion rings were outstanding. you even had Iced Tea. Waiter did a great job too. Thank you for making our trip better.“
“I love when I see a tiny diner that seems out of place in NYC. Hector’s is still servicing simple, delicious breakfast.Delicious pancakes, but I wouldn’t spend extra to add blueberries. The pancakes had so few of them scattered around I almost forgot I ordered blueberry pancakes.“
“I came here with some students that went on a college tour to Columbia university. I decided to write this review because I loved how this diner was able to accommodate the kids (which were about 40 something teenagers) and they were so nice to them even giving them extra food. I really liked how fast we got seated and served and all the employees were great to us. Will definitely come back with my own family.“
“Iconic location. All my family loves the spirit here.Madison location is unbeatable of course. This coffee shop also serves as an example how a successful business can be built in a very tiny spot.Cash is king here - they accept cash only! And service is lightning fast!I always order a chicken soup, and sandwiches times to times.A bit too salty - otherwise all perfect!“
“I highly recommend this place. We went during busy hours and only waited 5 minutes for a table. The waitress Sara was honestly my favorite. You can tell this woman has been a server for years and she is amazing. I swear she was waiting at every table in the place but she still had a smile on her face and was cracking jokes with us every time she came to the table. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and more. She did a great job balancing all her tables and providing for all of them. If you get Sara as your server you are in great hands and are in for a fun meal. Tip her well she deserves it!!!! The food came out quickly and was very good. The only downside is the place is slightly crammed but where in NYC is not lol.“
“i've been here several times and all in all it's a great all-american diner. it has soooooo many options (potentially too many because the sacrifice quality for quantity, but they have all day breakfast so can't complain too much). i've gotten the following things here: cheeseburger deluxe (good size, fries are always great not limp and perfectly cooked, they don't always follow the instructions for the cook for the burger but it's always juicy and tastes great, just wish they gave more manageable portions of lettuce and thinner slices of tomato but overall no complaints), chicken fingers (they were literally panko bread crumbed chicken cutlets, no real flavor and they were a strange consistency, wouldn't get again), i got split pea soup here (grainy texture and no flavor - it's the only soup option any day of the week, they make it likely in bulk and serve it all day everyday, wouldn't get again), eggplant parm (serving was literally enormous, served with a really large side of pasta, overall tasted great, eggplant had a a perfect crust from the way it was breaded, good sauce to cheese ratio, would absolutely get again), and also got a cheesecake slice here (decent, nothing special, definitely buy it in bulk and it wasn't particularly fresh but it was good if you want to something sweet to end the night). overall good can be a hit or a miss but just ask the servers they give good recommendations.Speaking of the servers, they're always very nice, consistently check in, patient, and i've never had an issue getting seated straight away. the diner itself is fairly clean, the bathroom could use some more upkeep the floor was beyond sticky, but the booths are wiped down between clients, and i haven't noticed any dirty utensils or plates. will come back :)“
“I have been a customer well over a decade and always been more than satisfied. Cleanliness , quality and preparation of orders are paramount with the owner as well as with the grill man. They take pride and care in every order. The fact that you can get a quality meal in NYC prepared in a meticulously clean environment for such a fair price makes these guys heroes in my book.“
“After trying to get into Carnegie Diner on a Sunday, we were denied as we were a party of 8. Headed to the Brooklyn Dinef and what. Great choice. They were very busy but took out party after a short wait. From the Host to the waiter/ such great attitudes!!! The food was beyond delicious!! Service awesome!! Will definitely be back!!!“
“Yaye was such a sweet and attentive waiter. He was also patient and friendly. Thank you Yaye and the maitre d for the hospitality! The food was delicious! Although, my son ordered a medium steak, it was very much undercooked. However, the skillet cooked it more for him. The salad could use some cucumber and the hanger steak as an add-on option that would’ve made it just perfect! Overall our experience was great!“
“Classic greasy spoon with really friendly staff. It was such a nice, relaxed old school Cafe with delicious breakfast food and a coffee cup that's never empty. Will be going back often! The only tip I would give is to bring cash as there is an upcharge with credit “
“There is a huge selection of dishes here. A tough decision, but no matter what you choose, it will be the right decision. The food here tastes great and is prepared with a lot of love. The staff is very friendly and up for a joke. At the Madison Restaurant I didn't manage to finish my plate because the portions were very large. Afterwards there was an urban piece of chocolate cake on the house. The two of us couldn't do that either. We had it packed up. I will definitely eat here again.“
“It's always great going back to tgis place. I spent alot of time eating here while attending NYU.Service is always great and food s amazing. Clean and affordable. I've returned several times with different generations of my family, daughters and granddaughter , and yesterday with business associates. We had an excellent time and meeting.“
“I Dined in this Evening I was greeted by aGentleman behind the Cash Registet I indicated 1 seat he replied by the window I wanted to make sure I heard him correctly he repeated himself sort of sparky and attitude my Waiter was awesome excellent Service another Waiter came over to find out if I was being taken care of which i though was, very nice the food is Excellent a wide variety as for the seating situation other people came in they were escorted to their table one lone female diner sat at a table another female diner was asked if she would like to sir by the window she declined she was, escorted to a table both of them Caucasian I'm a Black Woman do I sense hidden racism from this individual? also his Waitstaff were doing their jobs he keptwatching them micro managing or needed to be babysitted they weren't doing anything wrong they were very competent and knew what they were doing“
“I live right In between both jimbos, this one and the one on 145..this is the only one that actually brings the food to your door and the delivery drivers are very nice! the other jimbos make you come to the lobby. this will be my only location from now on. THANK “
“If you visit RI in new york then please stop and eat drink here. The food was lovely and wow what a hot chocolate they make, its made with Nutella and wow takes it to another level. The service was excellent and the gentleman there was very attentive to a lady who needed assistance. The prices are great too. I only had a croissant with egg n bacon as I didn't get breakfast and it was delicious. The decor is very nice and has large windows overlooking Riverside.Definitely recommend.“
“Very nice address for this restaurant ?? we had lunch here for our last meal in NYC. Located very close to our hotel in the upper west side.Impeccable service. I recommend this place. We had a good lunch, my plates are well filled. You can go there with your eyes closed ?☺️“
“Fantastic food, fun take on diner staples! Every dish is a version of something you might get somewhere else, just made excellent. Casual atmosphere, but also buzzy and fun. Make a reservation for dinner or get there early for brunch because it does get quite crowded. You probably won’t have a super long meal (food comes out quite quickly - just like a good diner!).“
