Restaurantji's Patchogue recommendations for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“An absolute hidden gem in Patchogue village for comida authentica Mexicana! We visited for lunch around the holidays for a quick bite. We got sangria and a michelada as drinks to start. The sangria had quite a punch and the michelada had me reminiscing about that one time in Mexico. We got a shrimp sopa to share which came out hot and was super tasty. Our tortas came quickly after. I got the mixto torta which had two kinds of meat, and we also got the Cubano. After they came out we realized we could have split a sandwich because they were huge. The sandwich bread was soft and the sandwich itself was delicious. Aside from the food we got, they offer kids meals and even breakfast! They also have your typical tacos and burritos. I also loved the ambiance of the place, really gave you that feel of Mexico. I honestly cannot wait to go back and try other things they have to offer.“
“Fish tacos babyyyy! Absolutely delicious! Steak and shrimp are excellent too. Best thing is honest to God the homemade chips and salsa. I could eat here everyday! Prices are very reasonable also which is hard to find in this economy. These guys r the real MVPS“
“This is a very beautiful place n staff are very welcoming. The atmosphere is of old Spanish, Mexican style uniquely beautiful. was there to celebrate my birthday with my family portion sizes were very generous staff replenished nachos service was very quick would definitely return to this hidden gem again their flan that they gave me my birthday served me in the restaurant was very fresh. The one I took home, had a bit of a fishy taste not sure if that’s normal was my first time ever having flan, other than that the restaurant is amazing as well as staff prices were reasonable on beyond was welcoming, would return again.Parking: Plenty of free parking as well as handicap parking, right outside location in parking lot.“
“Had a fabulous meal here mid-week. It’s a relaxed fib with delicious food. Had the pulled pork wontons and they were perfect with just the right amount of tangy flavor. Come for the drinks and stay for the food. Super spot to meet up with friends.“
“Came to write my review so fast. Chicken tacos were delicious. I got them doordashed and they were still so hot, double wrapped with a soft corn shell so they didn’t get soggy, and then individually wrapped in tin foil. I appreciate this level of care because tacos can get messy. The chicken was tender and juicy and the flavors were on point, and the tacos were filled well for the price! Highly recommend“
“We stopped here bc my bf remembers visiting this deli as a regular when he was attending the middle school behind it. A LOT has changed since then. It's a little Mexican deli now! My bf got an egg sandwich with sausage bacon & cheese. He said he enjoyed it. I tried the hot & ready food available at the buffet because I was pleasantly surprised that it was early 10am & a lot of options were readily available. I had a small rice, beans and beef stew. Delicious. Very pleasant breakfast. I wish I would have paused & read the menu a little longer. I would have ordered a torta, barría tacos or a quesadilla. I honestly can't wait to come back for another swing! I couldn't find a breakfast deli in the area so I'm happy to add them to the Yelp map!“
“Very similar to Chipotle which I used to love but now we only eat here. Some of the servers have a weird way of changing the prices (more expensive) and giving smaller portions of food. It all depends on whom is working. Other than that, the food is delicious, better than Chipotle in my opinion“
“It is honestly one of the best places on Patchogue to Eat, not only the food is fresh and delicious, but the price is amazing for the big portions they give!! anyone else that says another way is a straight total hater from this Family own Restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They sell candies for kidsParking: It has a lot space to park comfortable“
“The most delicious Mexican food I have eaten on Long I since I moved to New York from California 40 years ago!!It is fresh, inventive, well-prepared and nicely presented and divine. This is not your run of the mill rice and beans tacqueria that everyone on Long Island settles for. This is real authentic Mexican, the way it should be.My friend and I ordered margaritas which were perfectly bright, refreshing and served the way they're supposed to be served. The tortilla chips were fresh and the salsa had just the right amount of zing.We ordered the Empanada Mariscos appetizer, a seafood empanada appetizer which was very fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the Enchiladas Campenchano, which looked so delicious, I asked to taste the sauce. She wasn't as familiar with Mexican food. But she absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back. Amazing. Guess what I am ordering on my next visit?!I ordered the mole enchiladas. Can I say OMG!!! Rich, complex, and wonderfully silky and excellent, the mole was perfectly prepared and presented, as it should be, on corn tortillas filled with tender, juicy chicken. The Mexican chocolate in the sauce absolutely sang. Incredible. I had goosebumps!! It tasted like more.Since we were celebrating a birthday we ordered Coffe Flan!! Melt in your mouth, indescribably rich and delicious!!! It was light and smooth with just the perfect amount of coffee flavor. Succulent. The staff surprised my friend with a generous piece of tres leches with a candle on it, and they sang happy birthday to her. She was thrilled.Summary: The ambiance is bright and festive. The service is attentive and warm. The cuisine (yes, cuisine) was incredibleTlhe prices, for this level and quality, were just right and worth every penny.Bottom line: We cannot wait to go back.By the way, they also serve brunch!!“
