“Great place and Margaret is the nicest bar tender ?. One of the only places that has QuickDraw around. Lots of dart ? boards, pool table and it looks small until you get inside.... It's pretty big. ☘️☘️ We'll be back again.“
“This has been my favorite bar for 10 years. They are consistently wonderful. From the owners to the bartenders, especially Mel. They are an integral part of the community. You aren’t fully experiencing Saratoga Springs without a visit to this establishment. They’re open 7 days a week, earlier than everyone else, and the food is delicious. Very reasonably priced. “Working in Saratoga Springs, NY for the week and it's #WingWednesday! So I did some searching around downtown and found a restaurant, but they had run out of wings by like 7:00pm! That sounds wild and like somebody didn't place an order... Hmm... Anyway, I started wandering and walked by The Ice House and I read that their menu mentioned "smoked wings". SOLD. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is a bit strange... Let me explain. The actual building where you can eat is so small, however, directly to the right of the building is a giant open tent and an outdoor section. I actually asked the server what happens in the winter and she said that tent is heated so well. So that's the dining room! Lol. Under this tent is a decent size stage where they host live music. This place really is just all about the people you're with and the food, no frills. I'm all in. Service: I can't remember who took care of me but all was well. Food: So I tried out 5 different flavors of their smoked wings that are smoked for 6 to 8 hours then flash-fried for crispiness. Here goes. Jamaican Jerk: There were flavors of cinnamon, light herbs and super smokiness. Absolutely delicious. Garlic Parmesan: The wing smell alone reminded me of being in a pizzeria. These reminded me of the garlic butter that Red Lobster cooks their shrimp scampi in. These were AMAZING and honestly probably some of the best of this flavor variation that I've ever had. Nashville Hot: The color on these was awesome. Such a deep, red color. These were gritty, spicy, a bit oily and it worked so well with the smokey undertone. Cajun Dry Rub: The smell of these reminded me of a Cajun crust I used to get at Hungry Howie's in Michigan. Lol. These were crispy, hearty, smokey and just wing after wing... they kept on impressing me. Hot: One thing I want to reiterate with these wings is how you can see "through" the sauce. The sauce has penetrated the skin and is deep into the meat of the chicken. It's not just sauced tossed on top. THESE IS DIFFERENT. Lol. The hot flavor was just fine. Spicy, but I could use more. However, with the bleu cheese these are excellent. Value: I can't remember what I paid for my wings, but it wasn't anything unreasonable. I would've remembered that for sure. Lol. So yeah, wings usually are on the more expensive side, but everything else here is extremely reasonable. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here and I 100% will be revisiting this place when I'm in the area again!“
“10 wings are $18. A spicy crispy chicken sandwich with an upgrade to a French onion soup is $18. Of course the wings come with carrots, celery, and dressing that cost all of three cents to the restaurant. Wanted to try the best wings in town, but the math makes zero sense especially knowing what it costs the restaurant to buy them. Do better.“
“The customer service was outstanding, and the food really hit the spot, it was exactly what I was looking for. I was so pleased with the service I received from this restaurant.They went above and beyond to help me. The manager, Aubrie, was kind enough to help me read and pick my meal as I had forgotten my eyeglasses. I was very greatful for her help.Also, I was very impressed with the quality of the food I received. It was very good and fast service, good menu choices … not overly extensive. They know how to prepare their meat well. I had the loaded whiskey burger and sides, it was DELICIOUS! Prices were reasonable, I will definately come back, and maybe bring some friends with me.“
“We happened to stop and eat on this past Saturday in that big storm .... we had a great time. The food was delicious...the waitresses were wonderful and the service was very fast. Everyone had something different and it all looked and smelled delicious. See you again “
“Here on a work trip. Walked into this applebees my first night and was treated like I belonged and they knew me. Came back for lunch and was treated the same way. Never seen workers actully working together and care about each other. The best part. Came back for dinner on monday and the bartender working made me smile everytime she laughed or talked in general. Breath of fresh air in this crazy world.“
