My wife and I were in Rochester for a conference and tried John’s Tex-Mex and they have really good Mexican food! We had the taco’s, chips with salsa and guacamole and few other dishes! Their original margaritas are legit! One will probably do it! Would highly recommend this place for Mexican food!
One of my favorite places, especially in the South Wedge. The shrimp tacos are incredible and I personally have ordered a second order just to take home. Amazing vegetarian options, including their unbeef nachos. Didn't love the tostada. Good atmosphere and cocktails, especially the spicy marg. While not the best area, it's not unsafe, and has convenient parking. Definitely always worth a stop!

Nice little dive. After our museum trip we were starving! Needed to find a place that offered vegan/vegetarian options and this fit the bill. Upon entering we were greeted by the bartender and then seated. Our server was super sweet and made sure our cups stayed full.I had the shrimp tacos, wife had the vegan Mexican plate, one kid had the enchiladas, one had the cheese quesadilla and the other had a beef quesadilla.
