You'd think they would be more welcoming when business has slowed dramatically. More than half the menu was unavailable so I just had the Schooner burger with blue cheese crumbles. It was good, not great. I imagine it's a better time experience during the summer, so YMMV.”

“I went to Schooners with a large group for a late lunch and they were extremely accommodating and the service was extremely friendly. Great spot to get some food and drinks and enjoy a little view. Can't go wrong with a mudslide and some waffle fries!”

“Very pub looking place with a lot of regulars. Food was reasonably priced all of their salads especially the salad specials are exceptional. My husband opted for the Poké bowl and I had that quinoa salad with grilled chicken. Both were tremendous and reasonably priced. Service is always great and I make a point of eating here anytime I am in Ocean Beach.”

“choose the Landing for our son & daughter in law's Post Wedding Breakfast. Everything was amazing. We hosted 40 people and they are all still talking about it. Jon R and his staff could not have been more accommodating. When he told us not to worry about a thing, we do this all the time, he was right! The perfect ending to a wonderful weekend. “The new place is called falafel's and Freits , I've never had any more amazing meal on fire Island, I went with the classic falafel sandwich (at the top of the menu) 10 stars if I could, it was absolutely perfect, there's a little bin on the side with three different kinds of sauces and they smell amazing I tried the mango chutney and the super spicy one and they're so good, it reminds me of turkey or morocco, I've never had better Middle Eastern food without being in the Middle East. The hummus is perfect and the pita is delicious! I don't eat olives or pickled carrots, but the bell peppers that are cut up there's just no words it's absolutely incredible highly recommend!!!!! I talk to the server (Kyle) he's really cool we actually knew people in common from the city. Along with my hummus and pita dish I had also gotten the truffle dust fries 100/10!!!!! ‍”

“Was in there last Thursday...vibes were absolutely vibing. There was a big dude named slooty (sp?) and another bartender named Billy working. When they played unwritten the crowd went nuts. Make sure to try their specialty drink the 'Zippy'. If you're out in fire island and looking for a good time...this is the place to be”

“Have been here a couple times. Great relaxed atmosphere good for families. Extensive menu with many gluten free options because of the corn tortillas for tacos which is important for me. The shrimp fajitas were great coming out on a sizzling platter and you can sub corn tortilla for flour. Coca Cola carnitas tacos also delicious. Drinks very good, had the Mexican Negroni and the margarita. Servers very nice and attentive. One small negative is I probably wouldn't recommend the ceviche. That wasn't the strongest item on the menu, not enough acid for a ceviche in my view. But overall will definitely be back and would recommend. Great place.”

“From the moment we stepped in, the warm and intimate atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our server was absolutely wonderful, attentive and added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. As we moved on to our apps and entrees, we were blown away by the interesting flavors and impeccable presentation. It's clear that the chefs at The State Room are truly passionate about their craft. Highly recommend the shrimp and the beef tartare as each was bursting with flavor. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, which was just as delicious as everything else we had. Overall, a wonderful experience!”

“This place is hands down the best Halal in Patchogue. The woman asked if it was my first time and then got me a sample of the chicken delicious over rice. Out of control good. Everything is Cooked fresh, and you couldn’t ask for a nicer staff. Do yourself a favor, get the Baklava and well. When I got home I put the extra white sauce on my body and pretended to be a Gyro.”

“I always have the skirt steak..it’s my favorite steak. Hubby always has the filet.. Both are delicious. The onion soup is also very good. The Sangria is delish…They do have a price fix menu… which has both the skirt steak and the filet… always a fabulous meal..”

“I took my friend there for her birthday on a Sunday. The server recommended the Prickly Pear Margarita-delicious. She checked on us many times to make sure everything was okay or if we needed anything. We had the corn tamales, tacos and a veggie burger. The food was great, service on point. You can tell, a ton of care and attention went into developing a relaxing, enjoyable speakeasy environment. The steaks, sides and drinks were all excellent. They didn't miss a thing at this place.
