Fantastic restaurant for a special occasion. Food was delicious and service was exemplary. Portions are on the small size but my sea bass was cooked to perfection. Our sushi order was a little slow coming but worth the wait. Husband's lamb was also perfect. Definitely recommend Next Door.

Food was incredible Celebrating my granddaughter's 16th birthday. Multiple staff came over and wished her a happy birthday, they were all so kind and professional. Can't wait till our next visit

I used to be a frequent visitor since I had my anniversary celebration dinner with my boyfriend there. I strongly doubt this restaurant had passive discrimination towards Asian people. We ordered roasted chicken and it took us over an hour without seeing anything. In time between, no waiters gave us a look and ignored our eye contact. However, the waiters were so nice to the tables around us with cares, frequent visits, and jokes where there are white people. They ONLY ignored us. When we came to the front desk, they only made excuses for their waiters and just said it always took longer time for the chicken??? They had no extra explanation for us even had no “sorries” at all. They were all so arrogant. I have never been to this place anymore even if I really love the food there. This was really a traumatized experience for me!

We had a great experience from the bar to our table in the dining area. Staff members were courteous and attentive and the food was great. We enjoyed our whole experience and will be back again.

If you want mediocre food that is wildly overpriced, come here. This place STINKS. The sushi in their grocery store across the street is better. For what you spend here you can go to a thousand better places. In fact, for what you spend here you can probably have Taco Bell 10X and get better food.

Entree items pretentiously priced for what you get. Many more restaurants in ROC that give you decent portions for much lower prices. Just because you CAN charge from $25 (burger) to $80 (wagyu steak) doesn't mean you should. If you had a Michelin Star chef - maybe. But even REDD who HAS a Michelin Star chef doesn't charge these prices. Tempura battered shrimp was mostly tempura. Favorites were Bigeye Tuna Tartare and Spicy Salmon Sushi Roll. Croissant bread pudding with banana ice cream was over priced for such a small portion.

Ambience was great. Enjoyed the wood fireplace, the seating was cozy and the service, thanks to our server Laura, was absolutely subperb!!! Our entrees were good, but portions were small for the money spent. Wines were of excellent quality and dessert was very good. The menu was limited, but seemed to have one choice of each category. Overall, we would like to return, but will watch for an improved menu for red meats, as we don't eat sushi. We were celebrating an anniversary and enjoyed the ambiance.

We had a lovely booth with a view of the sushi bar. The only issue was the seats of the booth were high compared to the height of the table which made eating a bit awkward. Another issue with this type of seating was since I'm under 5'2” my feet could not touch the ground and it was uncomfortable.

WE had reserved dinner as a late Valentine's day dinner for the two of us. We were seated in a semi private area that we had never experienced before and it was very nice until thios party of five women were seated and they were very very loud which was annoying. The tables were in anarea that had new carpeting so seating we had to pull the table out in order to get into the cute little banket sofas. These had pillows which was a nice touch but the backsare pretty low so if you like a seat with a back to lean on this is not the table for you. About the food what can I say everything was excellent. And the server even had the kitchen break our salad into two portions since we were spliting it. Except for the noise from those ladies everything was excellent. Evan the waitress was not going to let us tip her extra which we did but she was not expecting it. Such great service! We will be back!

The service was pleasant, atmosphere was cool, and the quality of the food was fantastic. The lobster tail however was extremely small and no pick was provided. Overall a must try, just don't get the lobster!

They have such unique dishes here. The flavors are absolutely amazing. I loved everything that we got. Sushi and pastas. It's definitely an experience dining here. Such a beautiful atmosphere.

Nextdoor used to be my favorite restaurant until recently. We went this evening and dined in the bar area. The prices at Nextdoor have increased significantly which is fine, but the service was unacceptable. Our meal cost 200 plus dollars and we cut it short bc the service was unacceptable. If you order a cocktail; expect to wait 20 minutes. The prices have doubled, and the service is terrible now. We have been long term customers of this establishment, but won’t be returning.

THE WORST! I've been here 2 hours for a pre fix dinner with ONE course and ONE drink. The lobster ravioli had ONE ravioli. We're starving. My boyfriend left to get us roast beef sandwiches from Arby's down the street while we wait. What a JOKE. Don't come here. It's NOT worth it.
