Never had Guyanese food before but now I will be eating it often. The staff at the counter walked me through what each dish was and was polite to me. The food was delicious, had the jerk chicken and fried rice which had a unique flavor similar but different to Jamaican style. I had a fried hardboiled egg and fried fish cake (similar to a Portuguese fish cakes) that were delicious. I visited this spot each time I pass through Schenectady. Friendly staffs and quick service. Sucks they don’t make pholourie anymore, I also like they Roti and fried fish. Inside always clean when visited, however the store open less days now than before.
Went here for lunch today. Picked up the j*** chicken with rice meal. Wow!!! Very, very good. The chicken was fall off the bone tender, and the spice level was perfect! Enough to leave your lips tingling, but not so hot- that you can't enjoy it. The rice was moist, flavorful, and full of veggies. I had it topped with extra j*** chicken sauce!
