“First time coming and it was an incredible experience. I enjoyed each dish I had. The blend of spices in each unique dish was indescribable. The Chai was the best I've ever had. I don't identify as vegan or vegetarian but this will be a regular spot for me going forward. I love the atmosphere and it was clear to see this was a special spot as regulars knew the staff by name.“
“So I went again and they were delightful as ever and when I reluctantly mentioned the nutella arancini they immediately made me new ones and were so apologetic though they really didn't have to be. There was a story that went along with it that was funny on their side too. Overall the salty dessert situation was comical and these guys really are the best. I brought the batch of vegetarian arancini home and had some people try them who had never even heard of arancini before and they are now fans and keep asking when we are going to go back and get more!!!! The answer to that is... today!!!! I plan to buy their pizza arancini for my boys today. Can't wait.“
“I absolutely love The Owl House! I haven't been since 2012 when I visited Rochester. I moved here recently, so my friend and I came for brunch. He's vegan, and they have so many awesome vegan options! He had vegan stuffed French Toast that was awesome! The vegan cinnamon struessel tasted so good too! I had The Cat's Pajamas cocktail but with pomegranate because I'm allergic to strawberries and it was delightful! And the Owl House Breakfast was WOW! Those potatoes were FANTASTIC! Everything was fantastic. I can't wait to come back for more. I'm so glad I live close now!The staff is amazing too! So positive and helpful and lovely. “Food here is really good.Their sesame tofu dish is probably one of the best dishes I've ever had. It is tofu bites smothered in this coconut curry sauce that is to die for and served with rice. I cannot find a single other place that makes the sauce as good as they do here.Only downfall is their service is a bit rude or short with people. But I deal with it for the food.“
“Absolutely fantastic food in generous portions. The owner made sure we had a lovely time and even brought out a traditional Ethiopian stringed instrument and played a few measures for us. There is a sign that says they offer a vegetarian buffet during the week. No I am a huge fan of Ethiopian food and my only regret is that I’m just passing through and will only have one more chance to eat there again before we leave.Vegetarian options: Since many Ethiopians are Coptic Christians, they embrace many vegetarian dishes for religious reasons.
