My first time here today won't be my last. It's one of those classic small and cozy NYC diners that hasn't been renovated in 40 years. But that's part of the charm, complete with its counter stool seats. I ordered the patty melt with turkey. Not really the healthiest substitution, because of the cheese and butter used to grill the rye bread, but it sure was tasty! Jos Jr. takes me way back when I was a child working with my father. Staff is friendly and the food is what you need at that moment. Whenever I am in the neighborhood, this is where I eat.

A classic no frills diner, they had seating for my group of 5 immediately for 11 AM on a Saturday and was a really good price! I got the Spanish egg white omelette (which I still don't know what exactly was in it other than mushrooms and onions). It came with toast and home fries and although was a little on the oily side, was good and cheap! Quick service and hits the diner food itch.
