For a first timer, it was amazing. Food was delicious and plenty and the craft beer on tap was outstanding. This is truly a landmark establishment and wish I found out about it way before I read that they were closing. If you have not tried it yet, do so soon!!

My friend told me they have rly good Poutine, which I had never had before. So we went and the staff seated us quickly and took our order. The poutine was so flavorful and warm - perfect for a cold winter day! The cheese curds and gravy were a great combo and the potatoes/fries were a great texture. Didn't try anything else, but would love to come back !

We're heading back to this wonderful spot for the last time...It seems they are closing at months end and that sucks...Another great place to eat has bitten the culinary dust or soon to be dust...If you want to experience this spot before it closes for good, get down there and enjoy a wonderful evening of dinning pleasure...Sad to see it go...RIP T&M...

Hands down the best place for beer in Rochester. The staff are all great, and the beer selection never disappoints. The atmosphere is always great too. If you’re only in town for a day, you should stop here.

We came for the famous fish and chips, but were unexpectedly blown away by the veggie burger. Tap and Mallet has all of their burgers available in vegetarian-friendly form with a house-made chickpea patty, which was flavorful and honestly better than most conventional burgers I’ve eaten. The fish and chips was as delicious as expected, and there were so many french fries we ended up taking half home. The pretzel appetizer with pimiento cheese and honey mustard was a winner, and we will definitely get it again on our next visit.
One of the best beer bars in town and much better than average bar food. What’s not to like?!

A nice pub to stop in for a bite. Plenty of beer selections, the food was good and a nice atmosphere. The Cuban sandwich and burgers we had were terrific. We had a little hiccup and the manager addressed it immediately and ensured we had a pleasant visit. Give it a Try!

They have good food and vegan options, solid beer selection too. My only complaints are it's a little pricey and most of the beers come in glasses smaller than a pint.

Wow! The fish fry is by far the best I’ve ever had. Brought my English father here for dinner on 10/8/21 and he was blown away!!! He says this is the closest thing to the “chippies” from his youth. Will definitely be back for sure. Highly recommend Tap and Mallet. Absolutely stunning meal.
