“I recently had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful wine bar, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing evening. The charcuterie board was a delightful array of flavors and textures, perfectly complementing the diverse selection of wines available on tap. Each bite was a journey through savory delights, expertly curated to tantalize the taste buds. While we encountered a small issue with the temperature of one plate, it was quickly and efficiently addressed by the attentive staff without us even having to request it. This level of proactive service truly speaks to the commitment to customer satisfaction at this establishment. Our server, Sarah, was an absolute gem. Not only was she friendly and approachable, but she also proved to be an excellent guide, helping us navigate the extensive menu and wine bar selections with ease. Her recommendations were spot-on, showcasing her thorough knowledge of the drinks and menu offerings.Overall, my experience at this wine bar was nothing short of exceptional. With its inviting atmosphere, delectable charcuterie boards, and signature drinks that tease the taste buds, it's the perfect destination for anyone looking to unwind and indulge in a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of what this hidden gem has to offer. Cheers to Sarah and the entire team AND MY HUSBAND? for making it an unforgettable evening!”
“The food was delicious, although $4 for one halved devilled egg is a bit much, 2 halves per order. Short rib hash was incredible and full of flavor. Classic breakfast was also very good. Coffee was not the best and refills were not plentiful, we had to ask each time and only received two cups each (over an hour) for both tea and coffee. Would definitely go back to try something else. Layout was nice and music wasn't too loud upstairs, although downstairs was louder.”
“I have been going to J & T's Cafe for many years. The food and service is always consistently good. What really takes it over the top are the freshly homade soups, which there is 6 or more varieties. Everything is prepared fresh everyday, and the best home cooked food around. The clientele that frequent this establishment are also very pleasant, which also is an indication of their satisfaction with this establishment. For those few disgruntled customers, take your frustration out on your wives or significant other. John and the crew at J & T's are aces.”
“Not only were the portions perfect and the food delicious, the staff was friendly and extremely accommodating of my boyfriends tree nut allergy! 10/10 recommend, it is definitely the best restaurant I've been to in a ”
“Such a cute bookstore and Cafe. The selection of books was very unique as they had many special edition copies. The children's section was also quite nice and I got a particularly good book for a friend for her upcoming baby shower. They also had a good number of games for sale, many of which I had never even seen before. Excellent place to stop by if you are into books or libraries.”
“My kids introduced me to this establishment last week.I didn't know what to expect, but I like hot!!!There is no shortage of heat here!!!The idea of using dry rub instead of sauce for heat, it makes the all difference. If you appreciate flavor profiles you will appreciate the sliders. The combination of hot chicken, sweet sauce, and crisp clean (non vinegary) coleslaw is on point.Great thought went into this simple but complex taste.I will definitely be frequenting this establishment.Thank you kids you actually showed me something for once...”
“Quaint adorable coffee shop with outstanding food and coffee. Love their cookies! Where else can you get an amazing coffee and then a delicious pot pie to bring home for later?”
“We pass through the area regularly enough to have been here many times. The staff are all friendly, even though they don't know our names as they do for most of those who eat there! The breakfast items we've ordered are always properly prepared, and the coffee hot, but the one time we ate off the lunch menu we weren't thrilled and decided that in the future we'd stick with breakfast, which they serve morning and afternoon (we've never made it there the one evening a week they're open for dinner). They always have breakfast specials which are very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is a welcome step back in time so we look forward to returning.”
“We had lunch with friends today during restaurant week. The place was so busy, but we got excellent service, with a smile. The food was outstanding!! Thank you for a wonderful meal. Can't wait to return. Amazing.”
“We tried Lorenzo's Southside for the first time last night for takeout. It was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hand-breaded and unique in flavor, not your run-of-the-mill calamari. I had the Veal Milanese, which was tender and outstanding; the arugula and balsamic made the dish seem light while the Stracciatella added just the right amount of creaminess and balance. My husband had the Gnocchi Brasata; the short rib and sauce were incredibly flavorful although the gnocchi was slightly denser than expected but still delicious. I also had the carrot cake, which was hands-down the best I've ever eaten in my life. For the quality of the food (everything handmade), I felt the pricing was excellent. We had 2 meat entrees, 1 pasta course, 1 appetizer and 2 desserts for just over $103. I'm not sure how anyone could complain about that price. We will definitely return to Lorenzo's. Highly recommend!”
“Great dinner tonight, the Mofongo with shrimp in a criollos sauce was to die for. The dinner enough for 2. Came with amarillos and rice. A great value. Great job Cuba.”
“The BEST!! All of their food is cooked to perfection, lots of great specials as well. Shout out to Johnnys just a great restaurant and the bartenders are friendly and alert. Our fav place in Schenectady by far”
“Always very friendly service. The grilled salmon with ginger is one of my favorites as well as roast duck. .They serve a large, nicely done piece of salmon with plenty of bok choy, broccoli, rice noodles or rice, along with pickled Daikon and carrots......enough for 2 large portion meals! My very favorite is grilled tofu with peanut sauce but unfortunately it's only served at Albany location.”
“I visited again a couple of days ago with a friend. Service with a smile and great food! We shared s jalepeno popper app. I had the pork w stuffing special and my friend had the open faced turkey dinner. For dessert I had peanut butter chocolate cream pie, my friend had the cherry chocolate cream pie. Everything was delish!Unique interesting decore, great food, awesome service and great prices. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!Parking: Parking is tight and over flows to the street.”
“The smell when you walk in is FABULOUS!! Truly an Italian deli...the staff is wonderful...and the food...OMG.....prices are good ...food is delicious...freshly baked breads...I love it! Been there 3 times in 3 weeks! Always good!!”
“Hands down best Italian left in the area. We both got chicken parm. It was the best we have had in the capital district. The clam chowder soup and meatballs were awesome too some of the best we have ever had!We hope the owners stay open for many years to come and the recipes don't change”
“Had the mighty zinger, and it was so so delicious. They took 25 minutes to prepare it but was worth the wait. It felt like it was made with love. The mango lassi is one of of the best I’ve had too.”
“Bringing a Smith's Orchard pie(s) to a family event, is like Santa walking in with a sack full of gifts. The smiles and anticipation everyone has for these, "as good as grandma's" pie(s) is "Priceless".”
“We love this place! We have been coming here for over 30 years. Service is excellent. Food is exceptional. Mostly we love that it’s small so you get more personalized service from your server. They are like family.”
“Best place ever you can go sit and eat breakfast lunch the food is so good you would think you at home cooking this is my favorite place to eat especially when I'm in the hood wonderful ?”
“I never leave reviews, but the new owner of the diner have really made this a little gem. Amazing from scratch home cooking, with a cute atmosphere, and great service. Highly recommend that you visit.”
“If you go, and you should. Get the loaded hot dogs! I usually order to go and get either the hot dogs or their open faced turkey sandwich.I only ate inside once, and they were super busy, but we still received our food, delicious and hot.Absolutely go here if you are able.”
“Discovered this gem on my drive from Northern Cal to Boston in January. Joe’s shop is on the Mohawk River below Amsterdam Castle & next to the original Erie Canal Store! Historical ambiance off the charts here. Oh & he cooks up a lot more than hot dogs. His meat-sauce omelette is a solid culinary 10.”
“They have a very big menu and I have been trying everything and so far EVERYTHING is REALLY GOOD and they service is also Phenomenal I definitely recommend For dinner and drinks or just the food definitely give them a try I did and did not regret ”
“My daughter and I are from NJ and were traveling back down from Burly, VT after the GAI waterfront concert last weekend. We shad booked overnight in amsterdam at the castle hotel nearby on Saturday night as a place to stay before we headed to Hobart book village on our way home on Sunday. On Sunday morning my daughter found G's for us for breakfast. It was quite the experience. The food was delicious and the homemade breads used in my breakfast sandwich and my daughter's GF breakfast pizza were amazing! And the coffee was delicious and just right. But the people were the highlight. The owner and her husband, a local teacher, were so kind and friendly and so were the locals, who kept streaming in and out for their am pastries and coffee. We met some really nice folks and left with a full homemade delicious meal in our bellies that carried us through the entire day.I don't know if I would go back to Amsterdam NY for the "castle" (for over $300 per night it was OK and offered no sit down breakfast there for guests) but if I'm ever within an hour of the area again soon, I will definitely find my way to G's!!!”

“Morrocan food in Schenectady in practically unknown but thanks to Chef Aneesa Waheed, Tara Kitchen has become The Electric City's best kept secret. They serve up their tagines and lunch buffet with a side of great atmosphere, good food and great service.”
“A good travel plaza with plenty of options for food, drinks and snacks. Not to mention plenty of room in the restrooms to accommodate plenty of visitors. I liked that they had a farmers market outside of the plaza. Everything was neat and clean with plenty of parking.”
