Tasty, but not enough. In addition to the dumplings, we also took rolls - this restaurant has reduced portions, so we didn’t get full (although in the video they look like big dumplings). We also calculated VAT for each dish at 8%
We enjoyed the food, especially the cua lột rang muối, but the food came out way too quickly. Spring rolls came out less than a minute after the order was taken and we saw a table next to us get their pho a minute after their order was taken. While I appreciate fast service this made me feel like food was all premade and just waiting to be ordered. Best meal of our NYC weekend was at Madame Vo. Arrived without a reservation at 5:30pm (opening) on a Saturday and the restaurant very quickly filled up. The pork vermicelli was fantastic. The pork was deliciously glazed and blended so well with all the flavours in the bowl. To me, the deep fried spring rolls resembled Chinese spring rolls more than Vietnamese, but they were so tasty regardless.
