I used to frequent this place when its was called Jessie's diner; and I'll have to say it's a completely different vibe and feel from the previous owners. The interior has about eight to ten tables and it can feel a little cramped but it's decorated very carefully and has a nice old school vibe from a diner from the early 50s but serving down-home authentic Mexican food. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I stopped by with my family this weekend to have dinner. Not only was the service great, the restaurant is super cute with its beautifully hand painted chairs and tables but the food is beyond amazing! On the weekends they have tamales so we ordered several of the rojos y verdes and they were I'm going to go out there and say the BEST tamales in Newburgh.
