Staff and servers were excellent, drinks were on point! Huge shoutout to the chefs, the meal was cooked to perfection!
Would have given Black & Blue a 5; but, the waiter forgot to bring me my drink that I ordered to have with the oysters. Also, did not bring my partner's drink until way after his entrée was served. Food was fab, though. And, we had a great table. Dessert, very yummy. Don't go there for lobster. Having just came back from Maine, the prices for the lobster at B&B were ridiculously high.
Great service, best food.
Service sucked. Linda was our waitress. It was my Birthday and she was Super slow, we had to keep asking her for things that she should know to bring with our appetizers. She wasn't rude, but slow. The food was ok... it definitely wasn't 5 star. I'll probably NEVER go back. Had to send our steak back because we asked for medium and it was WELL DONE .
Food was absolutely amazing and service was just as good. Pricey, so prepare your wallet, No time wasted getting seated, food came out fast. By far the best restaurant I’ve been to and I’ll be back.
Easily the best steak I've had at any restaurant. Flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and perfect texture. Wagyu meatballs and Lobster dip were both really good. Lobster add-on for steak and the sides our party ordered were all boring and lacked flavor. I will definitely come back for the steak.
We went here for my birthday dinner. There were 4 of us. We all loved what we ordered. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was absolutely outstanding. The waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable about the food, the cocktails…It was a perfect birthday dinner and is now my favorite restaurant!
Fantastic food. Incredible service. Staff was unbelievably knowledgeable about every detail of the food. They could articulate the production, shipping and preparation of everything. Well worth the price. This is my go-to when I have some extra money!
Food was absolutely amazing. Every server was extremely attentive to our every need. Definitely will be back soon!!
Just want to say I called Friday for a reservation for 6 on Sunday for 4pm to celebrate my birthday with my family. I have a younger sounding voice (don't know if this made a difference but you will know why I'm saying this soon) and the girl said the restaurant was completely booked and could not accommodate me. I had my mom call a minute later and they had no problem getting us in. We got there and the restaurant was in no way full the entire time we were there. The food was as expected. Tasty for a nice place in rochester but disgusted by the fact that I felt discrimination in accommodations. It was a birthday dinner and the waitress assumed it was for (again) my mother and gave her my complementary dessert. I will say the waitstaff was attentive overall and the salad was delicious. Mojito made well. My fiancé's fish was under sauced but that was minor. Overall the saying holds true that people come for the food but return for the hospitality. I will not be returning
I've heard and read of folks having a wide range of experiences at this Pittsford Plaza steakhouse, so when I booked a dinner for my partner's birthday, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I hadn't been since college and even then I think I just ordered soup? I digress. You can tell by the 5 stars that we had a truly wonderful experience! We were so well taken care of, the food and cocktails were perfection, and the space is lovely. We started at the bar with cocktails until it was time for our reservation. I went with a delicious spritz cocktail with aperol and rosè, and my date enjoyed a flawless Manhattan. The hostess took us to our table at the back of the restaurant where our server and her assistant took excellent care of us through the duration of the evening. Answered all of our questions, and food came out at the perfect clip. We started with a split caesar salad, and this is the thing I would likely skip the next time we go. No issues, no wow factor, just skippable. Our steaks were fired up to perfection, and we went with a side of mashed potatoes to really seal the deal. I ordered with the bistro filet, their least expensive cut, and enjoyed it just as much as many pricier steaks I've ordered at other steakhouses. My date went with the filet mignon and half a lobster, both of which he said were flawless. Medium rare perfection for both of us, and they even wrapped up our night with a complimentary birthday dessert. This was a rich chocolate torte with raspberry reduction - super classic and super yummy. We left feeling like we had a really special night, and what more can you want for an occasion meal celebration? I am really grateful to the whole team at Black and Blue who helped make Col's birthday such a special treat. We'll be back! Thank you thank you!
The service was above amazing the blonde bartender was working double duty behind the bar and waiting tables she never missed a beat and never wrote down anything. Drinks were brought out almost instantly after ordering them, the food was cooked perfectly. Hands down beat overall dining experience I’ve ever had. Would not hesitate to eat there again. Tell all your friends that it’s a must when in Rochester.
My husband and I come here every year for our anniversary. We ask for a table upstairs, it’s quieter. The service is is close to perfect. The wine knowledge and selection extensive. Good portion sizes on the sides and the meals are always delicious. The house gives us a complimentary champagne toast and little truffles after dinner.
Food was sooo good! Definitely on the pricier side in rochester, but overall the food was amazing and the staff were even better! We will definitely be going back soon!
Fantastic food, wonderful service, will definitely be coming back here again. Pricey meal but the quality is amazing.
