Walked in randomly on a Friday and got the toro special. It was a decent price for toro and it was well presented + quickly served. It wasn't too flavorful since the rice wasn't that seasoned. I relied heavily on the soy sauce and wasabi instead and it was a decent experience. It was a lot smaller than it looks though. The food is always fresh with quality ingredients! The manager Daniel is fantastic! Always remembers my name and my order. He often suggests something new for me to try, and hasn’t failed me yet! My favorite after work spot!
I've picked up food from MakiMaki twice for lunch during work. The restaurant is very casual, with minimal seating along the side. They have a decently priced two roll (cutup) special with a couple of good options, although there is an upcharge for several of the rolls. The lunch special comes with a soup (seafood soup or miso soup) and edamame. The seafood soup is really good!
