“I came toward the end of their service hours, about 9:20 and was greeted warmly. Service was impeccable and the food was so delicious. I usually get Indian food in Astoria along 30th Ave. None compare to Cardamom. They are not huge and doesn’t seat many, but it is clean, well decorated and the staff is friendly and attentive.I had the lamb methi curry, vegetable samosa, naan and mango lassi. All were perfectly delicious and beautifully presented. If I were to have one complaint it would be that the methi curry could’ve been spicier since I ordered at the highest spice level and found it to be just mild. Still delicious though.I will come here instead of my usual haunts.“

“At first glance, you would think this shop is just a wholesaler, but to my surprise you can actually buy boxes too!! They have a wide array/variety of sweets and all of them looked heavenyl. The gentleman whowas running the place is extremely professional and helpful. He allowed me to sample 4-5 pieces of the sweet itself. I ended up buying 4 small boxes and 2 big boxes. Toally affordable priced as well! My favorite was definitely the “Mango barfi” which is a milk based sweet. I finally have a place i can go to for all my sweet needs! Especially since it is Ramadan and sweets are necessary for every iftaar.“

“A solid Tibetan restaurant in Jackson heights! I can see why the won the momo walk twice! Food: I loved the spicy chicken momos - honestly the best thing we ordered! The Singaporean noodles with chicken was also delicious and very flavorful - full of veggies! The vegetable noodles were also solid! The paneer chili was well made but the paneer itself lacked flavor! the Himalayan Thalia offered a few different things including a fondue - esque dip, fried dough, and potato, bean soup! I was not a fan and won't order this again. The veggie dumplings with potato, cheese and spinach wasn't my favorite - it was a bit sweet, which I found odd Service: great service! The space is small but packed and our waitress was lovely! Ambience: small but ample seating with outdoor and indoor seating! Nothing special! Price: for the portion sizes - great price“

“There is a lack of good Indian restaurants in Queens but I can say this restaurant is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Forest Hills (and Central Queens) and one of the best in the city. It's a small restaurant but clean, minimal, and welcoming; one half of the restaurant looks basic while the other half has South Asian inspired murals which is unique. This restaurant focuses on serving popular Indian dishes loved by people in the US, so I got a basic meal of lamb biryani, butter chicken, chili chicken, and cheese naan. The lamb biryani is not made like a slow cooked biryani but it has the flavor of proper Indian biryanis, and the lamb was actually tender and not very gamey. I asked for a medium spice Butter Chicken and I must say this restaurant has some of the best butter chicken and the medium spice is tolerable. I think some people underestimate how hard making a proper butter chicken is, but many restaurants overwhelm the dish with either too much cream or too much tomato so its either too heavy/sweet or too acidic and tomatoey, but this one was very much balanced. The chicken pieces were also soft. The chili chicken was nice and spicy, with some peppers and onions, you get a nice, saucy, spicy, and crunchy dish to start off your meal. The cheese naan was a bit of a let down though, it was not that cheesy and I believe the cheese used was paneer, so it does not give the taste, feel, or pull like mozarella would. Overall, this restaurant has the best Indian food in the neighborhood and does it right. Their staff and manager are also very attentive and they make time to talk to everyone for feedback and meal requests.Vegetarian options: Lot of cauliflower, paneer, and potato dishesWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is technically in a basement but there is an elevator you can use to go down“

“Service via Everytime I visit Queens, I make it a point to visit Singh's to get some good, authentic Trini food. From what I recall, pre-Covid Singh's was a lively restaurant where soca played through the speakers, a variety of Islanders would be liming and enjoying the vibes, and there was trini food and snacks galore. From Trini Chinese fried chicken, to doubles, to pone, chubby, shandy, and everything else that you'd want to enjoy. Since my first visit, I've remained loyal to Singh's.My last visit this past weekend, I didn't have the time to get over to their location, so instead I ordered on UberEats, grimacing at the $6.99 delivery fee. I placed my order at 6:30 a.m., since they open at 6 a.m. and received my order within an hour, delivered by a very polite young man. The food was packed very well - there was no spillage which I was expecting from the curry.I ordered pholourie (which came with TWO tasty tamarind sauces), 2 doubles, and one boneless chicken dhal puri roti. Everything tasted just like I remembered it to be. I packed some to take back with me to COS to extend the pleasure of the meal. Still, there was minimal spillage of the curry throughout my flights, so that was a huge win.Singh's thank you for your authentic Trini cuisine. I look forward to visiting your establishment when I next return.“

“Maspeth has good Indian again!! New chef as of 5 months ago.My husband and I loved this place when it was an Indian Nepalese place, but something happened(maybe change of ownership),and it went downhill. We vowed never to eat there again. However, something told my husband to check again after 3 years! Another review mentioned a new chef. We just came back and promised him to write a positive review because he, well deserves it!We order Chana Masala and chicken Tikka with garlic Nann. It's was so delicious with good portions! The pricing was really good, too, in this economy. My husband loves spicy, so his plate brought on the spice. I am more of a mild girl, and my plate had good flavor but didn't kill my tongue. Our 7 month old baby gobbled up the garlic nann! We are for sure adding Masala Kitchen back to our rotation of eatery. Please try them again bc we heard that this location might be sold off. Which would be a shame because Maspeth could use a good Indian spot.“

“One of the best Indian restaurants in/around Nassau. I have no time to go to Jackson Highets, but this place accommodates our craving for good Indian foods. Samosa Chaat here is a gem. I can eat this forever. I also love their butter chicken and garlic naan. Service is super good. A young Indian man is always behind the counter to serve. He is very friendly and kind.“

“Amazing food all around. Had the sweet corn soup and samosa chaat as starters, and they were both really good. The samosa chaat had the right spice level!Veg Hakka noodles is the main I got while my partner got Singapore noodles with shrimp. The Hakka noodles were perfection in texture, not oily, not soggy, just right and very generous portions too. Needed a little bit of salt but that's easily fixed and I'd rather have less salt in a dish than too much!Partner said the shrimp was cooked beautifully in their noodles and was very flavourful.Had the ras Malai for dessert and it was really good too. As previous reviews have mentioned, Tanveer was an excellent server and was very sweet and helpful. The restaurant is very clean, has really good table settings and overall the atmosphere is cosy for a dine in. Highly recommend them for their food + all around service.“

“Solid Indian food in the heart of Jackson Heights. I was able to walk in on a Sunday for lunch. The food was good and everything came out as very hot and fresh. Everything tasted like what I was expecting, which is good. I ordered the samosa chaat, pani puri, shrimp masala, chicken masala, bread basket (garlic naan was my fave from the basket, chicken biryani, and saag paneer. Surprisingly, this was one of the BEST saag paneers I’ve ever had. I loved how this restaurant uses big pieces of fried paneer. I also loved the biryani because it came with cashews, which added a nice crunch, and yogurt sauce on the side.New location opened across the street! The new place is more modern compared to the older location and very clean. The service was good! The employees are kind and friendly! Would definitely recommend for those wanting Indian food at a nice sit down restaurant. Great place to to bring people who have never had Indian food!Vegetarian options: There’s a section that’s just vegetarian - large selection of veggies, cheese options.“
